Freshest seafood I’ve ever had, great service, huge menu,. You can’t go wrong with this place!

Amazing, tasty, fresh. The service is professional and all Asian. Not sure what some of the other reviewers are talking about. I’ve always had a great experience here. Yes it’s pricey, but not unreasonable for the level of quality.

Might be the worst sushi experience I’ve ever had, in any city. We should’ve turned around when we saw the place was near empty during prime dinner hours. The staff is very odd. Hispanic not Japanese. The sushi itself was ok but not up to NYC standards. What irked me the most was they served me cooked salmon sushi! When I complained, they said it was just seared. So I said, just bring me raw salmon(sake) sashimi please and returned it. Then we got the bill and they charged me for both. When I asked to remove the charge for the cooked salmon($ 24) the waiter tried to guilt me into paying! Said he’d have to pay for it. Unreal. Can’t believe I wasted a NYC sushi night at this place.

Fyi folks– TEMPORARILYCLOSED Thru mid APRIL2016. I was in town for work recently and had come by for a snack. They weren’t in business. I asked around with their staff and was told that they are undergoing renovation. It appears they will be re-opening their doors in early to mid April 2016. Looking forward to dining with Sen-nin again in the summer.

I worked across the street from here, so I have been here for lunch several times. The sushi is very fresh and tasty. Service is good. I have never had a bad meal here. They also have special types of fish daily. I try to return whenever i’m in the area. Meals are a bit pricey though.

I love this place! I’ve been to many sushi restaurants in NYC and I would rate this as top notch… It’s just weird, it’s never busy! I wonder if it’s the prices that keep people away. Worth every penny!

I’ve never actually sat at the restaurant, but my workplace caters a lot from here. They are so fresh, so delicious, and it melts in your mouth! :D It gets hard to eat sushi elsewhere!

Here is the deal: this place is so very decent. 1. Service friendly and efficient. 2. Full bar and it’s got great ambience 3. Tables are not stacked on top of each other and very minimal noise 4. They put some fun toppers on sashimi(optional) but go for it. Tofu haters must try the deep fried tofu because who doesn’t love any food deep fried. That’s it. 4 stars solid. Those visiting especially as it’s close to the chaos but off the beaten path and will be a quiet change of pace for. All that is NYC.

The food here is always consistent, delicious and fresh. Only reason for 4 stars is because of the quiet/dead atmosphere but keep in mind that does make it good for a quiet dinner and/or a business meeting.

The appetizers –tofu and vegetable steamed dumplings were pretty tasty. They give you three slices of tofu, each with a difference sauce. Pretty delicious. The vegetable dumpling was ordinary. For entrees, ordered a few sushi rolls. Fish to rice ratio is probably 1:4. Basically, not enough fish – especially for the price. There are definitely better sushi places in NYC that are in the same price range. I would probably skip it.

It was really bad both their atmosphere and services. I may say this’s not Sushi restaurant as Japanese.

This restaurant was way below par. We had a late dinner at around 9, and it was empty. They were truing to push us out, and they didn’t close until 10. The atmosphere was a little un-comforting, and the waiting staff was not too friendly. Now to the food: Awful. Everyone at my table of 6 had sushi, and it was not fresh. It was terrible. The seaweed was crunchy, and the rolls were falling a part. When the check came it was difficult to split, and they stood around our table and watched us sign, and tried to tell us we didn’t tip, when in fact tip was already included. I highly recommend NOT going to this restaurant. There are many more sushi restaurants within a few blocks for better quality, price, and dining experience.

Pricier than other options in the area, but not noticeably higher in quality. Salty — the ginger salad dressing, maki rolls — very, very salty. Atmosphere was pretty disjointed, too. Cute little intimate two-person booths though!

I will keep this short and sweet. The special Sushi Roll was pretty good. Very flavorful and fish was fresh. For the price they charge it was a little pricy for the small portion they have provided. To compare, I are at Kotobuki in Roslyn and we ordered appetizers and sushi for 7 and it was way cheaper than this place. The quality is not comparable to Kotobuki at all. Place is clean and the ambient is nice too. Great service. It was pretty empty for a Friday night too.

I had a really nice lunch here last week. It’s a bit pricey, but the food quality is there. I wish they didn’t put so much sauce on their sushi as I feel like it took away from the true flavor of the fish. I also think that for the type of establishment it is and the price points, they could afford to use fresh grated horseradish. I had the Sushi Deluxe lunch and two pieces of uni sushi. The fish was fresh and everything tasted good. Service was also nice.

This place is trendy but not over the top. It was basically empty on a Tuesday night, which is okay with me. I am not sure if it gets more crowded on the weekends. It’s a great atmosphere for a girls night out. which is exactly what I went for! We all loved the black cod appetizer and the yellowtail jalapeño usuzukuri. My friend ordered a spicy salmon handroll with avocado and crunchies and said it was the best handroll she’s ever had. I ordered tuna sashimi and the tuna was extremely fresh. My friend ordered the salmon belly sushi and said it was one of the best things she’s had before too! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Love this place. Always fresh delicious sashimi. Baby yellow tail, toro tuna belly, and uni are my favorite. It is a little pricey, but worth it.

I’m just going to break this down nice and simple for you. PRO: –Easily some of the best sashimi in New York. The fish was fresh, melt-in-your-mouth good. –Host was very nice and seated us quickly for lunch. CONS: –Service was slow, though it was lunch rush hour. –Prices were pretty steep. A roll with six pieces costs $ 8 – 10.

Came here with my family after visiting the Morgan Museum. I liked it here. The ryokan-esque tables that come before the regular dining area looked fun. Our waiter was very attentive and polite. Service was great and we never once felt rushed even though we were a large party and spent close to two hours here. I had the«Firecracker» — which was a white tuna carpaccio crunch. Delicious. Thanks to my dad who ordered practically the whole menu I got to sample almost every sushi bit this place offered. Loved the eel. I had absolutely no room left for dessert which is why I ended up finishing a lava cake. Thank god for genetics. When our bill came our waiter made sure to inform us that 18% gratuity had already been included — he did this so that we would not overpay. I thought that was very kind. The bathroom area in the back is a bit cramped and that is probably the only negative thing I have to say about this place. But other than that, this place is good in my book.
