Real cool spot and the owner Israel is a real nice guy. He gave me some wine advice a while ago that has been very helpful. «He told me to learn American wines first by the grape and then work on your Old World last» Great advice, I have to go back to show my new and improved wine skills since that time. Wines were solid and you should know all domestic.

Tried to go last night and was greeted by metal door and a sign saying the landlord has seized the bar. We talked to the tarot card reader whose shop is directly above the bar and she said the bar owners didn’t pay their rent so it is currently shutdown. Maybe next time …

Found this nice wine bar at one night out with friends. It is a very inviting place. The waiter is very friendly and knowledgeable. The decoration is interesting. The place is cozy. The beer selection is very unique. Would like to go back for those interesting wine selections.

I love this place. Something strange happens every time we go, but whether good(free bottle of champagne) or bad(barely any wine left at a wine bar!) the guys who work there are totally cool. And the table cut from logs are pretty cool They lost one star for some odd lighting in the back and, you know, running out of almost everything. They didn’t lose more b/c they bent over backwards to accomodate us.

first off, i love this bar. I have yet to go on a weekend, so i am not sure how it is then. but for a night with my friend, sitting at the bar with some cheeses and 2 glasses of wine, it is just perfect. it have never been packed when ive gone, which i like. it’s intimate and affordable(though i also like 3 $ drafts rather than an 8 $ glass of wine) and the service is great. and if you like cheese plates, do it. get some

A very cool spot which this neighborhood has tons of to begin with. A fun and excellent selection of American wines paired with good bar food. We had the devils on horse back, nothing says love like pork, and the cheese plate which were all delicious. We ran through a few of the wines, the Sheldon Grenache which was fantastic, the Riesling and the Viognier all were perfect matches with the cheeses and the light spring day. A sizable back room for small parties.

I LOVED it. it’s sort of hidden, since you have to go downstairs a little bit, but the place is an absolute surprise if you give it a chance. they have a HUGE back room, which you can’t tell from the outside at all. the wine are from local vineyards– all on the east coast, I believe, but I could be wrong. I had sparking rose, a friend had a glass of red, both delicious. also ordered some food… it was really good! the service couldn’t be better. the guy was friendly, very attentive, funny, and laid back. try it, you might love it too!

i absolutely love this place. I have been there on 3 separate occasions since they’ve opened and have had a great time there. Their wine variety does change, which at first I was adverse to, but now really appreciate because it give me the opportunity to try different wine! the food is excellent and moderately priced. if you have the means, I would suggest this place as a one a month regular spot.

been reading about the spot in tony for a while, so i suggested it as a get together place to celebrate a friend’s last day at work. i started with pinot gris named something poppy. nice and crisp for the sunny afternoon. then i switched to honey moon beer. i ordered the flat bread special with shrooms and goat cheese. we also had the stuffed dates. mmmm, get the dates you won’t be sorry. the fatbread was aight, but nothing über special. would come back for a special ocassion, but a go to happy hour spot.

We came here last night to have a mini celebration for St. Patrick’s Day. Among the four of us, we shared a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and the mixed tapas plate with whole wheat pita — it came with 5 different toppings, such as pine nut hummus, roasted peppers, baba ganoush, something else beany, and sun-dried tomatoes. The wine that the server helped us select was crisp with a bit of acidity, and the mixed plate was satisfying, if a bit on the pricey side. The décor of the place is really nice — red walls with lots of quirky prints and illustrations(a la Edvard Munch style — think«The Scream»). The back room where there are booths and taller tables is probably the best place to sit. It’s a nice place to go have some wine if you are in the area.

My roommate had her birthday party in the back room of this new wine bar last week. We had such a great time! The bartender was awesome, paying plenty of attention to our party even with the front bar full and the room was the perfect size for all of our close friends. We are already trying to think of another party to throw there! Loved it!

We were trying to toe our way to Jadis in the snow last night, but instead chanced upon this hideaway«American Wine Bar». Since we was ISO dim lighting and some Full Bodied Red Varietals, we popped in, and found just the ambiance we hankered for, with small plates prime for pecking.

Unofficially in soft opening, this all-American wine bar officially opens Friday, November 21. Perfect for drinks before/after dinner at Allen & Delancey next door. Or make a meal out of the small plates featuring many local ingredients and cupcakes from the bakery next door.
