It’s Starbucks. Service is usually decent, but the two stars is for the perpetually«out of service» bathroom.

A new barista today Karla. Making 6 drinks at a time keeps giving everyone behind me their complex drinks, skipping me, finally I tell her«where’s my drink?», then the three guys came back from their break, she gets put on the register. She never relays the order of the drinks to the guys, so I keep getting skipped. I tell her«Karla, it’s your job to relay the message to the next person replacing you of the order of drinks. She sets up 6 drinks but not in order of appearance. Not the brightest mammals! Horrible Service today. The new girl’s system sucks. Karla the turtle, is not a welcomed addition to that Starbucks 10 min to get a passion fruit lemonade. I’ll wait till she gets fired before I return.

Incredibly rude service here, even by NYC standards. Sometimes they’re not even open before 8am because they can’t be bothered to show up and open at the designated time. One time I went in and was told they couldn’t make coffee because the evening shift forgot to connect the water or something like that. Luckily, there are plenty of other Starbucks in the city.

For all you die-hard Starbucks fans, this should be your location of last resort. To be brutally honest, it feels like a store staffed by personnel in training and lacks all of the professional luster of a traditional Starbucks. The lines are consistently and painfully long because there seems to be high staff turnover and always a new face at the register who is uncertain of procedures. They don’t take your name and I think it is policy for Starbucks personnel to do so to make customers’ experiences more personal. I’ve been jipped on whipped cream on my frap two times in a row even when I specifically requested that they«not be stingy» with it. When I have asked for frap recommendations, the baristas have looked at me all judgingly and responded«I don’t drink fraps.» The store is packed with teenagers who just appear to be hanging out and not ordering anything. Don’t waste your time.

No ceramic mugs to drink coffee there. Refused to leave the plastic lid off the paper cup.

I find the staff here to be very attentive and kind with a few exceptions. I give it four stars mainly because of it’s convenient location. I can easily grab my coffee on the way to the train. My main complaint though is that the condiment bar is constantly running low on milk. I often find the half & half is empty. If I’m not in a rush I’ll let the barista know and they will refill the milk when they get the chance. It’s rough on all parties though, because usually all the baristas are busy taking orders or making other drinks.

Welcome to Generation Zero and chip on the shoulder service! Wow! I apologize for patronizing this business. No eye contact from the cashier… so, I ask«do you have my order?». No eye contact, dance with co worker, grab item from toaster, return to register. «Yeh, what did you want?». Barista–«do you mind if I have this warmer?. «I have to make it again?» Yes, you do because your amigo wasn’t listening. This is not a generation that easily grasps being part of the human race. But, alas, I needed to stay for a work interview. Several times I look up when I heard«f?/; this, f?/; that, thinking a mental had stumbled in, needing aid. No, it was a Starbucks employee rattling off the injustices of her week(a full 40 hour schedule… You know true inhumanity) and employees just hanging out(while the manager did most of the restocking, which may explain why these kids act like punks), eating in front of guests. Generally speaking, the vibe was like they were striking out against corporate culture and just gonna get ratchet. I hope that the manager reads this. Or at least the review from the partner of the company, whose horror seems eerily similar to mine. Service like this will eventually have it resembling a ghost town.

One would think that after 6 months of not having things like savory fold overs that they would realize that thy should stock more. But no! Glazed looks greet you when you order something that they have run out of. Even better, they sometimes take your money and FORGET to give you what you ordered. I would recommend café buni up on 187 and Pinehurst over this corporate funded hell hole.

Francisco and Shlomo are awesome. The whole team is very personable. They had my order done very quickly. Thanks again!

This is my local Starbucks location… It is starting to get much better now you can actually get your coffee without watching the girl behind the barista machine constantly text message or talk to her friends that are standing there. The team that is in place now does seem better… hopefully they continue to improve this location.

The worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to. Friendly enough but the wait is insanely long and always. There’s 4 people in line and it takes them 20 minutes to get to you.

It never fails that this starbucks is usually out of one thing or the other. It is a very busy starbucks so why is the staff to customer ratio so low.

This Starbucks is quaint and has a nice homey feel to it. Nice staff, very clean. There are a few seats outside to enjoy the breeze as you drink your coffee. Very conveniently located next to the train station.

Roy’s Top 5 Things to Know: 1. Service and drinks are normal, nothing to write home about but not bad either. Wish they carried that old fashioned glazed donut. 2. It’s located on the corner of 181st Street, right outside the A station. It’s one of two Starbucks in Washington Heights. 3. They have restrooms just like most Starbucks. 4. They have seating outside as well as inside. However, some folks use it to sleep on so it’s not the cleanest. 5. They have wifi but it’s pretty slow.

Took a quick run here Saturday morning. I love to people watch so this is the place. Due to the calm crowd there was not that much seating but there was some. I don’t think i have ever witnessed it being so full that a patron wouldn’t find a place to sit. Great for someone with kids. Love the cute free community bookshelf… although I’m not sure if it is affiliated with the business. Great community staple.

It’s Starbucks. That is all. Just kidding. The coffee and prices are all the same as other Starbucks joints. There is limited seating here but I’ve always been able to find a seat, which hasn’t been a problem. The service is iffy. On some nights the baristas are kind, on others they’re too busy talking to each other or trying to process everyone like cattle to actually look up from their registers. Overall, it’s good if I’m desperately craving a caramel latte in the Heights, but I wouldn’t make a special trip out here and may actually go to the next closest one. I haven’t seen the bookshelf out front but that seems like a FANTASTIC idea. Kudos for that!

VERY convenient as it’s right outside the 181st Subway Station. It isn’t a big Starbucks but had a homey and slightly cozy décor compared to other Starbucks scattered around the city. Clientale was surprisingly more Whites than Hispanics given the hood has a Dominican majority. Manager was Dominican, and staff are mostly White. Staff are alright, nothing special, just gets the job done and service was pretty fast. Oh, a funny thing about this Starbucks is that there’s a bookshelf right outside the store that says something like ‘Pick a Book, Leave a Book’. It was pretty cute but not sure if I would pick and leave one at any given time… maybe if I decide to stay at the store for a while I might. Not bad if you need to grab a cup of Joe before hopping on the A express train downtown to start your day.

Hello! I really wanted to leave positive feedback regarding my Starbucks experience however this is actually the 3rd time I’ve received unsatisfactory service so please allow me to express my disappointment. As a fellow partner, I understand the importance of customer satisfaction and the relationship we build to encourage the customer to keep coming back BUT I honestly dread having to stop in on my way to work or for an afternoon treat. I am already anticipating the less than even average work ethics, zero smiles, zero sense of urgency and zero efforts to «finish and connect». Can’t even get a «Thanks, have a good day.» I’ve been visiting this location for some time since I am new to the area, and each time I step in, they are fully staffed but with limited communication resulting in a very chaotic atmosphere. Minimal eye contact and inconveniencing attitudes have been extremely noticeable, and when asked for a cup of decaf(at 4:20pm), a scoffed, «if I haveee it» is stated rather than a solution. How dare I ask for decaf coffee. In a coffee house. I’m not asking for rose petals or Plaza Hotel service, but when I come in with my friends, I am embarrassed to say I work for the company(knowing all Starbucks are not like this) and noticed it’s just us they treat this way. It’s a pattern, and each customer seems to be bitter to the customer behind them, in front of them… everyone in the store — an overall awful experience, just to purchase coffee?! I know the management has been switched over at this location and I am a firm believer that a successful team starts with a successful leader. I will try to avoid this location as much as possible. Sincerely, A new neighbor, fellow partner and huge coffee advocate just wanting a cup of joe, yo.
