Ordered a breakfast sandwich here for delivery. To begin, the sandwich didn’t taste all that great… it was too greasy and the eggs had an unpleasant texture. After eating about half, I felt something stringy in my mouth that stayed attached to the sandwich when I bit it. I looked down to see a very long hair baked into and hanging out from the egg. It was dark, so it should have been easy for the cook to see, had he or she been paying attention. Disgusting. I will never, never, never eat here again.

So I’ve only ordered delivery from Orange Peel, but I’m hooked… tasty sandwiches/wraps, healthy smoothies… reasonable prices and portions. Highly recommend the chicken club sandwich :)

Ok, so, this was take out; so I know that typically that’s not going to be as good as dining it. Sorry, but this food was dry, cheap, and made without love. I don’t know how they stay in business. And, to charge $ 15 for salmon that just comes over-cooked and basically naked… sad indeed.

First Off… A bagel and coffee should not cost $ 4.90. Especially when the quality isn’t on par with a Starbucks, etc… The butter was clumped on the bagel, not even melted… And I had to re-heat my coffee when I got into the office… The attendant had a bad attitude too… Not pleased and would NOT recommend!!!

Best delivery in the neighborhood, by far. High quality, good portion size, quick delivery. Excellent breakfast sandwiches!

My daughter and I stopped by this spot on our way to the park and ordered a quick bite — blueberry pancake and a blueberry-banana heaven smoothie. The blueberry-banana smoothie was definitely a hit with my little one! The blueberry pancake was OK. The order came with just 1 pancake but it was a pretty decent size. As another reviewer have said, it IS a TEENY tiny spot(1 counter and 2 chairs) BUT definitely a great addition to the neighborhood. I’d say it’s more of a take-out and delivery spot.

Food: Got a roast beef and a standard cheese burger. Both were pretty decent. I liked the roast beef more though. Experience: Very small shop, so very much an order and be on your way experience. I went on a Saturday evening and it was pretty much empty. Just me and the cashier. Value: It is a bit pricey for what they are serving. I am sure it has to do with their ingredient quality but the Orange Peel is worth trying for yourself.

Let’s keep this neighborhood gem in business! They have great delivery guys and are probably the best seamless option in the area. Wonderful prices for high quality healthy food. I recommend the orange peel sandwich and veggie beet soup which comes with croutons!

Simple, well-priced salad and sandwich shop in Harlem with healthy juices. This is definitely a place to grab-and-go breakfast or lunch.

Great place, super inexpensive but good food. Nothing fancy, it’s like food your mom would make you. Actually, I have no idea how they can afford to stay in business with $ 3 breakfasts and $ 7 minimum delivery. Not complaining though, this place is great. There are only 2 seats inside. It’s really a take-out/delivery place unless you’re going to eat on the run.

What used to be a great hamburger is a memory. I ordered the burger again and what arrived wasn’t the quality I had before. They must now use cheap frozen patties. Very disappointed.

Waited over 15 minutes for a burger at 4pm when there was only one other person there. Seemed like that person was waiting for a long time too. I was hoping for a quick and easy place to get food but this place isn’t it unfortunately.

This place was ok. Its a small storefront take-out type of place with delivery. I did a Unilocal search for places that make juices and ended up here. The service was slow; only one person was working, but the juice was pretty good. Looking at the menu there aren’t many vegan or veggie options, but the restaurant wasn’t marketed that way. It definitely looks like something the neighborhood could use, there aren’t too many options in that area. I probably won’t go back, but I was just riding through morning side that day.

I LOVE their exotic drinks(mmm ginger)! Extremely refreshing. The sandwiches were also very well-made. For this kind of price, the size was huge! I could never finish the whole thing. The chicken club was delicious. The eggplant sandwich came out a bit soggy(but, I’ve never had eggplant sandwich before, so not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be?), but you could tell they used fresh ingredients for everything. I’d definitely come back when I’m in the area again. The people are friendly. However, the space is small. I would come here for take-out and eat it in the park(or elsewhere).

Orange Peel makes a simple, good, clean, tasty breakfast at cheap prices. Breakfast sandwiches are satisfying and scrumptious! Bacon’s fried to the right level of crisp. Scrambled eggs are cooked so they’re still soft, not overdone. Real good quality cheese melted in just so. Ciabatta is crisp and fresh, great in a Grilled Swiss Cheese sandwich with apple slices. This place also makes fresh juice, so I had a grapefruit juice with kale and apple — healthy and delicious! Friendly, helpful service — the lady behind the counter very patiently helped me decide which 2 ingredients to add to my juice. Great, simple place to grab breakfast to go. They have 2 seats at the window for eating in. Thank you, Orange Peel, for starting my day off right!

My review is based on a delivery experience that I had last week. With delivery, people always have a certain amount of doubt as for the food quality. We have all had those terrible orders where food was just slopped in to a container, and sauce is all over the bag and they forgot one of our sides… but this place exceeded my expectations. I ordered a cheese burger and my roommate ordered a roast beef sandwich. Our orders were perfectly packaged, therefore neat and visually appealing. My burger was perfectly cooked and delicious, and the home fries that come with it? Wow… amazing! We loved our meals, the delivery time and the food being delivered well. Will order again for sure.

The food is good!!! I enjoyed the california wrap, just the right amount of avocado and meat. Used the Unilocal deal and had no problem redeeming it. Also had a free sample of muffins!!!

I wanted to like this place so badly. I really did. I live in the neighborhood, and I’ve been aching for a place on this side of Morningside Park with fresh, quality, inexpensive food. I don’t always feel like trekking from 125th Street over to Morningside Heights just to get a decent sandwich. I thought The Orange Peel might fit the bill, but alas… I was sorely mistaken. I tried this place twice: once for delivery, and once in person. The first time, I ordered the grilled chicken club sandwich. The woman on the phone was very slow in taking my order, and I had to repeat myself several times. When I asked how long the wait would be, she replied, «15 minutes.» Thirty minutes later, just as I was about to call the restaurant, I got a call from the delivery guy. It turned out that the restaurant sent him to my(non-existent) address on Morningside Drive instead of Morningside Avenue… even though I said«Morningside Avenue» several times when placing my order. Make that a grand total of 40 minutes for my «15 minute» sandwich. Strike one. Despite the delivery snafu, the food was good enough that I was willing to give them another shot. I picked up a $ 15 certificate for $ 10 here on Unilocal, and made my way over to the Orange Peel on my lunch hour(actually around dinner time, since I work second shift). Since I had $ 15 to burn, this time I ordered the herb baked chicken with rice and grilled vegetables, an iced tea, and two chocolate chip cookies. Once again, the woman behind the counter was very slow in taking my order. There was no communication at all: no apology for taking so long, and no estimate for how long I should expect to wait for my order. I ended up occupying one of the two IKEA chairs in the place for about 30 minutes before my order was ready. Strike two. I must point out that the menu describes the herb baked chicken as «marinated chicken pieces, gravy.» The use of the vague word«pieces» should have been a red flag, but I was hungry, so I wasn’t in the mood to ask questions. Little did I know that my hunger would be totally outmatched by what I saw next… because out came A WHOLECHICKEN. This chicken could have fed two, perhaps even three people. The woman even asked me if I wanted two sets of utensils. At this point, I only had 20 minutes in which to eat and make it back to work… so I didn’t bother to comment on the absurd amount of food I’d just been handed, or the fact that there was no gravy on the chicken. The woman gave me the total, and I showed her the certificate on the Unilocal app on my iPhone. There was obvious hesitation on her part… clearly she had never seen this before, but once again, no communication. She just silently reached for the phone and called the owner/manager, and asked him/her how to process a Unilocal deal. A lengthy phone conversation ensued, after which she proceeded to write down every single piece of information from the certificate(aside from the terms & conditions, thank God… otherwise I never would’ve eaten) and my phone number. Only at this point did the woman offer a perfunctory apology for not knowing how to process the Unilocal certificate. And as if things couldn’t get any worse, I took a few bites of the massive chicken only to find that it was lukewarm at best. Strike three. All I could think to myself after all this was that this must be the Apollo, because this was clearly amateur night.

I’ve lived in this neighborhood since 1998. You’d have thought before now that there would be a deli/breakfast spot with fresh quality food but until Orange Peel opened I was still stuck with Subway or the regular corner bodega. Don’t always want to have to sit down at Lido or Melbas for breakfast or a mid-day sandwich. Orange Peel has become a staple Saturday/Sunday breakfast place for me. The home fries are the bomb and the omlettes are excellent. They deliver as well but I choose to call it in, walk over and pick it up as they are half a block up the street. The owner and staff have always been super friendly every time I go. I hope the neighborhood supports this spot as I don’t want them to close. GREAT asset to the hood.
