Really lackluster chia bowl from a spot where I’m not sure why they ventured out into that territory, nor why I took the bait.

The avocado and asparagus open sandwich were good! The atmosphere is nice(sometimes a bit loud) and it’s good that you can walk around and see other stores.

Can you, please, be consistent with your juice recipes? I had a wonderful ginger juice that had a really nice kick to it last week and the 2nd one I got was more apple and less ginger.

I thought $ 8+tax for a chia bowl was a little outrageous, but decided to try it anyways because it was the only healthy breakfast option I saw. Sure glad I tried it. Chia Bowl — Topped with bananas, berries, and flax seed. Tasted floral like a combination of honey and lavender. You absolutely have to try this! Service — There was no line in the morning, and so I walked right up to the cash register. I made contact with one of the workers, but he just walked by. Another lady looked my way and resumed what she was doing, which was just standing there. A third guy finally came up to take my order a few moments later, but it would have been nice for the first guy to say, «we’ll be right with you.» Please learn the basics of customer service. For the service, this place loses a star.

Was a great little atmosphere to have a glass of wine and their cheese platter. the staff were very friendly, this is like an after work kind of place to sit down and talk to a friend or co worker. There are no actual tables to formally sit and eat its more of the style where you eat at the countertop or the high tables with high stools. its super chill and i would come back again

This is a nice spot at the Plaza Hotel food court where there are plenty of options for gourmet food and pastries, in general expect good but pricey, you are eating at the Plaza so it cannot be treated like any other food court. Prices shoud be high same as expectations. Tartinery is nice, they have limited spots to sit at the bar and if you get two of those you are set for a very nice casual lunch/hours d’ oeuvres/dinning experience at a chic but casual French spot surrounded by other nice places. Great for a glass or a bottle of wine with good company. Tried the Cremini Mushroom & Truffle Toast with pecorino cheese & chopped spinach wich is served warm on top of the toast, firm but still creamy. and the Smashed Avocado Toast with radish, red pepper flakes & coriander which is served cold on the toast. Refreshing with good hot spicy hints from the red pepper. All together with some glasses of nice 2013MALBEC — Aguaribay, Mendoza.

First of all… The Croque Monsieur was AMAZING… and I lived in Paris for two years, and… what you think I’m going to say… THISONEWASBETTER!(ok Different!) but SUPERB… none of the food was half as good as the staff… not only our VERY social and engaging waitress, but the cooks, co-workers dropping in to visit, other staff… were all GENUINE and friendly. The wine selection was REASONABLE price wise, and had great selections. All in all, a great place for Happy Hour… or for NO reason at all to just enjoy above average food and great company… even if you go alone! Try it

I really want to give this place 5 stars but they just don’t have it operationally together. The toasts(avocado and mushroom) were both good but a little overpriced for one piece per order. It’s just toast. The winter bowl was great. It’s in the middle of the food hall and it’s not really set up to serve people seated at their bar but they do. It ends up awkward and we saw no less than 5 unhappy people because they were confused or the employees were rude. We kind of just watched and were entertained because you could see the issues coming before they happened. Anyway, love the food hall but would get this and sit elsewhere next time.

The Tartinery serves excellent open faced sandwiches. My favorite is their avocado and asparagus Tartin topped with a poached egg. Second favorite is the Croque Madame. They have seasonal selections as well. So check in every now and again. During the summer, they have a delectable lobster roll.

3.5+ stars! Nice little surprise for me as I don’t expect much w cappuccinos at most places, and it was yummy here. Tartines(esp sourdough) — more like an open-faced sandwiche – were yummy w good quality ingredients. Service was great.

Anna was a superb chef. So kind and welcoming. I had the green monster and it was delicious. Anna added some ginger for me for an extra kick. I wanted to try the butternut squash soup and someone next to me had the goat cheese salad I was so jealous. It was so beautifully made and yet simple. I love that combination. The person next to me said it was the best salad they have ever eaten. I can’t wait to come back and try it.

This little gem of an eatery sits in the middle of the food hall in the lower level of the famous Plaza hotel. We were in New York for 6 days and ate here a couple of times. The specialty here is the tartine — -a French version of an open faced sandwich. They also do several offerings of soups and have a soup du jour everyday. We shared a chicken sandwich on a slice of white bread topped with mayonnaise and garnished with shaved fennel. We also had a bowl of mushroom truffle soup. Everything was fresh and delicious. There is normally a staff of three people here, and it’s fun to watch them. Someone prepares the sandwich, another dishes soup and makes coffees and there was one guy whose sole duty was making various juice blends! There’s a good assortment of blended juices on the menu. Our next visit we had vegetable soup with sausage and the tartine dessert of ricotta topped with drizzled honey and berries. And of course some great coffee! This place in the morning is always busy and it’s hard to find a seat. The popular entrée at breakfast is a tartine topped with bacon and two fried eggs. We haven’t tried that yet, but everyone at the counter was raving about it! Next time!

Avocado asparagus tartine was the best sandwich ever in my life. Good prices, amazing service even for a food court location. Amazing variety of healthy or classic french choices. Great for tourists but even as a local I’d eat here every day.

I would not come here for food. Perhaps for a drink with a friend, but not for food. I ordered the French Onion soup($ 8) that was watery, depressing, and mediocre. I also ordered the Fig & Blue Cheese tartine, but was told that they were out of figs. I didn’t really have a problem with it, but mind you, we are in the peak of fig season, so I’m not sure why they ran out. They replaced it with pears. The tartine itself was not enjoyable either — it did come with fresh greens, but the bread was stale and crusty, and did not lend itself to the uneven globs of blue cheese that overwhelmed the entire dish. The wine was ok. In terms of service, they just seem like your normal food court type of service. They tried to clear my plate before I was finished eating, but brought the check relatively quickly. Still, the service and ambiance does not make up for the terrible food and the alarmingly high price point.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and it was perfect! So fresh and healthy. I had a soup and Tartine. The soup was a watermelon gazpacho. Tasty and refreshing. Big serving couldn’t finish it all. The Tartine was the Plaza special with duck and was excellent. Service was quick and pleasant. 5stars all the way.

DONOTGO if you don’t want to deal with bad service and mediocre food! Why? Oh, a quick example with this blond dude with pale face. me: what’s in the kale salad? him… fetching for the menu. Oh it has poached eggs, baby kale… me: please take the crutons out him… crutons? crutons? you mean… OH crutons! Another example: you know those big binder with business goals, vendor transactions? they ***laid them open**** on a customer counter, right next to napkins and glasses! so when you get any close, they’d get really protective — «You CAN’T sit here» *********EXCUSEME************** YOURPAPERCAN’T SITHERE. that’s what it is. Oh, and this blond dude can’t serve here. That’s really what it is.
