The Vitamin Shoppe

Two hideously rude employees make this a place I no longer choose to patronize. These two creatures lounge by the computer and if you ask them to, say, ring you up or for any help at all they look you up and down as if you just insulted their mother. horrible staff. If you are reading this, use the internet to buy vitamins — cheaper and you won’t be supporting these creeps.

Had to get some protein and carbs in me before giving blood this past Sunday. Of course, it had been a crazy week with Hurricane Sandy wreaking havoc in the northeast. We were running around on this morning picking up much needed supplies and food for The Rockways Relief Drive so we could donate at the location in our hood. I had eaten nothing but a bowl of cereal that morning and now here it was almost 3pm and I was standing at the blood center waiting to give.
Well, this ended up turning into a four hour ordeal and I am glad that I dropped into this Vitamin Shoppe on the way. Picked up a few protein drinks here to take with me. Downed one on the way the doner center, and drank the other a few hours later while I was still waiting. Good thing, as four people passed out while giving blood! The reason — they had not eaten anything since early in the day.
Oh, this store? Pretty large, bright, and clean Vitamin Shoppe location. Always seems to have good sales on protein drinks and supplements. Lots of inventory to choose from. Staff knows a bit about the products, but don’t expect über knowledge. Know what you need going in.
