Without a doubt, this is one of the best finds in my short time here. Great food, quality beer selections(rotating taps with tons of great craft brews), and an unparalleled atmosphere. The crew is awesome, and no matter the time(they close around 5:00 am) you’re going to get great service.

Almost every time we’ve been in the East Village, the BF would reminisce about his childhood filled with happy memories eating the most delicious slices at Stromboli Pizza. Being that we both have a deep love for pizza but seem to drool over it more than actually eat it, we came up with a new tradition called Pizza Thursdays. Every Thursday we plan on trying a new pizza joint or revisiting a good one. To kick-off the tradition, we had a few slices at Joe’s Pizza in the West Village on the first Thursday. I was pretty content with our meal(considering I rarely find myself grabbing casual slices on a weekday night when I’m not highly intoxicated). Robby swore that the pizza at Stromboli would be better. And he was right! Despite all the hype Joe’s has, my plain slice was much more enjoyable at Stromboli’s. In comparison, they’re both thin but Stromboli’s is crisper and has a better cheese ratio. I also liked that it was made with lots of oregano! Only downside is I wish they had a salad on their menu. I know, I know… who wants a salad at a casual pizza joint? But hey, I like a side of greens with my pizza okay?!

When you go into a NYC pizza and the owner is Italian… Yes, I can trust its authenticity. Nothing is better than a NYC pizza. This place was delicious! I hate bread-y crusts and the crust here was amazing! It was the perfect thickness, had a great crunch to it with a small layer of soft, chewy bread. It was seasoned very well. I ordered the basic pepperoni pizza and there were chunks of mozzarella in it. By the time I ordered this slice, it has be sitting out and have cooled down. The worker simply placed it back in the oven and in my opinion, it was still so delicious!

The best pizza, ever! Seriously, my friends and I were out drinking and we ordered a couple of pies from this place… amazing is the word I would use to describe their pizza. The crust is buttery, the sauce is delicious and the spices are just perfect. It was so good that we came back and actually ate at Stromboli’s for lunch in February and it was beyond yummy. We got several different slices including the bacon ranch chicken… it was freaking out of this world. I can’t wait to go back!!!

Looks can be deceiving. When I first walked in I skeptical based on the ambiance but the pizza was delicious! I had a slice of regular and a slice of buffalo chicken. Both were cooked perfectly and so tasty. I will def return here next time I am in the neighborhood.

I live near this place but stopped going a while ago because the quality was really starting to suffer. I went back tonight for a quick plain slice and I couldn’t even finish it. It’s worse than a frozen pizza from the grocery store. It tasted like bland dish soap. Friendly service and the atmosphere is fine and I honestly wish I could give them a better review. I don’t think it will hurt them though it’s mostly a late night after the bars close place.

Pizza was really good even though I was wasted. Had 3 slices. Meat, cheese, and more meat. All fresh from the oven and still hot. Crust was thin and crispy. I’ll be going there again for munchies

We stumbled upon this pizza place late at night after hitting a few bars… and then we happened to stumble upon it multiple other times. The guys working in there are so much fun and so nice! We enjoyed talking with them while we ordered and ate the delicious pizza!

Great slices for the drunk mind. Crispy, light and not too cheese(yeah, there’s such thing). Get one of the standard ones, no need to get weird(like ceasar salllad?). Really good over all.

SLEAZIESTBUSINESSINTHEEASTVILLAGE. They delivered pizza to us an hour and a half late. We told them we wanted to cancel the order and 20 minutes later, the delivery guy showed up anyway. We told him we’d cancelled the order, but he told us that his boss told him to just give the pizza to us so we tipped him $ 5 and he left. Two hours later, the delivery guy — who suddenly couldn’t speak English any more — showed up with the COPS saying that we had refused to pay him. AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS. We regret that they even know where we live.

I’ve never eaten here sober, but they are open late, and serve beer. From what I can remember the pizza is good, haha.

Stumbled upon this place on my first day in NY, with a huge backpack, while waiting to get into the Orpheum Theatre. Solid slice — got one regular and one with pepperoni, and a beer. We asked the owners about a luggage storage place and they generously offered to let us keep our bag in their basement. 5 hours later(show + dinner), went back to find the bag intact. Good people, good pizza.

Best pizza in NYC. Damn all those other fancy, brick oven, stand in line because of the hype, pizzas. Been coming here since 1974, initially after a night of partying at the great Ukrainian bars that were around before the greedy landlords priced them out of business. Now we make it a ritual to stop in whenever we come into NYC with my son. Great sauce and all the pies are outstanding. lunch special is still a value. Two slices and a coke for five bucks. That’s a cup of coffee these days. Then go to the east village meat market and stock up on some homemade Ukrainian charcuterie! Thank God it’s not crowded with the gag me hipster set now prevalent in the village. Birkenstocks, black socks, patchouli and of course, dreadlocks . Strombolis is an institution I hope stays around a good while longer.

Stromboli is open until 5am, so this may be more about convenience than providing the world’s best pizza. The plain slice was a bit drippy but tasted good. The chicken parm is a must-skip, though, as it is in desperate need of more tomato sauce.

My wife and I were in the East Village looking for a quick bite and stumbled upon this pizzeria. We had been pretty disappointed with NYC pizza thus far, but this place was the real deal. The staff was awesome, there were plenty of locals in the area that weren’t too awfully hipster, and most importantly, the slices were awesome. The price was a bit steep for toppings, but much better than the robbery taking place in the touristy areas for crappy pie. 2 Slices of Pep, sausage, and some other meat(can’t remember) plus a bottle of water was about $ 10, but it was the best pizza we had in NYC. They do have a 2 regular(cheese) slices and drink for $ 5 deal, which you probably can’t beat.

It’s not mind-blowing, but if you’re in need for pizza to soak up booze from any of the nearby bars, Stromboli has got you. You can get yourself a slice with a minimum of fuss, and if you’re not even feeling like walking, they’ve got free delivery.

Good slice joint in the hood. Usually my go to when I need a quick bite before, after, or mid drinking binges. The variety is what keeps me coming back. They’re always experimenting and trying new combo’s. One of my favorites is the pepperoni and ricotta. Kind of heavy so it’s perfect if you just want one slice to soak up some of the booze. Definitely nothing fancy here but Stromboli is better than around 80% of the other slice joints in the East Village. If you have a better one, let me know. EVP is another good option but I think Stromboli wins out.

DONOT Get Delivery! Pizza was cold, all cheese was one one half of pizza. Delivery man must of taken a sharp turn… There was no sauce on their pizza, crust was good hence 2 stars, cheese was not real cheese, chewed like bubbalicious gum, blahhhhh… Over-all YUK
