These people are amazing! I work down the block so every weekend I am in this location getting my fix. I have plenty of closer coffee shops I could go to, but the staff here is the main reason I come back. Not only do they remember my name and order, they are just genuinely good people. The entire staff I work with loves the staff at this location it isn’t just me. We go every Saturday and Sunday morning. Simone in particular is just a sweet heart. She is so sweet and sooo good at her job! She is fun and funny while being quick and efficient. She is always super busy and doesn’t get frazzled back there. My drinks always taste so good! I’ve gone to the location on bank st. a few times and they are awful! Never busy but take too long to make drinks. Chat and talk to each other instead of moving the line along. Drinks are usually wrong and taste so bad I end up tossing them or giving them to someone else. This is never the case with this location however. We love love love them! Give them a raise!!!

I’ve been going to this Starbucks for a while now, and I personally haven’t had any problems with the baristas, and most of the time, they’re nice(like the one barista, a young Hispanic boy with glasses, greeted me nicely and was very sweet). I don’t have an issue with the baristas, it’s mostly the space and the cleanliness of this Starbucks. There’s hardly any room or seats in this Starbucks. It’s very vast, and there’s a lot of standing room, but they can fill that standing room with more tables and chairs. It’s dirty too because some of the tables were left with newspapers and coffee cups, coffee spilled all over, and it was sticky and gross on the table. That’s my only complaint.

The staff here was so rude to us! Came here with my mom and ordered a coffee and another drink. After ordering and waiting for our drinks for a while they tell us they actually don’t have that coffee– no apology, no suggestion of an alternative. I’ve been to other locations where the service is always extremely friendly and warm so I was a little taken aback by their rude and dismissive tone, but ok whatever. Wait a little while longer and they give us three drinks instead of two. I let them know that we only wanted two, not three drinks and we would like that last drink refunded. The barista argues with me that he definitely asked me for the additional drink and I respond that there’s obviously been a misunderstanding. Instead of the usual«that’s alright here’s your refund sorry for the confusion» he acted as though this was a huge mistake on our part and we should just take the drink and leave. Yeah no. First they didn’t have the drink we ordered and then they charged us for an extra drink?! Mistakes happen but the way you deal with it is not by being rude and dismissive.

A better than average Starbucks in my opinion. There’s a Starbucks on every corner in NYC however this one stands out in my mind. I ended up at this one after popping up from the subway before making our way to brunch. All the barista’s were working hard and the barista who took my order had an outstanding combination of competency and friendliness. My order can sometimes throw off a barista, but he was able to get it on the first try with no confusion and even managed to crack a joke. The only little thing I noticed is that every three minutes someone was screaming for the bathroom key. I appreciate that patrons are asking to use the bathroom and the barista’s are complying however hearing«bathroom key» screamed loudly every three minutes is annoying. My drink was great as always with above average customer service.

BESTSTARBUCKSHANDSDOWN! Not only does this Starbucks have the friendliest employees morning and afternoon(haven’t been there in the evening), but the service is amazing as well. I walk in and they know what I want and my order is complicated enough. Love seeing those awesome ladies and the occasional guys there every morning. They handle breakfast and lunch rushes really well. Get there early if you’re a fan of their pastries, this location sells out quickly.

One of the few, if not the only, Starbucks in the city where the employees are actively rude to you. If you like being yelled at by multiple people come here. If you like being greeted with zero acknowledgement and«yeah go ahead» when you order come here.

Went here after a workout around 9:30am on a Saturday. Staff greeted me warmly and asked if I wanted a free upgrade to their reserve coffee in the clover machine. It was a special promotion this weekend. I said sure and they assisted me as to which one(of 4) to choose. I also wanted an egg and cheese sandwich but they said they just ran out so they fixed one special for me without the meat from a similar sandwich. When I got my receipt the girl even showed me how they didn’t charge extra for the reserve coffee, which was nice. All of the staff was super cheerful, attentive, and helpful here. They even wrote a cute note on the top of my coffee cup saying«your fancy cup of coffee»! It wasn’t very busy so that also could play a role but I was quite impressed with the customer service skills at this location. Definitely would recommend!

Nothing annoys me more than horrible customer service. But what’s just as bad is having to order from someone who clearly hates their job. The sour face on employee Barbara is enough to not have someone coming back. They need to reevaluate their employees who also didn’t take my order properly. You should never be the first as a customer to say hello. That is always the employees job to greet the customer and not with an attitude.

As commercialized as Starbucks is, there always seems to be something that draws me back. The thing about Starbucks is that you know what quality you’re getting each and every time you return. The atmosphere is also slightly European which created a calm and inviting atmosphere. The downsides area always the long lines. I often enter a shop to exit immediately due to the wait time. I can not spend 15 minutes waiting for a care mocha, especially in the morning on my way to work. For this reason I often find myself ad Dunkin Donuts. Although the quality is less, you get more for your buck and you are in and out.

This is my neighborhood Starbucks. And while, as a rule I am usually against chains in the West Village, as I have seen my mom and pop favorites go under, this location really feels like a neighborhood store. The staff, led by Vinny, Simone, and Theresa all greet with a smile and many times, my drink made before I ask for it. While I miss some of the tables, I understand the need to cut back, thanks to some of the clientele using it as their living room. Is it the best coffee, eh. And do I wish a neighborhood favorite like Joe was between my house and my subway stop? Yes. But this staff, the ability to pay by phone, and the big bright airy space makes this a pleasure to go to.

I came here primarily because my 3 year old needed to use the bathroom but I was fully planning on buying a coffee also. I wanted to take him to the restroom first because you can never be too sure how urgent the need is until it’s too late. I asked the employee for the bathroom code but he refused to give me the code unless I bought something. I told him I would buy something afterwards and was willing to leave my credit card as proof. But he still insisted I buy first. So I bought my coffee, had them hold it for me, then went to the restroom. Fortunately, my son didn’t have an accident but if he did, I would have been pissed off. I understand they probably have a lot of bums coming to use the restroom but I felt like they were taking too hard of a line. I guess if they want to take the chance of cleaning up human urine from their floors, that’s their decision. In the end, I’m guess I’m grateful they even have a public restroom since those are hard to come by in Manhattan. But I’m still going to stick it to them and give 1 star because I can.

I’m loading up the stars just for the staff. This one is around the corner from work, so I go all the time. I’m to the point where I send them Christmas cards and my son’s birth announcement. Everyone is so cool and welcoming. Now, does this one get busy? Yes. Is the bathroom always occupied? Yes. Are there lots of open seats? No. But it’s Starbucks… in the West Village… with tourist and crazies. So that’s how it goes. Regardless, I go back over and over again and see Theresa who always knows to get tall americano ready for Tina :)

I usually stop here on my way to Christopher Street when I need to attend monthly business meetings. The layout is like a rail road flat straight back and narrow. I mean the coffee is always good. But I have never been able to sit cause it is always occupied. This is more of a take out location and I guess I would never sit here cause there are better locations for that. Staff is friendly and I have never had a problem getting my caffeine fix.

Similar to the other Starbucks in NY. As we were walking around, we found ourselves in desperate need of a restroom. Bonus points to Starbucks for having restrooms. Decided to grab a few sweet treats to go. The mini pastries were fresh and the Hot Chocolate was warm and comforting. Employees were friendly and quick. Reading through some of the reviews before me, I’m guessing they are trying to improve their service.
