We had the flatbread, the guacamole, and the angus burger during a late lunch on Sunday. None of it was special in any way. The interior is nicely designed and the environment is lively without being loud. Overall, this place is average for the area.

I came here on a warm Tuesday evening around 7pm. What struck me first was the large windows on either side of the restaurant had been pulled back and it made the atmosphere extremely open, comfortable and airy. What struck me second was the décor. It was modern yet extremely cozy with great soft lighting(but not so dark you squint yourself into a headache). What struck me third was the food. I ordered a cocktail called an apricot fizz, light and not terribly sweet made with a delicious prosecco. My handsome date and I decided to share 4 small plates and it was the perfect amount of food. They arrived stylishly on a plate tower and I am somewhat short, so eventually I had to move the topmost plate down to the table because I couldn’t see what I was grabbing at but it was fine. The food was excellent, we devoured everything. The tuna tartare had a great taste and texture. I also loved the rice balls! And the guacamole had great sized chunks of avocado and tasted spectacularly. I thought all guacamole was the same until I ate at T Bar Soho. Would definitely go back. Yum!

My friend made Sunday Brunch reservation today and it was practically emptied when we arrived there. Since there were plenty of tables, we sat down at a corner booth and it was very comfy seats. Mmmmmmmmm I love their bread basket w/olive oil and my friend ordered a bottle of Sparkling Water. Brunch: My friend got the Shaka-Shuka & Poached Eggs(very spicy but delicious) and I ordered a well done Colorado Lamb Burger(very juicy and delicious) The food was definitely delicious and can’t wait to come back to try the dinner menu.

I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews for TBar SoHo yet! Went here tonight for drinks and small bites with my cousin, and the experience was enjoyable. We started with some margaritas — I had the Smokey Paloma. They were actually out of the sombra tequila, so I guess it was more like a plain old margarita with grapefruit, but it was tasty and well-mixed. The bread basket was one of the best I’ve had in the city. A silly thing to hinge a review on, but oh man. Comes out warm and the bread is super light and fluffy with a crispy crust, and very salty(which I like). It was so good that there was no need to dip in the olive oil. We opted to share some small plates and the kale salad. The salad consisted of apple, carrots and sesame, tossed in a chili-lime vinaigrette. It was a delicious, refreshing take on kale. No cranberries or goat cheese here! For plates we ordered the calimari(crispy, well seasoned), beet salad with feta(perfect), and salmon cevechi(refreshing, with a little kick). We finished with the banana parfait(with a candle in it for my never-ending birthday), which is just as good as everyone says it is. I work in the neighborhood, and TBar SoHo has a high likelihood to become a go-to for after-work drinks and snacks.

I came here right before the holidays with some friends for brunch. It was a random day in the 50s, so all of the doors and windows were open — an unexpected treat in December. The bottom line is that the foodstuff here was on point. The eggs benedict were well seasoned, and not overloaded with hollandaise as with some establishments. Everyone else’s food that I stole was quite nice. Cocktails were all very interesting. That being said, the overall experience was a bit closer to three stars. The place felt VERY scene-y, a strange feeling since it didn’t get busy until halfway through our meal. Considering the prices(i.e. $ 16 eggs benedict), I would expect a certain level of sophistication in the food that wasn’t quite there, despite it being very good. Not that this is a rarity, but it felt like a few dollars in each item were for the neighborhood. Actually, I forgot about the bread. The bread was some of the best bread I have had at a NYC restaurant. TBar gets a well-deserved four stars, one for each piece of bread I ate.

If you are around and want a burst of flavors and good atmosphere you should definitely visit this place. Good cocktails, good food especially their small plate tuna tartar at the bar. New bartender is extremely friendly and can fulfill any of your desires.

LOVE this place. The food was amazing! I never hang out in this area of Soho, but I am definitely going to be back here for sure! I am never one to choose fish for dinner when I am out. I usually play it safe and pick the generic steak or chicken, but I tried something different and had the Chilean Sea Bass and I am OBSESSED! Not only did it taste so well, I dreamt about having it again and again. It was THAT good! The tuna tartar, meat dumplings, and the grilled octopus were all really good! My friend and I also really loved the desserts too! The Chocolate Mousse and Strawberry Shortcake Sundae were so yummy! We came on empty stomachs and definitely left with full ones!

I recently had dinner here on a Friday night. This new addition to Soho is cute, dimly and a great place to have drinks catching up with friends. We sat in the bar area near the sole television to catch the UCLA game. Service was solid and the drinks were mixed well. I ordered the guacamole to start and while good I don’t think I’ve seen a smaller serving. The amount of chips given with it were a joke. For an entrée, I ordered the chicken. It was good with all the floors combining well. While I enjoyed my food, this just seems more of a drinking destination to me. It certainly wasn’t enough to have me running back for dinner. I’ll be back for drinks though.

After hearing a fantastic recommendation, I hopped into TBar for dinner with 3 friends a couple of weeks ago and it was, start to finish, first drink to last bite, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in NY. We started off at the bar and I ordered a cucumber margarita that was so crisp, refreshing and delicious that I asked for it twice more throughout the course of the evening, sometimes before the previous version had concluded. The bartender, friendly and quick, knows what she’s doing. We were seated at our cozy, candlelit table and kicked things off with the guacamole(so fresh/zesty — worth getting two orders for a party of four), calamari(perfection — crispy outside, tender inside) and the kale salad(the bitterness of the kale met the zing of the chili-lime vinaigrette to the most satisfying effect). The starters were gone in a flash and were so good we couldn’t wait for the main course. One of us ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which she so enjoyed — light yet filling, fresh and seasoned expertly. The rest of us split the 32 oz. rib eye, which almost knocked me out of my seat. It melted in our mouths — so juicy, buttery, exactly the right temperature. Truly outstanding. I’ve had some unremarkable cuts of beef in my day, but this was one of a kind. To top it all off we ordered the banana parfait and a chocolate sundae — both were illegally indulgent and satisfying. A must. We were frankly astounded by how good it was, having never tried the UES location; trying a new place can sometimes be the last thing you want to do, but do yourself a favor and stroll in and sit down at TBar. Chill vibe, personable and efficient staff, absolutely incredible food — I promise you won’t be disappointed!

How can you not love this place, it just opened a few weeks ago and I keep going back. In fact, I’ve been there two nights in a row now. I walked in Friday night after a friend kept encouraging me to try this place, she adores tbar uptown and was so excited to try it down in my hood, so we went together and I fell in love. It’s a chill vibe, great wine selection and fantastic food. The tuna tartar literally melts in your mouth and the steak was so tender and flavorful. The dishes are beautifully prepared and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. This was truly an evening which reminded me why I love New York so much. I give this place an easy and well deserved five.

This is the new downtown off-shoot of the long-open UES neighborhood restaurant. The food here is just as mouth wateringly delicious as the uptown menu, and the whole place benefits from a much hipper décor and vibe. I had the tuna tartar, which(and I’m not one to use hyperbole) was the best I’ve had — fresh, flavorful, and slightly spicy. My pal and I then shared the ribeye for two — buttery, smooth, and cooked to perfection. So nice to see a true medium rare! The steak came with a choice of two sides. We went with fries(crispy and thin, yum!) and creamed spinach(duh, a steak standard, and well-executed here). We finished with the banana parfait, which I’d had before uptown. Y’all, this is the way desserts should always be. My pal and I were scraping the edge of the bowl with our spoons for far longer than is acceptable in public. Delicious! Saw a lot of fun cocktails on the menu, but didn’t indulge this round. Will def in the future. They sound unique. There’s some sort of smokey tequila thing that I’m looking forward to trying. Overall this joint has a great, chill vibe; friendly, attractive staff; mixed artsy crowd of folks aged 20something to 50something. And that dessert… y’all! Haha, see ya there!
