HORRIBLE experience there yesterday. I stopped in for my occasional treat: a quad venti soy latte, which is $ 7.25. Now, for that price, I expect to get what I pay for. First, they didn’t fill the cup up all the way with soy milk(which they charge extra for). There was about 1.5 inches of empty space left at the top of the cup! I asked politely if they would please fill it up with steamed soy, as I had paid for a venti. The barista, KAYA, gave me a major attitude and made fun of me(verbally and with eye rolling) to her colleague, right in front of me! At that point, I was pissed off. I asked«Can you confirm that there are four shots of espresso in there?» and she snapped«I didn’t make it, so I don’t know.» She proceeded to pour soy milk into a steamer cup labeled«Whole Milk, steam it, and then poured a bunch of foam into my cup. Again, not milk, just airy foam that melted as soon as I stirred. 1) lattes, by definition do not have foam. Foam makes it a cappuccino. If I had wanted an inch and a half of foam, I would have ordered a cappuccino. 2. She violated health code laws and allergy-friendly policies by preparing and serving soy milk in a whole milk steamer cup. I order soy for the flavor, but a lot of people have serious dairy allergies. Kaya could have made me sick, will probably make someone else sick, and seems not only not to care, but to actually take aggressive pleasure in providing poor service with a nasty attitude. The cherry on top of this delightful experience is that the coffee tasted burned(more than Starbucks usually does), and they didn’t have any cinnamon out. When I asked a different barista if they had any cinnamon in the back, she said no, but then I saw a jar of it sitting out behind the counter. Again, when I pay $ 7.25 for a cup of coffee, I expect it to be great. Starbucks: your brand’s value proposition is based on 1) the promise of a repeatable experience and 2) the promise that the customer will get whatever drink he/she [over]pays for. You failed to deliver on both counts today.

Central location next to union square. It appears new & clean. It has all the usual coffee & of course my fave frappucino. Even the popcakes are still available! Service was quick & efficient. No complaints here!

Waaay better than the older location. The décor is calming, the line moves fast, and the seating is well thought out. I love sitting in the back along the window, right about the HEATERS. Super nice. Should have an outdoor patio once it gets warmer, too!

Like most Starbucks in the city, there’s no place to sit because all the tables are taken up by people who are not customers, just hanging out there, and the management doesn’t want to do anything about it.

Better service at the old location. Here nobody seems to want to work, and there are always employees standing around doing nothing. Multiple times I’ve ordered a tea or coffee to go but still, I’ve either been forgotten about or the barista just blatantly disregarded the fact that they were responsible for pouring my drink. I have tried doing the mobile order here but apparently that doesn’t mean anything either and I still spend a great deal of time waiting because nobody is keen on answering me when I ask about it. So dissatisfying to see such a great branch become so crappy because they got an upgrade to a new fancy store. Management should be very disappointed in their team since many of the employees(and shift managers) are the same ones I have seen since I started coming here almost 2 years ago. The people actually working are nice. But it seems most don’t want to anymore they’d rather the aesthetics of the store make up for their lack of service and attentiveness.

I was visiting the Big Apple and needed a refreshment, after walking all day long. Starbucks was nearby and it had a restroom available. Not knowing what to get, i decided to ask a barista name Peggi, she was very helpful and courteous, I wanted a decaffeinated drink and not necessarily coffee Peggi took her time explaining all the various drinks that Starbucks offers and in the end i got myself a green tea latte. THANKS a million Peggi, you do a great job as a barista. If all Satrbucks had an employee with your attitude, it would make that part of our lives much easier.

This starbucks is not inly comfortable, their staff is wonderful. A coffee master there always makes the best of efforts to make me and my boyfriend feel welcome and appreciated. Only problem is finding seating since its so packed all the time. The drinks are always on point. Ive gone there in the morning and at night and i havent been dissappointed yet. Lets hope they keep it that way! They also have clover, just beware it may take a bit loner since theyre brewed as singles. bit the taste is worth it!

New location in Union Square(as in… the smaller one formerly located on 17th and Union Square moved 600 feet south) with great artwork on the walls and a nice, clean feeling. It’s brand new. I’m liking all the work space they have available and two large bathrooms for your convenience. Lines are typically long, but that’s why there’s mobile ordering… skip all the people who are standing there waiting because mobile orders take priority in the queue. That’s kind of rude, but not so much when you’re the one benefiting from the unfairness of the whole concept! Anyway, I generally only get coffee here when I’m passing through on my way to Breads Bakery. I enjoy the very high ceilings, but would recommend that they put in a second milk/sugar/stirrer station because b*tches be bumping into each other at the single station they have. Overall, not a terrible Starbucks experience and the baristas are helpful/won’t ruin your drink. Check it out and bring your laptop while this place is still nice and new.

This new Starbucks location is comfortable to be in with high cielings, big windows, and stone décor + mosaics. Opposite the western Union Sq subway exits and the farmers market, this location is guaranteed to be busy, and 3 registers keeps the line moving quickly. There are two floors: only the ground floor is open as of writing, and the basement floor should allow for at least double the amount of seating. Starbucks«slow café» concept will also be added in the near future. Plus: outdoor seating in the back courtyard, likely to be added spring 2016, when it is again warm out.

The inside looks nice. It’s so close to the other one! Is the one a block away closing? Rent hike I would assume. Both are too much. I’ll check back when I’ve explored the new one post construction
