I had a terrible experience at this UPS location a few weeks ago, specifically with the manager. I want to emphasize that the other guy who was working that day was kind and helpful. This was Nov 30, exactly 10 calendar days after the delivery attempt on 11⁄20. The manager, however, who should be the one MOST concerned about providing excellent customer service was rude and dismissive. First off, just so you all know, when a package doesn’t get delivered to your home on the first attempt, you are automatically expected to go get it yourself. No 2nd attempts will be made. Second, I missed my first(and only) delivery attempt the week of Thanksgiving. So of course, since I work two jobs and went out of town for the holiday, I was unable to go get my package for over a week. This should’ve been common sense to everyone. Instead, the manager said I would be CHARGED A FEEFORSTORAGE because I didn’t go get the package within in 7 calendar days. Are you kidding me?!? They weren’t even OPEN for three of those days! Totally ridiculous if you ask me. 7BUSINESS days would be fair, but this was absurd. Oh and on top of that, they’re supposed to send your package back to the shipper after those 7 calendar days. When I went in and inquired, the manager said to me «oh, no sorry, you’re late to pick it up. It has been returned». I nodded and went to leave, and then the other employee actually pointed out that my package was sitting ATTHEMANAGERSFEET. It was literally right there, and this guy wasn’t going to tell me. And then he had the nerve to try and charge me that storage fee. Honestly, I should’ve just grabbed the package and walked out after that. Instead, I tried to reason with him, that I wasn’t aware of the policy for storage fees and going forward I would respect that policy. But the manager wouldn’t budge. He eventually lowered the fee, but at that point, I was sick of his attitude and felt disrespected as a customer and a person. He was SO condescending. I finally consented to the reduced fee at this franchise store when UPS Corporate(who I called and spent 20 mins on the phone with AT the store) agreed to cover the cost for me. I have spent years working in customer service and hospitality, and I have never encountered a worse employee than the manager here. If I could give zero stars, I would. Consumers beware of this location!
