Not sure why this Starbucks get such a bad rap. Ample seating upstairs and reasonably quiet. The coffee is as usual the same. Upstairs good for an impromptu meeting outside the office. Service here is adequate but not great like many Starbucks it is hot or miss. Today went smoothly and no one under filled my black coffee because they decided I need room for milk. Close to South a Street Seaport on water street. Works for me when I’m over here.

World’s worst one. Really. Attitude + speed of service. I rather walk to the one at 99Wall.

The WORST service– rude, unfriendly, and obviously not pleased to work… This is not indicative of the Starbucks brand. Please re-train these cashiers!

Starbucks is Starbucks, tastes pretty much the same everywhere. The only exception is that the staff here are SO friendly. I was able to sample a drink when I was feeling particularly indecisive one day. The lines are pretty long in the morning, so if you want to maximize efficiency, order via the app 5 min beforehand! Though the line can get long, the second floor area is almost never full, so it is possible to grab a seat when you want to take an extended coffee break.

Starbucks is Starbucks doesn’t matter where in the city you go. Positives Ice cold on a sweltering 95 degree day was nice Nice upstairs sitting area THEBIGNEGATIVE Place is dirty in my opinion. I came in the early morning for a cup around 1030-11 and sit upstairs. I come back later for an afternoon pick me up around 330 and sit back upstairs at the long table and to my eyes the table was never cleaned. There was still the same drink and food bag on the table. Now your going to ask how I know it’s the same? Good question. The same business card was still discarded in the drink. So what your telling me starbucks is you never had the time to clean the tables. If you can’t clean the tables your customers use, what does your coffee equipment look like? Is that cleaned?

The food, coffee and teas are standard Starbucks. What I like about this place is the staff! They are always friendly? I love walking in there in the morning, it is a great way to start the day. The place is always clean. I like the separate seating up stairs. I wish there were outlets to plug into but I can live with that.

I come here often to study upstairs. It’s cozy and spacious. No outlets though. There is outdoor seating during the summer. This Starbucks is clean. Service is quick. I find it strange that none of the baristas ever asked for my name when taking my order.

I visited this Starbucks twice in the past month and it is the slowest Starbucks. On the bright side it’s clean and extra seating upstairs.

I really love all of their seating areas, especially the additional upstairs seating, but it’s probably my least favorite Starbucks I’ve been to. I’ve been here multiple times in the past week and a half and it’s always the same two or three people. A couple times only one person was making all of the drinks. For the number of customers, they have too few staff members – you shouldn’t have to wait 15 – 20 minutes for a tall iced coffee. Overall the service is just too slow with no sense I urgency from the baristas to go any faster or reconsider the order in which they make the drinks. I’d feel better about the wait if I felt like the staff was paying more attention to the fact that so many people are waiting.

I really like it when Starbucks has an outdoor seating area, and this one does! The layout here is really different– unless you sit outside, nearly all of the seats are upstairs on a mezzanine level. It’s not immediately apparent, either, because the wall to the mezzanine is pretty high. I didn’t sit up there(but of course curiosity got the best of me and I walked up there) and I don’t think I’d like sitting up here because it is so secluded and there are no windows. HOWEVER if you are one of those people who like studying or working in solitary confinement, this might be a nice option. Aside from loving their outdoor seating area, do you know what else I actually really loved about this location? The zillions of clocks on the wall. One time, this urban sociologist gave a talk to our class about«The Politics of Home»(you can google his book by the same title) and he explained that Starbucks is an interesting chain, because though their products are all the same, each store tries to incorporate a local theme. This is something I had not previously thought about, but after I learned this, I started to keep my eyes open.(It’s true. The one by the Brooklyn Bridge has Brooklyn pictures on the walls, one of them in Chelsea has art on the walls, blah blah.) Anyway, this one has CLOCKS on the walls because of its proximity to that huge clock thing on the side of the building, facing Water Street. Too cool.

Dont usally go to starbucks, but when i get the craving for a vanilla chai I head out to this one since it is right across from my place of 9 – 5. Whenever I go in, its not that crowded. The usual breaktime rush. I have however seen the line outside of the doors. Good thing the craving didn’t hit that day. smh There is also now benches outside. So you could get a nice drink and do some well needed people watching.

This one was really middle-of-the-road! Service was okay, but none of the Starbucks I’ve seen really handles a crowd well… the drink calling is a process and they don’t always get it right. but again, its Starbucks and they always make good on their screw-ups…

Disclaimer: Don’t let my Starbucks check-ins lead you to believe that I endorse their brand or coffee. This location opened near my job and goes to prove that they are completely cannibalistic and as virile as weeds(there’s literally a location on every street: Fulton Street, John Street, Maiden Lane, and Nassau Street). I took advantage of a Living Social deal($ 5 for $ 10) and go with the same thing: Pike Roast with steamed milk(I toss 3 Equals in), Very Berry Coffee Cake, and call it a day. The location is very freakishly small and seems like an appropriate place to play 7 Minutes in Heaven…

This new location opened today and is located right underneath a recognizable landmark clock. There were signs that they still need to finish a few things to be fully operational such as blocking off the area towards the bathroom and not having Wi-Fi yet. I was actually excited that a Starbucks was opening in this location because it’s on my way to the office and gives me an alternative option to Europa. At Starbucks, at least I can earn rewards towards a drink by giving them my business. The space looks deceptively large from the outside because it’s wide, but it’s not very deep with the counter only a few steps from the door. There were stools and counters, but not many tables, if any. It’s the closest Starbucks to South Street Seaport so I’m sure it will pick up quite a bit of touristy business.
