Subway

It’s a subway. What do you expect? Really what are you expecting here? I was expecting to get a $ 5 sandwich quickly that ranges between tolerably edible to marginally pleasant. This place did not let me down although they did skimp on the meatballs.

Went there this morning, the guys running the line did not listen to me, did not honour my discounts, and frankly I wouldn’t go back. Go to the subway on John street. You would have to walk a few more blocks but its better.

This is one of the best sandwich shop I have ever been in.
The employees are very nice. They make you sandwich exactly how you want it.
It is a very clean store, considering just how many people go through there!
My only issue. So many people go there that it can be a little slow on occasion.

Aside from the fact that this location is around the block from my office, it is always well maintained and very clean. The staff is great and always ready with a smile and small talk especially with their regulars, which I am.
If you’ve been to a subway, you know what the sandwiches are like and what to expect. I’m just a big fan of this one because of the servers. They know my orders even when I change things up. It’s spacious so I’ve never had an issue finding a table. You’ll like the place for a quick bite!

They purposely overcharge you. After several purchases, I began to suspect the price difference. I got charged 7.89 for a 6.75 Turkey foot long. Only I double check today that this dude labled my Turkey foot long as a bbq chicken.

I came, I ate, I puked. Need me to say more? Oh and the foot long is actually 11 inches. And the pepperoni has been getting smaller.

I get a 5 percent discount here and was hungry and sick of the Pace café food and had a coupon for a 2 dollar 6 inch sub. only to be rudely told they don’t take coupons. Why? What makes you special? Despite the rude workers I got fed, was pleased and probably will come back.

The food here is good and actually clean. I will admit the people behind the counter can be hard to deal with but nothing unusual here in New York. I feel subways does not cook their meats very well as it is always wet and mushy. Therefore I always stick to a footlong subway club. However I’m a jersey transplant and we have Jersey Mikes and they stuff their sandwiches to the max sometimes it’s even unmanageable but you nver leave hungry and its tasty. Every time i step into a subways I think I will get the same experience and but as soon as they prepare food I soon come to realize with immense sadness that they don’t stuff their sandwiches nearly as much as jersey mikes.
The footlong just makes it for me. They really need to stuff the sandwich with more meat. It’s a good substitute for now but I don’t know how much longer I can go. But it’s a good place for now.

The folks here are amazing! I was in a bit of a bind… had an event where I needed to feed 60+ ppl. I needed 30 different sandwiche boxes and 3 platters of sandwiches by the NEXT DAY. I called the manager earlier in the day, placed the order around midnight that night and the staff had my sandwiches, etc ready for us the next day at 11 am as agreed. Everything was made exactly how I ordered!!!

Service is not as sharp and they do not honor all the latest Subway promotions. Frequented mostly by Pace University students. Does the job, but not the best of Subways.

The bread here is typically burnt.
The service here is subpar. The sandwich preparers typically space out while making your order. The knives aren’t clean, not even wiped. I typically request a strip of sauce and I get the usually swirly treatment. So much for the dieting help of Subways.

If the ladies are running the line putting together your sandwich, then by all means go for it. If only the guys are there, LEAVE. Rest assured you will have to repeat yourself 4 times for every aspect of your sandwich, not through language or translation issues, but simply because they are not paying any attention to you whatsoever. They have no interest in doing a good job; you can almost sense their disdain at serving you.
