kale salads are so good and great price for lunch!

I love smoothies. In fact, they made a delicious almond milk and butter based smoothie, Mr. Almond. However, I am against paying more than $ 8 for a smoothie. I was desperate but that’s just plain crazy. Your stuff looks great but I won’t be back.

Quaint, juice shop a few blocks from TOURO college. Mostly specializing in healthy foods. Salads here are awesome, as well as the different shakes. I like that they have small tastings in the front. The staff is nice and usually accommodate you if you want to tweak the juice recipe a bit. Peanut butter whey shake hits the spot after a good workout.

So this business closes at 10pm, I walk in at 9:34 to get my post workout smoothie which I love only from this place, and the girl who works there informs me that if I want anything from the bar to come earlier next time because they close it at 9:30, that the only thing I can grab are the cold pressed juices. Wtf!!! And I make sure to check the website and there is nothing on there that says that the juice bar closes a half hour earlier, so either the employees at this location are lazy or the people running this business suck at putting the correct information.

Friendly, helpful, clean. Yummy juices and an escape from all the bad fast food in midtown. There was a mistake with my order and they were gracious about fixing it. One thing tho– wish their vegan options were clearer.

Always expedient service here. Of course it’s a juice shop so it’s pretty pricey. If heading here I would suggest Purple rain which is blueberry raspberry, banana, strawberry, agave, & coconut water.

Pretty expensive juice/greens shop. Service was a bit slow and their square system always seems to be on the fritz. Smoothies range 7 bucks and above which is quite pricey where you can find other shops at a better rate. Had the pb and j smoothie. It was tasty but at that price wasn’t worth it. The salads here weren’t to scream home at either. Had the greek kale salad which was mostly kale and hardly any olives, cucumbers, or feta cheese. For a salad like that it was quite expensive. The chicken apple curry salad was lackluster as well and didn’t really have that curry flavor pop. The establishment also could go for a bit of organization and tidying up. Behind the counter it looked quite hectic and messy. Couldn’t really enjoy my smootie or salad knowing what i saw in the cleanliness of the shop. Also found a long hair in the take out plastic forks bin. Yuck. Won’t be back.

I like smoothies, very much. I like them enough to know not all smoothies are created equally. Different shops=different concoctions, different employees=different variances to the recipe, you get my drift, so I always ask questions. I never want to commit to an $ 8-$ 12 smoothie that I don’t like. I like when an employee can recommend something they’ve actually tried. Note to employers: allow/insist your employees actually try the stuff they are ringing up daily. Anyway, I told the cashier what I wanted, what tastes I like and she recommended the Dr. Feel Good even allowing me to taste a bit of hers that she just ordered for herself. I like that!!! When the employee knows their stuff it’s a plus for me On to the actual smoothie, it was good! Kale, Parsley, Apple, pineapple and spinach(I may have added or forgotten some ingredients). It did leave a bit of an after taste but I was able to drink it and enjoy it, so no complaints. I would get it again.

I loved this shop! Being wheat and dairy free can be difficult when eating out but stores like this make my life easy! I had a green curry kale quinoa bowl and I like you can choose the base as brown rice or quinoa, as well as choose your protein(chicken, tofu, salmon, etc). It was delicious and the portion size perfectly filled me up. I also tried a taste of the smoothie PB&CG(chia gel!!) and it was good too. They have cute little samples around the store and having the juice samples served in small lidded containers is a novel idea if never seen before. I would love to try their other offerings!

The people who work here work super hard! I am always surprised at how they do not lose their cool and they often seem to be having fun! Yes maybe it is hectic and sometimes there is a long wait, but that is because they have a giant menu with so many ingredients and all the ingredients are fresh and processed right on the spot. The customers at this location are annoying. Today my food took 2 minutes and when I got back to my office it was still hot. It was crowded in there too. The smoothie had no chunks, and is delicious. Yes I have had to wait before and I have been forgotten. I was maybe even peeved. But whatever!

One of the better juice bars I’ve been to. Loved that they had a coffee-like version. Ended up trying their free samples, which is great especially if you have no idea if you will like a given flavor. Cost me $ 7 for a bottle, expensive but pretty standard for places like these.

This place is the Courtney Love of juicing. By that I mean, it’s a hot fu$@/&% MESS. I am writing this review while I’m waiting for my smoothie. It’s been 15 minutes. It’s not that busy and the three employees that are«working» are moving at snails pace. Quite a few people that ordered after me have come and gone. I told the girl working the register that I’d been waiting awhile and the guy making the smoothies argued and said he had already made mine and it would be another 5 minutes. IFYOUMADEMYORDER, WHYAM I STILLSTANDINGHEREEMPTY-HANDED, DUMBDUMB?! A few minutes later I finally got my smoothie, no apology, nothing. Horrible service, even by New York standards. I ordered the Dr. Feel Good. It was fine but not any better than Juice Generation(where they’re quick and know how to smile.) Needless to say, I will not be back.

Food is not labeled properly, employees are clueless/obviously untrained and dont give a crap. I gave up on smoothies here a while ago because they took forever and were never made right, but kept coming for rhe pressed juice thats premade. The last time, i wanted to try a pre packed salad and asked if there was vinegar in it. There were many employees behind the counter, one was having a loud conversation on his cell, another couple were joking around and it took me a while to get anyones attention to pay despite me being literally the only customer there. I was told for sure there was no vinegar in the salad. I told him it made me very sick and i cannot eat it, and was reassured no vinegar. Got home, salad is loaded with vinegar. There goes my dinner and $ 11 down the drain. I went back a couple days later, told them. No one cared. I asked for a manager, there was not one there and no one knew when a manger would be there. I asked for a refund, they told me they couldnt give me one. Again like 6 employees there, no one had a clue and no one cared. Messed up. Im not allergic to vinegar but it makes me violently throw up after ive eaten it. If a food store has this little regard for customers, it can be dangerous. Go to Juice Press. A world of difference, and actual integrity.

Soooo slow sooooo crowded and sooooo unorganized during lunch hour. I was not pleased. Came in thinking it would be 5 minute stop at the most for them to make a smoothie, and 20 minutes later my smoothie came out… I could have gone to a sit down restaurant in that amount of time! They were so disorganized and at points I had to ask them if they were making my smoothie since I assumed they never even put in the order and/or just forgot about it. I got the PJ&CJ smoothie($ 9) and it was not good. I’ve had my share of peanut butter, banana, and strawberry smoothies and this was the worst out of all. Go to liquiteria or the café in Equinox or bed bath and beyond.

Second time here and today it was crowded. The staff are supernice and serviceminded. I had a smoothie, kale cleanser, loaded with greens and tasted really yummy. Can’t get enough. Also had a salad with avocado and chicken. Would have loved if it was a little more flavors. But overall a great pick if you want to eat healthy.

The kale bowls and acai bowls freaking delicious but SOSLOW. The workers here are awful and not very smart or helpful. I waited 30 minutes for an acai bowl yesterday in the store(not delivery!!). When I asked after 18 minutes why I hadn’t received my order yet, they said they gave it to someone else who asked for it. Why do they ask for my name if they’re just going to give my order to someone else? The smothies and juices aren’t as good as those from Juice Press. I will continue to come back because the kale bowls and acai bowls are so good, but I don’t know how much longer i’ll be able to tolerate the long wait times.

I love smoothies and often find myself spending way too much money on a post work-out smoothie. A high price I quickly forget once the smoothie quenches my thirst! But honestly, the Juice shop charges way too much for their smoothie that really didn’t have any distinct or unusually amazing flavors. A typical berry smoothie and almost $ 10. That’s just ridiculous. Even in Manhattan. For some reason they tend to include sea salt in their smoothies so I opted for sans-salt variation but it was an average smoothie I was paying high end prices for. The place also looked disorganized, slightly dirty, and took way too long considering only me and another person were waiting for smoothies. This place has a lot to learn about the smoothie making(and pricing) business. Won’t be rushing back here for a smoothie anytime soon. Sorry!

I discovered this place while checking out the area around my hotel. On my first visit I only ordered the Watermelon Wonder, which I really enjoyed. It is only pure watermelon juice but it was refreshing and hit the spot. I thought the price was in-line with other juice bars I have visited. After looking over the menu I knew I would have to come back the next day to try something else off the menu. So after a spin class on Monday morning I stopped in again. I again ordered the Watermelon Wonder and decided to try the PB&C Acai bowl. Both did not disappoint. The watermelon wonder again was refreshing and great after spin class. I really enjoyed the Acai bowl and thought all of the ingredients were fresh unlike some of the other reviews. I wish I had found this place earlier during my long weekend in the city, I probably would have stopped here everyday!

I’ve been curious about this place for a while so finally decided to try it. I got the Baja Verde kale bowl but had to customize it a bit since I didn’t want quinoa or rice as a base. They offered to give me extra kale which was nice and didn’t charge extra for it. The toppings were good but very disproportionate compared to the huge bowl of kale. Note: if you’re not getting quinoa or rice, do NOT get extra kale. I’m guessing however much kale it originally comes with is more than enough because with the extra it was probably about 3 cups! Way too much. The bowls are very deep so they can hold quite a bit. That being said, it was extremely filling and took me about an hour to eat, haha! There isn’t a lot of seating during the lunchtime rush(plus it’s a small space) so either go outside of that time or take it to go. Staff is friendly and their smoothies/juices look good but I’ll have to try that some other time. Overall, it’s a good healthy option in the area but wasn’t the best I ever had. I’ll most likely come back to try more stuff to see if it can change my opinion.

For some reason, I was compelled to get a green juice one day after the gym. This never happens. I became one of those girls in Lululemon(why yes, I do lift, bro) with a green juice in hand. Le sigh. After being indecisive and the staff being nice enough to alter my order even though they’d already started making it(yes, I feel bad), I went with the Kale Cleanser — kale, apple, fennel, parsley, green grapes, mint, lemon, agave. The total came out to almost $ 10 — more than a freaking meal! I decided that the drink was quite thick and chock full of ingredients, but it still didn’t make me feel like I got my money’s worth, as with most smoothie/juice places. The drink was a little on the too-sour side and the mint and parsley was extremely overpowering. It did leave me full for quite a while though, so perhaps this could be a meal replacement for people who don’t like to eat real food :)
