The First Baptist Church In the City of New York

I’ve visited this church 5 – 6 times throughout the years… I love and am humbled that the people of this church are Christ and Bible centered. My aunt attends this church so I’m not here as a member but as a visitor for the most part.
The worship music leans on classical music and traditional hymns. I really admire that they keep to this because there is depth in the lyrics of hymns. The building is old but has a lot of beauty and they have a pipe organ for the music.
You won’t feel judged here as all the members are friendly.
The sermons are well grounded in scripture.
There is a wonderful lady who is 94 years old but looks so lovely. She says her secret to looking beautiful is that «Christ is her Savior»
In NYC where the world seems upside-​down, First Baptist keeps their eyes on Christ.

When traveling as a child my family would to seek out the First Baptist Church in every town we traveled through. After I’d been in New York a few years, this is what I did here! I have not regretted it for the last 22 years :-) what a great blessing to see the church congregation now growing under our new pastor the anointed and blessed Matthew Hoskinson! Like a Redeemer for Baptists! Meeting and making new friends all the time, and witnessing throughout the world through amazing missionary outreach programs. I could not be more blessed! Lord, thank you!
