Came at 8pm on a Sunday after some shopping for a Caramel Macchiato. I ordered and as I was paying, the girl making the coffee said she wasn’t making it. I asked why. I thought she was kidding. I was told they didn’t want to make it because they cleaned the machines already and they were shut down. They close at 9.

Contrary to some reviews I’ve just skimmed this SB isn’t filthy. Maybe it’s because as I entered staff was cleaning so is it timing? What I find very different from most SBs is staff isn’t friendly at all. Not even a smile. They aren’t rude but they ALL appear very tired. And who among us hasn’t experienced this nearing the end of a long shift? I like the location(upstairs Macy’s) and I sincerely thank both stores for the free wifi. The End.

Well, its not horrible, but its certainly not the best Starbucks. The staff is friendly, but the service is lacking. The orders seem to all get jumbled and lost. Customers appeared to be disgruntled and disheartened when they received something they didn’t order. It was very noticeable. From our perspective it was a long wait and details had to be given repeatedly. Pros: –Good location on 1 ½ floor of Macy’s in midtown. –Friendly service. –Clean area and well maintained. –Plenty of seating.

This Starbucks on top of Macy’s is the most disgusting and filthy coffee shop I’ve ever been in. There was a huge puddle of water in front of the cash station. They knew about it but no one cared to clean it up. The seating area had tons of crumbs, cup covers straw covers ALL over the floor and seats. The tables were sticky, the floors were all spotted and dirty. Crumbs everywhere! Starbucks needs to hire a better manager and staff for this shop.

The cashier was so rude & my frappucino sucked. Not only did the customer service & quality coffee suck, the place was a mess!

On the 1.5 floor of Macy’s Broadway Balcony, this newly built Starbucks opened summer 2013 with the same commanding view of W 34th St but a décor custom to Macy’s new sparkling white design. The service is fast as the volume of customers is equally fast. Seating varies with tourists: heavy during non-mealtimes, etc.

Why is it always so damn hot in Macy’s? It seems like they never turn up the AC enough in this place. So when shopping for clothes the dressing rooms turn into saunas. That’s why having Starbucks in Macy’s is a good thing. This one is on the third floor. Getting a large iced coffee hits the spot and cools me down when I am walking around, or to just take a seat and relax a bit. It’s not the biggest location, but at least it’s there with some chairs and tables set up. Pretty much the same stuff as with many of the smaller locations, and the baristas here are ok. Sometimes you just need a caffeine jolt, or a place to chill out for a bit before you strangle someone here.

This is my favorite Starbucks in the city! Everybody knows my name(just like Cheers) and my order and they never mess up my drink! They’re all smiles, and at 8am, this is not an easy task. I love the Monday-Friday team :)

My guy ordered pretty much the easiest thing possible — two coffees. They forgot to make them. If you can’t fill a cup with coffee, my expectations aren’t too high for anything else on the menu.

When you’re shopping in this massive Macy’s, its nice to have a place to sit, have a drink, and re-energize yourself for more shopping. Starbucks, on Floor 1 ½, is a narrow café serving up the full menu of coffees. My drink was as expected, but the seating was a bit cramped. I understand it is a small area, but I would rather have practical seating rather than a bunch of furniture crammed into one area. I was stepping over people to get back and forth from our table. Another fun tidbit is that Starbucks overlooks the handbag section of Macy’s. A true extreme shopper can use this for a logistical advantage of scouting out the best bags.

I temped for Macy’s in their advertising department for a little while. On my breaks and at lunch sometimes I would go down to the Starbucks on the 1 ½ floor. The people in the morning were always extremely nice! After a while most of the girls knew my drink… a sign I drink a little to much Starbucks! LOL! Over all, this Starbucks gets really crowded because of the heavy traffic flow. Sometimes the workers get frustrated and you can tell they are stressed out, but who wouldn’t be if you always had a line full of people!

Worst Starbuck’s that has ever made my Strawberries & Crème Frapp. How do you not have a lid for my cup? And WHYTHEHELLDOYOUPUTSOMUCHICEINMYSMOOTHIETOMAKEITLOOKSOPALE? Seriously, can I get a «SORRY, we don’t have anymore lids.» instead of «we don’t have anymore lids»? I was literally having my drink as if I asked McDonald’s for an free small cup. The napkins — they look like the ones you pull out of a napkin dispenser in a bathroom, except they’re brown. I’m making myself clear from now on: Never have any food in Macy’s.
