I came here for the Locals Project to support 4 – 5 local trance DJs. The bouncers, bartenders and patrons were all friendly. The hall is a bit small with an upper viewing lounge level. The sound was good and surprisingly the music was amazing. Thanks to Kenny C for finding this venue!

I recommend going to not the concert part but just the bottom bar setup. It seems like a chill spot, not too boige or too ghetto either. Urges just one of those assemble your crew and get the drinks flowing. My friends and I ordered so many shots and regular vodka and cranberry drinks were official too. My boy brought some really hot Guyanese ladies with him who are nurses so everyone in the room had too much fun including that one girl who passed out and we had to carry her. Good times, I would not recommend as an every week going here type deal, but once and a while give it a go. Very friendly bartenders that night, I think I remember it was two white girls. So have fun here, order some shots, vodka and cranberry drink and try not to pass out in the spot.

Blahhh. It’s dark, it’s dingy. The bouncers and bartenders were not that friendly. It was an event so they only had one kind of IPA and I hate beer anyway. The music wasn’t that good either and everyone was just standing around awkwardly like a sad Sweet 16 in someone’s basement. I just really was not impressed whatsoever.

Interesting venue for an open Mic. Have only been once, and apparently the open mic has moved on. Doubt I’ll go back. But the bartender was nice. Interesting lighting choices in the basement. Seating was a bit odd though, so I can understand if that is part of the move choice.

I wouldn’t generally come here to eat but I did have the sliders and they were good. I’ve thrown some successful events at this place and had a great time. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful but this comment could be biased since I was involved in business with them.

Yeah… This place is a hole… I got charged for a REFILL of CLUBSODA(Four goddamn dollars!) after the bar tender SLAPPED my hand to get me to produce an ID(again, for a CLUBSODA).

Purchased the brunch Groupon. I mean, it’s a bar/event venue. So, you walk in for a Sunday morning brunch, and you are in this dungeon, basically, to eat brunch. Which is my fault, I suppose… I should have done my homework first. The food was just ok. It’s bar food. It tastes better when you’re drunk. The service was lackluster. My waitress was more concerned with her cell phone.

This place is a bar/event space. The sound system and stage are great, and they have a sweet little mezz spot up over the back of the bar for VIP/Performers/Bottle Service. I would definitely book and event here. The food is typical bar food and not great, but the drink specials are pretty good. They have some interesting shots and cocktails as well– depending whose behind the bar that is. They could definitely use a better selection of draft beers. The only beers they had available on tap were Bud Light, Coors, Pacifico, and MIller. They could use an IPA and a stout.

I used a Groupon here for a brunch for 4 people and we all thought the food was really good, especially the fries! When you first walk in there’s live music and it gives off a great vibe. However, the music was WAY too loud to have any conversation with anyone around you. I would expect this at night but it was 2pm on a sunday when I was just trying to catch up with friends. I feel like brunch is suppose to be social so the music threw me off a bit, but otherwise it was great!

So I went there today for brunch with a groupon and the atmosphere was alright and the servers were sweet and the drinks were pretty good and strong considering it was a groupon deal but the food was horrible. I ordered an eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was disgusting. It was spicy and just tasted like mustard and I was really disappointed. And then my boyfriend had steak and eggs and it minus well have been a piece of sausage bc it was tiny and all shriveled up. So all in all I wouldn’t recommend it for food.

Coming here with a Groupon for Saturday brunch, I was worried on what kind of experience I would be getting with the good amount of critical reviews on Tammany Hall lately. However, I was actually satisfied on the food but the service and the presentation was flawed. To my shock, they serve their drinks in plastic cups! And TINY plastic cups might I add. I would serve drinks in plastic cups in a marathon but not in a food establishment… Service was barely existent. There was only one waitress who worked behind the bar and also took orders. Later on a second girl helped but it became a lot more busy as well. The lack of staff slowed down everything from getting our orders to refilling our drinks. For food and drinks, I ordered the: Bloody Mary — The bad: served in a plastic cup, ¾ was ice. The good: Full of flavor and tasted like old bay seasoning. Very unique flavor and spicy.(7⁄10) Steak and eggs — The steak was cooked as I requested, medium rare. A tad small but what do you expect when you get this as an option at the same price as a omelet on the brunch menu. The steak was about the size of a palm and full of tendons so it was very chewy. I had to play tug of war between my fork and knife just to cut the piece. It had a nice flavor though but probably due to the butter on every component of the dish.(7⁄10) Tammany is far from your go to brunch place but their food was decent. Service is to be questioned. Not once were we checked on and the bill was just slammed on our table before we even finished our drinks.

No. No. No. I made the mistake of purchasing the Groupon for their«brunch». My wife and I called in advance and were told they serve brunch until 4pm We arrived at 2pm and were rushed to a seat by an angsty, disgrunted employee who said, «Sit here. Right here. We need to have you hurry and order. Brunch is ending soon! We have an event soon.» Well, that’s a great beginning… Okay, so we ordered two plates of egg benedict. The happy(not, really) server returned to inform us that they only had one order of eggs benedict left. Uhhhh. okay… All of our beverages came in small, weird plastic cups. Thankfully, they make a half-decent bloody mary. The booze is necessary to help choke down their pitiful food. The eggs had no flavor. Their«salad» consists of about three leaves of arugula.(That’s it – that’s the salad.) They served us approximately 5 home fries each. The ketchup, which we had to wait five minutes for(and no, it WASN’T busy at ALL at no one’s surprise…) was actually bad. I’ve never even seen or had spoiled ketchup before. There’s an experience for you! Once we finished, they couldn’t rush us out fast enough and actually made a snarky comment when we paid with a credit card. Really? What a joke. Save yourselves. There are PLENTY of hip, decent, delicious brunch spots in the Lower East Side. Don’t waste your time here. Please?

Probably not coming back here for brunch again! I got the Groupon Deal, which seemed like a pretty sweet deal! $ 22 for two entrees and 4 non-alcoholic drinks. But to tell you honestly, their entrees were pretty bad. I got the: 1.) Chicken & Waffle: The waffles tasted like they’ve been out for days and the chicken was REALLY dry. 2.) Burger: this was the better dish of the two, but just ordinary. And their OJ tasted like watered down Sunny-D. It really wasn’t the pick-me-up brunch that you want for the morning. I guess, all in all, I shouldn’t be expecting much for less than $ 10 an entrée, but the place just wasn’t conducive to a morning event. When I think of brunch, I think of sunshine, good coffee, and peppy chatter. But this place is really dimly lit, as if I’m in a strip club. I think it would of been much better off as a late-night bar and jazz club than a brunch spot.

I came here on a Sunday with a Groupon. And eh… It wasn’t bad. But to elaborate tag reason for the stars is simply the quality of the food. I had a chicken parm sandwich with fries and two drinks(a mimosa and a strawberry daiquiri). The fries were thin and very much like fast food fries. The sandwich was good but also had that kinda bar food/fast food feel to it. I guess I wasn’t expecting this place to be that much of a bar an have more of a restaurant section. The strawberry daiquiri was ok, but I’ve had better. The strawberry taste was a bit off. The mimosa was really good though! And both were pretty strong. Overall this is a bar. Come here for good drinks. Not so much for the food. I also wasn’t here during jazz times so can’t comment on that. The place was pretty spacious!

I am disappointed to have to write such a negative review. A group of 10 of us had come here to celebrate a birthday on a Friday night. We were scheduled for 10pm — 1am, open bar in the lounge. They processed us to enter(paying $ 30 per person) at 9pm and were then told minutes later that the room was not yet ready. Ok, fine. So we get to enjoy an hour of super loud rock style music played by a band consisting of 40+ members. An hour would go by in no time and we’ll get to enjoy our private space soon. Our group made it to the back of the establishment and stood around waiting for the 10pm room assignment. At about 9:30pm, we were told we could get complementary draft beers, so we did. Not my favorite. but whatever. I shared one with my boyfriend. At 10pm, we were told the room was still not ready. We were getting irritated, and not to mention hungry. At the mention of food around 10:15pm, we were told the kitchen was closed. We were blindsided because we were previously told we would be able to order food while enjoying drinks in our private room. One of the managers offered to go out and grab food if we gave her the money. This would have been a kind gesture and good idea if the entire group of 10 had not still been standing around the bathroom, closed kitchen, and stairway leading downstairs. By 10:45pm, 1) the room was STILL not ready, 2) we were told that since they let us in early(9pm), we only had until 12am to enjoy the open bar(which we were told only draft beers due to THEIR miscommunication), and 3) the kitchen was still closed(with the cook just hanging and punching away at his phone). By this time, our entire group was pretty hungry, tired of the one glass of draft beer each of us were still nursing(those that decided to grab one: 5 people total), and really pissed that they were screwing us over because of THEIR miscommunication. We let them know that we were going to go out to eat and return within an hour, to which they said was ok. By the time we were finished with dinner(12am), half of the group needed to leave(with real life responsibilities to attend to the next day, such as work). Bottom line, my boyfriend and I, along with 3 other friends, donated $ 30 each to Tammany Hall for half a beer(since we shared one) and poor poor service. They need to get their act together. If they were unable to clear their room by 10pm(for which we were scheduled), there needed to be some kind of apology, compensation, and/or refund. If they had intentionally let us in prior to our scheduled time, there needed to be better communication with the bar staff indicating that we were granted full open bar privileges despite not having the room(which was finally free by 12:30 am. wtf?!). However, none of that happened. I will never be returning or recommending this establishment in the future. On a side note: the crowd here is generally 33+. We were a party of 25 – 28 year olds and felt quite out of place. My parents are in their mid 40s and they would fit right in. The live music is also so loud that you cannot hear yourself speaking.

You like music, go there. Do you like good food, maybe you won’t go. Do you care about a nice service, then go somewhere else for real. i didn’t like anything of the place from the atmosphere, the service, the food, the drinks, and the dirty restrooms! Nope

It’s a nice little dank dive until about 6pm when the dance hits start pumping. And are there drag shows here? Ugh, not my thing. When will I be up for seating at Mission Chinese next door? I like Miller Light, but this stuff tastes sourrr.

Ehh… this place was okay. In the late afternoon, without a stampede of people, the downstairs, upstairs, and bar look rather dingy and shabby. The music being played by the small band was far too loud and noisy. It was all rather divey. Not impressed. It was whatevers.

This bar has a live band performance on Sundays and maybe on other days as well. We came here for a Bar Crawl and it was quite lively but not too crowded. They have a very good deal for $ 10 brunch. We tried their fried chicken and waffles and it is pretty good but not the best. We also tried the Sliders and they are good too. Food is obviously not 5 star but the value is there, especially when you have live band playing.

Really nice service and a killer happy hour… 3 of any sliders for $ 10(which were good). Half priced drinks. The staff were all extra friendly. Keep in mind that this was the afternoon. Clearly this place turns into a live music venue later in the evening so the scene is likely to be much different. I can only rate them on their mellow afternoon vibe.
