this review actually dont even deserve a star… love starbucks and its convenience but when the staff are rude and unprofessional we draw the line there. we visited this branch last Wednesday(5÷13÷15 btwn 5 – 5:30 pm) and my husband ordered drinks that we always order but when he received his drink he told them that his drink doesnt taste correct, that it needed more coffee instead of it tasting the way they made it. they told him thats its supposed to taste that way, a coffee that only tasted like milk for $ 6!!! so they told him«well add another shot of espresso and were not gona charge u even thou we shud.» when the coffee was handed back to the one who made it, that person said«WATCHIMMA F*#K EVERYBODYSDRINKNOW» OUTRAGEOUS!!! and it was a busy time the shop was packed! Definitely NEVERGOINGBACK to this branch, and definitely THINKINGTWICE in going into a Starbucks again!

Most cramped, uncouth, anxiety inducing starbucks ever. It should be a window service like Dairy Queen. It’s a corner… a literal quarter of a dorm room, and there is only one entrance, which requires cutting through the folks getting napkins plans sugar. They need to stop taking orders until they clear people out waiting for drinks. Makes sense, but the register person instructed everyone to move back from the counter to allow people to order. The only thing that would allow for this would be to either hurry up with my drink or to knock the west wall down so that we can overflow onto the sidewalk. My toenail is cracked and pleading from the drone in front of me who responded to the prole’s orders to move back without question and without looking.

Starbucks is slowly becoming less of of a favorite for me. I’ve found so many better cafes with better offerings. As usual, shops become less intimate when they become corporations who run chains. They no longer personalize your order or ask you for your name. Quality of staff went down from when they first launched. I’d much rather go to a mom and pop shop for my green tea fix. Now that I’ve gotten a chance to scope out prices, starbucks is definitely overpriced. But what can you do when you need convenience?

Great location, across from Bryant Park, but this is a small, cramped And dirty store. Understandable since every single tourist walks by and in here. The baristas are friendly enough but sometimes the crowd can get a little unruly.

While I love Starbucks as much as the next person and am so glad to find them on every corner, this one is so disappointing I’m embarrassed to say I’ve been more than once. This location features no access to a restroom, frequently emptied containers of sugar and dry canteens of milk. My most recent visit included a 15 minute wait for a coffee as well as a café mocha that tasted more of a moldy hot chocolate than anything else. The crowd was more of a fire hazard than it was an annoyance. Maybe we need to hire a new staff who knows the ropes for this high profile location or maybe we need to make a wait that starts outside the establishment, but something needs to change to bring me back here again.

Starbucks are everywhere in New York City and that sometimes means they are crammed into nooks and crannies of the city that you’d normally put something like a newstand. One such location is the one across the street from Bryant Park. This Starbucks is basically a hole in the wall with no seating or really, standing room. Instead, you breeze through here to take your drink to go and that’s that. During the day, the lines do get insane here so be warned. The one day I went I did so in the evening so I only had two people in front of me, which was no huge deal. I ordered a Chai Latte Skim with an Espresso Shot and it was made quickly and tasted great. It is important to note that the two young ladies behind the counter were both restocking shelves and unpacking boxes of items when I stepped in and they dropped everything to take care of the customers. Kudos to them!

Store is so small and they do not move fast enough for it to not be over crowded. You get claustophobic just waiting for your coffee in here for 10 minites. In a store that small they need to be lightning fast for me to ever come back and they are not. i rather walk 2 blocks to another location

The Starbucks that I would always go to when I was in the area. Usually crowded but they get things done. :-)

This tiny Starbucks the size of my closet is located inside the HBO building on the corner of a very busy 6th ave and 42nd street. Lines get crazy here and while waiting inside you feel like you are in a clown car. The staff here is super friendly and they try to get you moving quickly. They take your order while you are still online and call it in to the barista in the back using their walkie talkie so by the time you get to the register to pay, your delicious latte is waiting for you. If you aren’t in a hurry grab your java and head on over across the street to the park and enjoy! If you are aquatinted with their secret menu don’t be afraid to ask and experiment, they will accommodate you. Just don’t do it when its peak hours as you will be waiting fora while for your custom brew!

This place is always crowded and I think it’s because of all the surrounding offices near the location, and also because it’s right across the street from Bryant Park and a block or two from Times Square. It’s expected to be crowded. The good thing is the line goes fast and the coffee is always consistent. There is a bigger Starbucks with seating and bathroom one block away. Just saying.

Ever since my office moved from quaint, spacious, uncrowded Chelsea to the pedestrian gridlock of Midtown, I’ve been admittedly grumpy in the mornings, afternoons, and basically any time I have to leave the building. However, my experience at this Starbucks this morning just put me over the top. First of all, whose idea was it to cram a Starbucks into a 10-square-foot space? Who designed this store? I’d like to slap this person upside the head. The line was a huge cluster — nobody seemed to know where it began and where it ended. We wound up making a spiral-like formation that wound around the tiny interior of the space. I ordered my drink and then proceeded to wait for it in a tiny little nook next to the entrance, where the doors open into the store, presumably hitting whoever is standing there(in this case, ME) each time someone enters and exits. Now this is the part that really irked me. Someone ordered a drink and gave the name«Hannibal» and either left, or was not paying attention, or just wanted to hang out in this little claustrophobic cave because he/she did not step up. This is when the barista asked me if I was Hannibal. «No, I’m Erin.» «Ok… HANNIBAL!!!» No response. She looks at me — «are you Hannibal, ma’am?» «NO, I’m ERIN.» This happened 1 or 2 more times before she gave up and finally got around to making my drink. I’ve never been so happy to step outside into below freezing temperatures when I finally left. Ugh.

While being space and bathroom free, they did keep things moving and even somewhat polite on perhaps the busiest morning of the year… Thanksgiving for the Macy’s day parade. The double espresso kept me alive while we braved the crowds for a few hours. Thanks Starbucks!

This starbucks cater towards professionals who just want their dose of caffeine all day long! It is connected to the 1166 building. Always crowded and very long line! That being say, slow and slow! Sometimes all I wanted is iced coffee and I have to wait in line for the barista to get to it… After hours are fine, no line!

Place is always packed, line to the door, staff isn’t super friendly but make consistently good coffee, no seating, clusterf*ck at the end of the bar waiting for drinks. Second condiment bar at the end is convenient only because it seems nobody else knows about it.

Ugh, this location is so tiny. It doesn’t make any sense for it to be so small! This is the corner of 6th ave and 42nd st, it’s a very busy area in midtown. I haven’t really had any issues here but I really dislike the size. And I feel like every time I visit things get more and more expensive.

This location is tiny and has absolutely no seating, let alone space for a logical ordering line. The space for to order or pick up is packed and doesn’t flow very well. Orders also seem to take longer than it would in locations that are better laid out.(The fact that they can only have 3 people behind the counter is likely the culprit). This location is great for coffee on the go — take it to the park or back to the office. But please don’t bring the entourage, large luggage, or short children in here. You’d be asking for trouble. That said, the staff are nice and the drinks all taste the same, so you most likely won’t care unless you’re claustrophobic or a wi-fi leecher.

Tiny store but Ok. It’s convenient for those that work around 6th Avenue near Bryant Park. There are NO seats available here so you basically get your coffee to go. Afterall, there are plenty of seats across the street in Bryant Park. I didn’t see a restroom here either.

When my office was at 40th and 6th, I went here every day. I don’t know who the people are who reviewed this location before, but they clearly aren’t regulars. The staff is great. Friendly, and doing the best it can with the clusterf*ck layout of the place. There’s no better way they can really move traffic in and out. What makes this Starbucks challenging for some people — some New Yorkers in particular — is that you actually have to be self-aware and considerate of others while you’re in it. It’s a really small, awkward, often crowded space, and you have to move out of the way — sometimes more than once. Just be aware — and be nice — and everything will be just fine.

A Starbucks at the NW corner of Bryant Park. Pretty standard except this one is super-tiny and there’s always a long line of tourists and office types in the mid-afternoon. It’s close to my own office so I end up coming here myself when it’s raining or too cold out, otherwise I’d avoid the crowd and get better coffee about a block and a half down the road.

Pretty good branch and a nice place to sit, if you can get a seat. The lines can be crazy sometimes, even early on a Sunday. But the staff is pretty cool and keeps things moving.
