crowded but my favorite Starbucks spot… friendly people and super fast service…

Location moved to 25 Union, 2 blocks down, just FYI! I grew up in Seattle on Starbucks, and live off iced triple espressos :) I’ve been going to this store at 25 Union(used to be 41 Union) for a year. Today was the 4th time I’ve had the same employee be incredibly rude to me. She rolls her eyes, interrupts me when I’m asking a question because«she’s too busy and I can wait», she made my drink in a venti cup instead of a grande cup and was so rude to me that I just walked out. Today she calls out my drink that has been sitting on the mobile counter, but doesn’t hand me the oatmeal that’s on the same ticket, so I ask her if that’s also for me(Christina), and she says«Can I finish calling out my drinks???» She had already called out my drink and forgot my oatmeal sitting on the back of the counter. I can make espresso at home. I go Starbucks for the experience. Every other barista is so friendly, even when they’re stressed out, but this woman gives the entire store a bad vibe. I walk out frustrated that she can act like that. I can’t imagine I’m the only customer she’s continuously rude to. Point is, if you don’t like people, don’t work in hospitality or customer service. I’ve been going to Starbucks for over 20 years. They are usually very busy at 8 — 9am… maybe have this woman work at night if she’s not a morning person or does not like people?

This particular store is busy, yet quick to move the line. The space is bright, spacious, and feels open. It’s one of my favorite cafes for this reason. NO outlets in this location — they have all been covered. Head across the park to 15th and Union Sq East if outlets are your prerogative.

Another customer and myself were on the receiving end of the out right abusive and accusatory attitude of a Starbucks employee named Peggy. Due to Peggy’s poor communication skills and lack of leadership, this place was a three ringed circus at 9:00PM on a Tuesday night. My simple purchase of one $ 1.95 cookie(with exact change) was obviously a difficult purchase for her and her cashier to manage. After waiting in line for 10 – 15 minutes to make the purchase, she felt it necessary to be rude, obnoxious, and out right nasty to myself and the customer behind me in the line. My advice to Peggy is get a different job. If you don’t like servicing the customer, than you are set up to fail for the rest of your Starbucks life. Actually, Starbucks would be a better place without you. I think it’s time for you to go.

Meh. I haven’t been here often enough to review the staff, but overall it certainly isn’t anything special. This rating is relative to the other million Starbucks’ one will find in a 2 block radius. If you need your Starbucks fix and you are in Union Square. this wouldn’t be my first choice. The layout is a little awkward.

This location is always busy and they have to deal with a lot of customers(and bums from the park!) They have a good system to keep the line moving but that also means you should be on your toes when ordering. Not the best time to ask questions and if you have special requests be prepared for them to be ignored. Not because they don’t care but because it’s just hectic almost all the time things may be overlooked.

Today was the 2nd time I’ve been here I ordered a grande passion tea lemonade yesterday I waited nearly 30 minutes for my drink and today they failed to call my name when my drink arrived. I really wanted to give this place a chance and already two strikes it’s a shame. Looks like I’ll be going back to the 15th street location

This Starbucks is one of the spacious one. The line seems to never die down. I went in around 7ish to 8pm and there was still a line. The line goes by pretty quickly. I have to say, the barista that took my order is super kind. I ordered a mango black tea lemonade and there happened to be no more lemonade. I was a little shocked and I couldn’t think of what to order at the split moment. I realized I was starting to hold up the line a little bit, BUT the barista didn’t get mad or annoyed. He was patiently waiting and had a smile on the entire time. Great customer service compare to a lot of other Starbucks I have been too. Kudos :)

I used to come to Starbucks when I needed coffee fast. I never loved their coffee so it was never a taste thing for me. Their coffee hasn’t changed but the service, in almost all Starbucks in NYC I am finding, is horrible. Line out the door and people are chatting it up instead of making the damn drinks. Now I go to Pret across the street from this location and am in and out in about two minutes. What’s up Starbucks?

The lines are crazy long and it looks scary, but there are 3 people ringing up and 3 – 4 people making drinks. So the line moves faster then you think. Right now they have the afternoon treats. Any mid iced drink for $ 2.50 plus tax. Which means you have two drinks a day, because you need the coupon from the morning drink. Get a solo shot over ice and add your own milk. Half price latte

This is among the better Starbucks in Manhattan because it’s pretty large. They’ve got a good amount of seating and when I came here in the evening there was a table for me to share with my backpack(without displacing anyone). They’ve only got one bathroom, and the staff aren’t the friendliest, but that’s not why I’m giving it five stars… I got laid after I met someone for coffee here. Your mileage may vary.

Why even bother reviewing a ‘Bux, you scoff? Well, MANY reasons, matter of fact! And here they are: Located on the west(Broadway) side of Union Square Park, this linear Bux offers seating, restroom and prompt orders. The long line moves fast; be not intimidated by it. The staff here seems to be really on the ball. They enter your specifications(ie extra ice, soy milk) on the stickered ticket to avoid any penmanship misunderstandings. Though this location is narrow, it is shaped like a dumbbell, with seating areas at each end. The seating itself is cute! With a few comfy chairs and benches. There are also two means of egress, so if you’re going in the assembly line, you enter, order, pick up your drink, and then can leave from the north end door. If you want to be indoors, this Bux can accommodate, but the real action is taking it to go and sitting in the lively Union Square Park. So I checked«yes» for outdoor seating, because of its proximity to the park. I frequent this location 2−4x/week and it always a pleasant experience.

Always a long line when you first walk in. You get rung up quickly though so I like that. However the real wait is for your drink. Unless you get hot drip coffee, you’ll be waiting awhile. It’s almost always packed, even more so when the weather is nice. Just expect to be in here for at least 15 – 20 minutes. At LEAST. It’s usually always packed when I go in, so I don’t bother sitting because it just gets too claustrophobic and loud for me. The front seating has tables and it’s usually where people with laptops sit, the back area is more for the«sit and chill awhile» people who just sit, sip and talk about whatever. It’s the nearest one to my work, super convenient, and the cashiers are always pleasant. They have the clover machine which is a plus to many people. It’s your usual starbucks, so there aren’t any surprises or anything overly stand out-ish.

On a weekend the line was long and moved painfully slow. I ordered a grande chai misto with skim. The barista at the register did not understand what I wanted. He did not ask for my name or offer me my receipt. I received a tall chai misto with soy. I had to ask for them to remake it with skim. The re-made drink was also slow. Overall a very disappointing Starbucks visit.

They get too much traffic at this location so the waits can be long and the noise level high. They need another location nearby. One across the square is better but not convenient for me.

I mean, it’s a starbucks. The line is long, but after experiencing the long line at the starbucks near NYU(across from the welcome center), it didn’t seem so long at all. Everyone was super nice, and while I was waiting, the girl handling the drinks asked me what I had ordered and got it to me in no time. I liked the fact that they had seating in the front and back, the back being more catered towards people who could sit and chat, the front seemed more reserved for people working on their laptops or something. When I’m alone, I like to sit at the bar seats next to the window and just people watch. It was great especially since the ASPCA, Petco and other dog shelters were doing an huge adoption event that day :)

Yesssssss, it is COFFEE time! And best of yet, they have the clover machine here, which is a rare find in the city. Not many Starbucks branches have it. Simply enjoyed a delicious Clover brewed coffee!!! So rich, so strong, so GOOD! Loved the right kick it gave me. It is definitely a must try even though price wise costs a bit more. Check it out on the menu. Want a perfect cup of coffee? You got it!

I went to Starbucks earlier today on a top-secret pick up mission. The mission was a huge success and completed in very little time. During lunch time the place was completely packed, but the line dwindled down in about a minute. I was able to pick up the a couple things and be back on my way within a couple of minutes. It could be that I didn’t order a drink. Nevertheless, there was a guy putting in the drink orders before you reached the waiter. The store was also clean. The products of course speak for themselves.

Union Square presents many food options and of course, it cannot be complete without a Starbucks. Store #7540 where my morning routine encompasses hot Green Tea at $ 2.25. The morning rush is a mile long standing on the bread line as if I were waiting for an absolution from this ailing economy to order one measly drink. This particular Starbucks draws traffic from Union Square especially the days of the Green market.
