PRETTYSURETHISPLACEHASCLOSEDDOWN! So i’ll keep it short, the bouncers were dicks. The female bartender serving us must have been going through major menopause since we were here on thanksgiving eve a few years back. The only good thing about this place was the hostess knew a friend of ours and we got hooked up. Other than that, there was a cover what a joke, the space wasn’t even that nice, a long narrow middle area which i guess was a dance floor as well and couches and tables along both sides, what am i walking through a fashion runway, GLADTHISPLACEISCLOSEDHOPEFULLYNOONETRIESTOREPLICATEIT

I came here for a friend’s birthday about a year ago and I remember the music being good, and the crowd was alright, there were about four different parties going on. The only problem was the biatch at the bar– she didn’t want to take my credit card and I didn’t have enough cash and she didn’t really make herself too clear regarding why she didn’t want to take my card. Anyway, the drink prices were a bit steep and not that strong but I danced my ass off all night anyway. UPDATE: I passed by here the other day and I’m pretty sure this place is CLOSED. Oh well.

Came here a while back for my friend’s bday, Got there early like 10−11pm. Music doesnt get good till later in the night like 11:30−12. I had fun there, lotsa drinks, drinks where pretty strong from what i remember. The crowd did turn out to be a tad bit ghetto but im fine with that. Just as long as there’s no drama. I was mostly dancing with the chicas all night while they were on the side staring so it was all good.

oh god where do i start. my friends say they’ve had a good time here but of course when I go it’s pretty shitty. And i’ll blame it on the crowd. It was super super ghetto, way too crowded and I think I definately needed to be drunk to actually enjoy it. I am surely not ever going to come back here. Don’t really like the set up and décor it’s just super wack

First off-Asshole bouncers. I heard some great things about this place and was looking forward to experiencing it first hand. But due to the asshole bouncers I didn’t even make it past the fake ass velvet rope even with«knowing somebody.» Advice for people waiting in line: 1) Don’t drink so much before getting to the club that you might, or might not, mouth off to the asshole bouncers.(yikes was I really that drunk?) 2). If you decide to step out of line to have a cig while your friend saves your spot make sure to not let the bouncers see you. They will get angry apparently. 3) If all else fails you can go around the corner to Plumm where you can dance all night long on a stripper pole, furniture infested dance floor or SPACIOUS and luxurious bathroom. It’s your night though, do with it what you please.

Chill, kickback environment for the first few hours I was there. Relaxed, sophisticated crowd and good, mellow music. As it got even more late into the night, the freaks came out and it was very crowded and the music changed which is not appealing to some but I’m able to work with it. I danced, danced, danced cuz that’s what I love to do. People are able to reserve areas and there is a full bar. Celebration was the theme of the night, I had a blast. Coatcheck was the worst but since I have no problem being aggressive I was out of there soon.

While the jewish party I hit here was full of girls that were hot enough to make me forget that I’m not into jewish girls, it still didnt change the fact that it was painfully packed. When I came back for the latino night here, all the PR and DR goodness also did not make me forget about the fact that it was painfully packed. I heard that most new NYC clubs these days were opened by former promoters. Have they not yet learned that people hate feeling like sardines? While I like how the downstairs looks and while I did have fun both times I went here, I cannot forget the fact that… it is always PAINFULLYPACKED. therefore, this cannot get more votes than what I have given it.

I personally think a night club is only fun if you know how to have a good time without help. I went last night and had a great time. I think this is one of the nicer looking clubs, kinda small, but if you get bottle service you get a nice size area to party with friends. They seem to be a little more selective at the door, and the bouncers are kinda mean. So make sure your ID is valid and you are looking your best or your on the list They also dont honor advertised door prices. They say reduced on list or before, and you get to the door and they say oh the manager decided to stop it earlier. I was like what the f@#$ but it was cool, the DJ made up for it. The music was mixed with hip hop, pop, rock, and reggae. The crowd was diverse which I prefer. I danced for four hrs straight! I also had a good time with the random people I met on the dance floor. The drinks are expensive but most spots in NYC have high drink prices, so no surprise there. If you dont like crowds, being pushed, or getting an occasional drink spilled on you, DONOTGOTOMANOR. Its too small and tight to avoid it, just come with a positive fun attitude and you will have fun.

The place is really nice when empty but once the party gets started get ready to push. There isn’t a dedicated dance floor so people dance where theres room. The DJ was terrible playing stuff my parents clubbed to when they went to Studio 54. One star for the open bar with strong drinks and one star for clean bathrooms.

I’ve been here about 4 times sporadically over the past 2 years. Always the same. Unpretentious crowd, great music, packed place. A little more«hood» than your average upscale club. Music: 5 Crowd: 3 Atmosphere: 4

For that I love to be hated on and overpay move. When you first walk up to manor you immediately recognize how average this place looks on the outside. You will most likely see the normal double sided velvet rope sections, one for VIP and one for everyone else. You wait in line for about 20 – 25 minutes, for the opportunity to pay $ 15 – 20 to get in and when you get in you realize just how good the photographer is for the website… The place is so ridiculously unglamorous it makes one wonder what the hype outside is all about. There are leather couches all around and a DJ booth showcasing the floor which is so crowded you cannot even think about dancing. The music is the new stuff from the radio, the drinks are strong, and overall the place disappoints. If you enjoy spending $ 15 on Redbull Vodkas then go here, if you enjoy being stuffed in like sardines then go here, if you enjoy cheap people who fancy themselves as high class then by all means go here! If you like to drink and be comfortable and witness real people from Manhattan enjoying a well deserved drink then do not go here.

Went here on a Saturday night for my friends Bday. Had a table that was right by the entrance. Which sucked because it gave girls that were threatened by us the opportunity to purposely bump into us. This is the first time in my many visits to N.Y. that I experienced the«rude» N.Y. behavior. The women that go here act desperate, territorial, and RUDE. There are some attractive«looking» people. but no one seems to have a personality. The 3 stars are for the cool décor and the fact that 2 of the owners were there and treated me and my friends very well.

I went here for a fashion show by the girlfriend’s friend. What is it about the weird snobby door… when there was about 10 people inside? Dude, I’m not 21 anymore and neither is my ho’, yo! This is the«I’m too lame to actually bring a chick out to a club, so me and my boyz is gon’ buy 3 bottles and pretend that we are big shots… and mommy will pay my Visa.» The party became superlame after the show ended so I had to find solace in amusing myself. I poured vodka down some girls’ throats. It wasn’t my bottle. I think I left here at 1AM or so. I don’t know man, this place was terrible. I think the only reason I am giving it two stars is because of the total amusement I had in watching the wack ass people pretend they were someone.

I went on a Sunday night for a Pre New Year’s Eve Bash. Place opened at 11. Got in 11:30. The bouncers and promoters were very nice and friendly. It depends on the night. I guess I got lucky that night. Didn’t pay cover since it was free for Ladies before 1AM. It was open bar till 12. Of course the drinks weren’t too strong :-(Oh well. It was free. Can’t complain. Plus, I found parking right around the corner… yippee!!! Coat check was $ 3. The place itself isn’t too big. Just cozy enough. There are two floors and one bar area. The bottom floor seems more of a loungin area for ppl that are bored or not having fun or maybe just waiting for someone in coat check or bathroom. Place gets too crowded by the dance floor since the space isn’t too big. The staircase is a very dangerous place to stand by. If ppl start pushing from the crowds… someone will definitely fall back :-(STAYAWAY from standing near the stairs!!! I usually just chill by the bar where there is room to dance and move around with the girls. The dance floor looks like an open feast for the guys to prey on… lol. Some ladies might like that… but I’m over it. Whatever floats your boat :-) I like the music a lot. I just wish the DJ played some songs a bit longer. If the place had a bit more room to dance… I’d give it another star. Would I go back? Maybe. I wouldn’t mind.

Came here for Jax’s lovely special event, me likey open bar and salsa. But really, the event was what made this place great, and definitely not the actual location. Music was good, but the staff was kinda bitchy, which makes me feel like it would be way way worse on a regular night.

3 stars for concept and décor. The door man was pretty cool, but the music wasn’t so great the one time I went. Thank God the group I was with made for a good time. Manor is a really spacious venue [almost too spacious as it was dead in there]. The drinks are in the range of $ 10. I have the sense that they’re going for a kind Marquee meets Lit scene but it’s not worth making your way ALL the way to the west side for – however if you do I recommend the front alcove near the bar. I went to Manor a few weeks ago with a few buddies of mine. We had no problem getting past the ropes with a friend not carrying ID. I would like to say the door policy is lax but then again, your mileage may vary depending on the mood of the bouncer. There is nothing too special about this place as it looks like any other generic club. I will have to admit though, the service at Manor was top notch as our carafes never once went empty the entire night. Our waitress even poured for us and tried to be conversational. Totally did not expect this. This was definitely a redeeming factor for the unimpressive atmosphere and crowd. Three solid stars for the top shelf service. With the shit shows being run today at most of the clubs nowadays, I am thoroughly impressed. Rachel R. — I partake in bottle service on my visits to Manor but no topless dancers materialized to my dismay. Please advise. Thank you.

I’ll admit clubs aren’t my thing, but I can still appreciate a good thing when I see it. The crowd was the typical cheesy, mid-20’s, club type. When we first came in, it was relatively early and the music was great; less known 80’s &90’s FUN music. Then when people started pouring in, they switched over to top 40 and corny hip-hop garbage. Not my thing. I split after finished my over priced, crappy cocktail, but not before I stood in the long coat check line.

I was at Manor last night for a Gen Art Party after the première of Gray’s Matters. About a week ago I had walked by en route to some other shindig and noticed the crowd outside seemed to be older — 30 – 35 than your typical bar… being that once again I wasn’t at the club for a regular night and it was a special event, I can’t really say much about the people that it attracts, but the venue itself is really not condusive to a large crowd and if it’s as crowded as it was last night, I would never go again. The bar is seperate from the rest of the club and the entrance is smack between them, so everyone is converging at the top of an awkward staircase… nice party for Gen Art, but the venue was just meh.

Ok I came to this place on a Saturday for a friend’s birthday party, first of all when we get to the door we hear the bouncer say: «reduced admission» when it should have be FREE. So the three of us were annoyed we had to pay $ 15 to step in the joint. We get inside, push down a few people and wait on an obscene line for the coat check and try to get drinks at the ridiculously crowded bar upstairs. Word to the wise-get you credit cards out because the bartender did not even want to look at us because we had cash. Once you had a drink you had to Push and shove your way through the crowd to find friends-meanwhile try to dance in this mosh pit of Long Island girls with bouffants and wannabe tough guys in hoodies. There were not even any«scene» good looking people. It was a disappointment and shame that a shit hole like this charges money to get in. NEVER returning.
