This Vietnamese restaurant has stayed consistent since the first time I tried it. The food is fresh, I had summer rolls with grilled shrimps and plum sauce which was good, the phở was excellent and the phish was good too. Our server was very nice and helpful.

The Hummus & Pita Co is trying to get into the smoothie business. I was excited because their food is pretty good, and they are open late. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend their smoothies at all. They advertise«supercharged smoothies» with spirulina, kale, spinach, etc, and charge $ 9. At that price point and with those ingredients, I was expecting Liquiteria, Juice Shop, Blossom, etc. standards. Instead, I got a frozen daiquiri. I watched the staffer make my smoothie and it was nothing but four handfuls of frozen fruit, TWO spinach leaves, ONEKALELEAF, and to the blender. If I had wanted a fruit smoothie, I would have ordered a fruit smoothie. I asked the staff member if he could add more vegetables, and I got a clueless look and a shrug. This was after I had to spend 5 minutes — after having already paid, or I would have walked — to track someone down to make the smoothie. At this price point, I expect better service, and a MUCH better product. Two stars only because the falafel’s decent. Stick to what you know, guys, and I hope this review saves someone else $ 9.

Tasty, fresh wheat pita & non-greasy falafel. Regular hummus had a nice texture. Portions were good. Fillings were yummy… I got the grilled eggplant! Service was quick and friendly, one dude even cracked me up. Cashier asked if I wanted a water cup. Restaurant itself is spacious and clean. Will def come back.

One of my favorite fast food go to places. I love how they have outdoor seatings and that they don’t mind dogs in their restaurant. One of the employees even got excited when they saw my small Maltese in a purse. Customer service is always great here. I always order the sharwama chicken pita with an overload of hummus and sides. It’s surprisingly tasty for the price. The fries are always fresh and hot. They always have new samples for you to try by checkout. It’s a good place for cheap and delicious Mediterranean fast food.

They do have vegan options available and the food was pretty good. My mom is a tough vegan to impress and she was happy with the service. This review is not about the food but about the service of one particular worker. I didn’t get his name but he was there on Sunday afternoon. I did not get his name but he was able to answer all of my mother’s questions. Not only is she a vegan but she doesn’t eat anything with oil and he was able to provide ingredients the food was made of and did it with patience and a smile. But here’s the best part, when it was time to purchase, he asked us do to him a favor, when thought it would have been a employee survey which we wou5be happy to do but he said«just enjoy». I though he said that to just us but I over heard him saying it to customers after us. This review is really for him. So thank you!

Day 2 of Mealpass took me to Hummus & Pita Co. for the chicken shawarma. So delicious, so filling! It was filled with chicken, veggies, cous cous and hummus, and came with a side of tzatziki(although they forgot the sauce when they prepped my co-worker’s order the following week, so double check your bag.) I actually had to toss the last few bites because I was getting overfull. Would order it again on a super hungry day.

This is for those who enjoy fast casual restaunts and mediterranean food. This place does it very well, with fresh and tasty food, and a very affordable price point. Really enjoyed the falafel and all the different fixings you can get with it. Will definitely come back, especially with a casual group.

Don’t let the line deter you from getting some of the better food around the area. Imagine Chipotle with a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern flair and you’ll get a delicious meal for less than $ 12. Yeah, less than what you paid for that fancy thermos you got at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. It will not last as long as the thermos but at least you can say what you purchased here is far more tasty!

I love hummus. All kinds — store-bought, homemade — you name it. I ordered a falafel bowl with hummus, grilled veggies, brown rice, cabbages and olives. I wasn’t aware that there was a choice of pita on the side. I also didn’t really read the menu because I was starving all day and was just too excited to eat. The falafels were delicious and not as dense as the last time I came here, when I ordered it on a pita. The bowl is huge and I’m not complaining. If I weren’t so hungry at that time, I would’ve saved it for the next day. It was very filling and I left the place ultimately satisfied. I’d definitely recommend the falafel. However, I want to go back and try everything else on the menu.

I wonder if anyone ever goes here just to get drunk. I mean $ 5 a beer is much better than many of the bars in the area, right? But I digress. This place is the mediterranean style Chipotle. I had the falafel in a pita. It was to die for. But literally, I almost choked on a big falafel ball. My only complaint is that the workers don’t seem to love working there. I don’t really blame them, but still. I’ll go here again.

First I went there with my friend for a quick meal. Their combo meals are cheap, greasy and giant. I wish their food wasn’t that greasy. Their upstairs dining area is great and quite place to eat lunch. After my good experience, I went there second time with my mom. When I was at upstairs, she went downstairs to use their bathroom. Later she told me one female staff was laughing at her because she didn’t realize the bathroom door has a password. My mom is an old foreigner woman. She can’t speak English well. It was really rude of them to make fun of her instead of helping. I am very disappointed.

Love their puffy pitas and selections of fillings. Plates always in good portion as well. Tried jalapeño hummus today, moderate spicy and yummy!

I’ve seen people maybe representing this place as a middle eastern chipotle… I’m reviewing to say that is definately not the cas. The place is great. I’ve eaten at some authentic middle eastern restaurants and I’ll go on the record saying that some of these falafel trucks/stands have some of the best food you’ve eaten but. This place is good! You will have your food fast at good prices. I ordered the falafel plate with cous-cous, Israeli salad, hummus, and(can’t remember sorry). They also gave(to come with) the choice of wheat or white pita. Also. with this I had the choice of 3 extras such as onions, tomato, corn, etc. As well as sauces. The price for all was like 8 bucks. Well worth it!

Not too shabby! Came here for a quick lunch while I was in the area for a workshop. Ordered a chicken bowl(the bowl comes with 2 sides whereas the plate comes with 3). The chicken itself was just okay. It was actually kind of dry but their yogurt sauce swooped in the save the day! The grilled veggie side and beet salad were pretty good too. Didn’t try, but heard from a colleague that the eggplant was bomb as well. They offer two types of pita — white and whole wheat if you’re in the middle of working for a summer body. Try to come in just before lunch to beat the rush, otherwise the line can get pretty long.

Just here for the free baklava. Haha, kidding. Lately, I’ve been on a Mediterranean kick and Hummus and Pita Co. has been my go-to for a relatively cheap, quick meal. Touted as the Chipotle of Mediterranean food, Hummus and Pita Co has the big steel front table and a fairly overwhelming menu. The space is actually pretty huge here, though I’ve never actually stopped to eat at one of the many bar tables. My usual go-to is the shwarma plate or bowl, with Israeli cous-cous and Israeli salad, and I tell them to heap the hummus on a little bit more. Their hummus tends to be heavier on the tahini than on the chickpea side, which I really like. After that, you can ask for any toppings you’d like, with a choice of a sauce, my go-to being chimichurri or the tzatziki. It can be overwhelming with so many choices, as I mentioned, but the staff is usually pretty patient, even during the busy lunch hour. The people behind the counter are always pretty friendly and good with acquiescing to my small requests like extra veggies or just a bit more baba ganoush, and the prices, while a bit more expensive than most fast Mediterranean joints, are still reasonable. Yes, you will pay a little more than a food cart, but I feel like you also get a little bit more as well, so the value is actually there. I still think Taim has slightly better quality, but given the proximity of H&P Co. to my apartment, I’m more inclined to pick something up from the latter after a long day’s work. These days, I usually just pick up a small or medium hummus and just go to town with some whole wheat pita.

So ~like~ The Hummus & Pita Co is as good as it gets, app and all! My friend and I dropped by for lunch on our way to Trader Joe’s, and it hit the spot! The falafel, well-seasoned and hot, didn’t disappoint, and the hummus and topping selections only added to its appeal. As toppings I selected the tabouli and the raw onions, cucumber, and hot sauce, as well as the garlic dill dressing. And the bread was among the best I have had. The layout of the restaurant, open and bright, made the experience all the more enjoyable. I wish there were The Hummus & Pita Co near my workplace!

A great place to get a balanced and delicious lunch or quick dinner. Mediterranean bowls are probably my favorite thing to eat after working out. Which is why I’m so happy I found a NYC chain that I can get behind! Menu is simple– get falafel, chicken schwarma or gyro and drop a big scoop of hummus and then a bunch of veggies and toppings. If you want something heavy and substantial, you can get starches like rice, couscous or fried sweet potato fries. Or you can just load up on veggies. I got a falafel bowl with hummus, beet salad and quinoa salad. I topped it off with tahini, garlic paste, cucumbers, sumac seasoned onions, olives, purple cabbage and chose the wheat pita on the side. Whole thing was about $ 8. The falafel is good. Not too oily but crunchy. Well seasoned but not too salty. The ground chickpeas were still a little chunky which I liked. The pita bread was good, it was puffy and billowy. A lot different from the usual thin and dry type of pita bread I ideally get. It was good and did great job sopping up hummus and sauces. I just wish it was warmed up more when they gave it to me. I also wish the platters were just a dollar cheaper. Or at that price, I think they should let you choose three fillings rather than one. Chelsea has a lot of great fitness studios so I look forward to eating here again after my next workout! Oh the staff I encountered were friendly and kept the place clean and comfortable. So kudos, guys!

Solid bet for lunch or dinner. I had the gyro platter which was super delicious(and more than enough food). The hummus is good and the pita is nicely soft and fluffy. Plenty of indoor seating as well as sidewalk tables. The only thing that detracted was the crazy hobo yelling at passerby a few doors down, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. I did dock them a star because they could stand to be a bit cheaper — while a ton of food, the aforementioned gyro platter and a drink was nearly $ 15!

The name’s a little too cheesy but the food definitely not, no cheese were involved jk! Seriously though, I didn’t know what to expect when walking into this place, was exploring the city a bit and got really hungry and happened to see this right in front of me also since I ate too much for lunch, I decided to go for something«light», yes that’s my kind of light food. The Hummus & Pita Co is located on 6th ave between W 16th and W 17th street. Parking: Can’t tell you too much about it since I took public transportation that day but as new yorkers, we know driving in the city is no fun and neither is finding parking! If you are taking the public transportation, it’s a block off the F, M train station. Décor and Ambiance: Wait, did I just walked into Chipotle? why does all the tables, bar stools, lighting and station setup looked exactly like it? hm… interesting! but whatever it is, it is not a bad thing, the place is bright, clean and spacious. As for the décor– just imagine how Chipotle looks and it is exactly that! The restaurant itself is big, in the front you got the high tables with bar stools and in the back you have the regular picnic tables. Estimate to accommodate at least 50+ people. Restaurant is cafeteria style aka think CHIPOTLE! Just make sure you don’t get on the line until you figure out what you are having, I usually panic when I have to make these choices on the fly! So to prevent you from getting these panic attacks, I’ll give you a play by play: 1. You first choose a protein(Falafel, Vegetarian, Gyro, Chicken, Shawarma(also chicken) or steak) 2. You then have the option of making it a Combo +$ 3.95– get soda and fries or soup 3. Choose your carbs(Pita= 1 «Fill it»(we’ll talk about what is «Fill it» later), Laffa= 1 Fill it, Bowl= 2 Fill it, and Platter= 3 Fill it) 4. Choose Your«Fill it» according to carbs– These are basically your sides, like Boston Market, it ranges from brown rice, salad to Baba Ganoosh) 5. Choose your Top it– you know Chipotle style– lettuce, tomato and etc. 6. Sauce If you survive that, you’ll be rewarded with a wonderful Middle Eastern/Mediterranean meal. BTWNOREFILLONFOUNTAINDRINKS!!! I had the Gyro with whole wheat pita, hummus, baba ganoosh and Tzatziki sauce– The gyro was okay, definitely no Halal Guys, the flavor was there but the texture of the meat was strange, it was a bit tough on the outside and mushy on the inside. BUT the hummus and baba ganoosh were ONPOINT! flavorful and light, it was a perfect compliment to the pita bread(btw the whole wheat pita is not the round pita bread we usually have, it looked more like a hamburger bun than anything else). Definitely get the hummus and baba ganoosh and Tzatziki! The wife got the Chicken w/whole wheat pita, hummus, baba ganoosh and Tzatziki(what a copy cat!) — however, the chicken was MUCH better than my gyro, so I guess she got better taste than me. Chicken was all white meat, slightly grilled, flavorful, soft and juicy! it was just delicious! She got a combo so her meal came with sweet potato fries that are right off the fryer… golden brown, crunchy and soft center– what’s not to love about that? Service: Excellent! Everyone at the stations were very patience in explaining what and how the whole thing worked to us. they even told us to grab a seat and they’ll deliver the fries to us since it wasn’t ready when we were there! Price: Average: Expect to pay around $ 10 – 12 for a combo, I guess that’s like average price for a city meal. Overall: I enjoyed my experience at The Hummus & Pita Co. even though they really challenged my decision making skills. Their food are a little above average, especially the hummus and Baba Ganoosh! The restaurant is clean, spacious and their service is great! I will definitely venture back to this place and try out their Shawarma and Falafels!
