slowest service in a Starbucks that I’ve seen. it wasn’t too busy, but really slow. my friend ordered a drink, it never came out. when we asked about it more than 10 minutes later, they said they ran out of the flavor. work on baristas keeping track of orders, and letting us know right away when they run out of something, so it’s not a waste of time.

One of the worst Starbucks in the city. Employees are lazy AF. Expect to be here a long time while you wait for your drink.

My sister ordered drinks for herself and my cousin. I sat at the bar to wait and decided a cup of water would be nice. I ask and the manager Joy? said they can’t refill a water bottle and that I would have to get a cup. Understandable. She told me to move to the middle with the rest of the people waiting for their drinks. Alrighty. So I’m standing there and waiting. I hear the manager call one of the cashiers to call the other cashier(trainee) to finish the purchase and get the hot water started. Still standing there. Watching. Waiting for a cup of water. No need for ice! I ask again but to a different employee and she says hot water? No. Just a cup of water. Manager tells her not to focus on me. She fills a cup and gives it to me. Overly complicated and a bit rude for something so simple as a cup of water.

I’ve never had an issue with this Starbucks BUT there’s definitely a design issue with this location. The setup of the place never had a smooth flow from register to bar and most people get sort of confused when they first walk in. The location is very clean and the drinks are always consistent. No hood employees here.

WORST Starbucks ever. been here multiple times and the staff is beyond rude and unpleasant and the wait for even the simplest thing is absurdly long even when there isn’t a line. if you are craving a delicious Starbucks drink don’t waste your time here walk a few more steps to the next one and don’t think twice about it. so not pleased!

Conveniently located outside the 59 Street — Columbus Circle train station. This place is always crowded and the line is always long. The seats are never empty. If you are lucky, you might be able to snag a seat for yourself. Although it is crowded and there are long lines, they pump out drinks rather quickly. The only pro at this place.

I’ve never walked out of a Starbucks ever! As a gold card member many of the Starbucks teams know me by name because I always Tip and acknowledge them individuals with brief but compassionate dialogue! Today I walked in to this Starbucks which I can count on one hand my previous visits. Like they say always trust your instincts, as I never liked the overall energy? So as I acknowledge Joseph at around 2PM and place my order, the first alarm went off when I asked for Agave to sweeten my Cold Brew with Coconut Milk and Joseph didn’t know what that was? When he asked his manager she abruptly replied, «WEDON’T HAVETHAT!» I retorted«Every Starbucks I’ve been to, and that’s many, carry packets of Agave sweetener!» And her final reply, «NOTTHISONE!» And on that rude note I walked out to the sounds of «Next Customer?»

This Starbucks is absolutely ridiculous during the morning hours. I completely understand that it’s the morning rush, and the line is gonna be long. But it doesn’t seem that the baristas understand that. There’s always a long line of people not waiting to order, but waiting for their drinks. I get that some drinks take time to make. But if I’m ordering plain iced coffee, that didn’t even require syrup, how hard is it to put some ice in a cup and pour some coffee in it??? Today I waited 10 minutes for that because the single barista was busy chatting with another employee. It’s absolutely ridiculous!!! I personally have walked out many times when I saw the long line of people, and a few ppl did that today. So think how much money they’re losing. I think it would be wise having a designated person handling iced coffee being that it’s a highly demanded drink at the moment. The customer should not have to wait more than 1 minute for it. There are many options for iced coffee in the surrounding area. Obviously Starbucks is my preferred, but for the sake of not being late for work, I will go to the other places. And I have, even though Starbucks is just a few steps from my job. Like seriously, get ur act together!!!

I wanted to sit here and have lunch. My phone was running low on battery so was standing next to an outlet to charge it while I waited for a table to open up. A woman kicked me out after 3 mins for not purchasing anything even though I was about to buy lunch as soon as a table opened. Not to mention I had bought breakfast from the same Starbucks earlier in the day… Thanks for being so welcoming

WORSTSTARBUCKS I’ve ever been to. Barista Steven was so rude and unwelcoming to the customers. He looked unhappy to be there. Drinks took too long and didn’t even taste up to par. Never attending this filth again. Actual jokes.

I came here between 6 and 7AM for coffee and found this Starbucks to be a good place for take out if you’re in a hurry. I didn’t see any long lines develop when I was there early in the morning on a Monday. It’s not such a good place to sit, because they have a grand total of four tables, which were kind of uncomfortable, and then some seating at a bar. I found their music selection a little too loud and annoying for my tastes.

I like this Starbuck’s more than other’s. The line usually moves pretty quickly. Baristas are efficient and get your drink order and name correct almost every time(no one is perfect and some people ask for crazy stuff)! Will make coffee fresh if you ask. Can give you drip coffee is you ask too(not on menu). Bathroom is clean. I love some of the smaller chains and independent shops, but this is a quality Starbuck’s that’s worth making it your go-to if you live or work in the area.

This has become my go-to Starbucks as it is right down the street from my NYC office. The place is almost always packed. The staff is very friendly, although there is almost always a line of people, sometimes out the door. It isn’t from the staff being slow, it is because most of the time the patrons are not paying attention as the baristas are saying«next»! They take your order and get you processed relatively quickly. The drinks are always correct, I’ve never had an issue with my coffee or my food here. The only downfalls about this place are the fact that it is small, there is only one or two tables here, as well as a constantly packed bar. The bathroom is usually clean although there have been a time or two when I have gone in the morning and the bathroom hasn’t been cleaned. Also, in the busy time, the floor and the milk/sugar bar are less than stellar. But why should one complain when the service is great.

Terrible for working! There are a total of 3 tables spaced oddly throughout the store … and a bar/counter that allowed for ~4 people to sit(because there are only about 4 stools). Not nearly enough space. Luckily I grabbed a seat to do some work but then 2 of the staff members were sitting right next to me talking loudly and it was very distracting. Perhaps they were done with their shift or got here early? Unfortunately I had no choice but to work from this Starbucks, but maybe Starbucks should consider having an employee lounge. I found out way too much about my baristas life, and she wasn’t respectful that people were trying to work.

Friendly and professional staff. Once you’re a regular they know you and your order. Frustration comes from long lines of tourist and other clueless customers who can’t place an order or take their ear buds out long enough to hear when their order is up!

This is a very busy Starbucks and they seem to get a bit overwhelmed at times. I am tempted to say that’s just life in New York City, but some of the staff here move oddly slowly and don’t seem to know much about coffee. Others fast and sharp. Starbucks made their name serving rich dark roast coffees but this location rarely brews a dark roast, instead brewing a light roast, decaf and two mediums. Strange. They claim they are just following corporate guidelines but other Starbucks locations brew dark roast. I noticed this problem over time, almost by accident, when I would visit, ask for a dark roast drip coffee, take it to the office only to find myself disliking it and just spilling it down the drain. At first I thought something had gone wrong with Starbucks dark roast processing. Nope. They were just giving me a medium when I asked for a dark roast. Yes it is a big difference. I’m a dark roast lover and in my experience, Starbucks selects and roasts some of the best in the world. Funny, that it is often hard to get them to brew it. If you order a dark roast when a Starbucks is not brewing one, the staff are supposed to tell you that, and offer to do a «pour-over»(or Clover if the store has a Clover machine). At this store, not only do they not offer a pour-over but most of the staff don’t even know what that is. And as I mentioned earlier, if you ask for a dark roast drip coffee, they give you medium, hoping that you won’t notice. A pour-over should take two minutes to set up and four minutes to brew. Perhaps a little longer if the store is busy. This afternoon I waited almost 15 minutes while they were NOT busy, but just screwing around — as if they wanted to punish me for ordering a pour-over. I rely on Starbucks a lot and am so grateful that they exist — not they they are ever perfect. I wish that this one would consistently serve dark roast and ensure their staff move quickly when it’s busy.

I guess I’m spoiled by other Starbucks… because to me, I felt like this was A TERRIBLESTARBUCKS. Such a long wait! But if the starbucks in this city all have such long lines and waits… then … I guess it’s okay? The staff/baristas are quite friendly and usher you through the register/ordering your drinks/food really fast. However there was a wait of about 20 people cramped up waiting for their drinks. The food/drinks taste like any other starbucks. I wish there was more seating. There are a total of 3 tables spaced oddly throughout the store … and a bar/counter that allowed for ~4 people to sit. Not nearly enough space. Luckily I grabbed a seat to do some work.

Just like any other starbucks in the city. There are some notes here though… 1. Only two or three two-seater tables 2. Giant lines during rush hour and is an awfully slow wait.(I would say 10 min to 15 min which isnt so bad but can get fairly uncomfortable. 3. Small shop; so this is not a starbucks where you sit and chat, its really more of a grab and go spot. Other than these facts, this location is just like every other Starbucks and merits no special attention.
