It’s another Supreme Court in Manhattan you may not have heard of unless you’re an attorney. To get to floors here, you speak to the security staff on the first floor who will give you a pass. Once you get off that floor, you go through the security check(unless you’re an attorney with a valid Secure Pass). Definitely not the most fancy or ostentatious court building you’ll come across but it’s small enough to not make you feel overwhelmed or as intimidated. I’ve also found security here to be helpful, informative, friendly, all that good stuff. Just make sure if you have a proceeding at 2 to get here no earlier than maybe 5 – 10 minutes before since they do not let you in early & you have no place to sit or hang out. Try the nearest Starbucks for that.
