Only when I had sushi at Tokyo’s famous fish market at 5AM did I realize what a real sushi tastes likes. And only when I got a haircut at the Kinsman did I realize what a true men’s haircut should be like. The barber simply had a golden touch and I received higher than usual compliments and attention from the opposite sex. Other than the haircut, the place looks really cool and the service/​location are great as well.

I went in for the first time yesterday and NJ did a wonderful job. He is clearly a master at his craft, even explaining why he was cutting certain hairs a particular way at times. I will definitely be back soon for a shave. Also, his shop is nearing completion after some renovation, and it sounds like it’ll be incredible.

I was walking with my boyfriend in the neighborhood and saw this new barber shop that seemed really nice so I suggested he gets his hair done while I get my mani/​padi.
He checked out the prices and said they were higher than what he usually pays but I insisted because I believe in giving new places a chance. So… he allowed the only available barber in the shop to do his hair and looked like $ 1M at the end! He said the service was great too as they shaved the back of his neck with hot foam, trimmed his eye brows, and were nice and professional.

Although it was a 30-​minute simple haircut, NJ was so thorough and I can tell that he put a lot of effort into my hair. I am a first-​timer and I am convinced that I will come back again. NJ told me that the rest of the shop currently under construction will be open in the next couple months or so, definitely stoked to check it out.
I lived in NYC for almost 10 years, been to many barbershops both good & bad, NJ is by far the best one.
