Can I give 0 stars?! This negative review is mostly for the ridiculous appointment scheduling his office staff has. I have made a 3:30pm appt and I show up at 2:00pm and the receptionist doesnt even look up and tells me have a seat the 10:30am appointment has not even been seen yet. That is just ridiculous! Now if this appointment was for me I would just leave and come back another day, but this was for my grandma who can no longer walk and required me to take a day off of work to sit here all day. Why would you squeeze so many people into your daily schedule if you can not possibly see them all in one day? All I ask is you keep to your appointments! I understand if some patients take a lil longer. But at 2:00pm you tell me the 10am appointments havent even been seen yet is just insane and very unprofessional. If this doctor is really as nice and caring as all these other reviewers say he would do his best to keep to the appointment times. As many reviewers said this Dr sees a lot of elderly patients. To sit for 4 hours and more just to wait to see him is just unacceptable. I hope his admin staff wakes up and can schedule appointments in a more acceptable manner.

I guess someone should’ve mentioned to never come in as a walk-in patient. I am not criticizing the care of Dr. Ng but the staff who coordinates the appointments. How is it possible that a patient has to wait 6 hours to finally be seen? A quarter of the day has already passed and could’ve been spent elsewhere doing more productive things. There should definitely be a better system than having patients wait for that long.

Being completely new to New York and suddenly having the need for urgent care, I Unilocaled for a trustworthy doctor. I knew exactly what I had and knew that it would only be a 15 minute ordeal where I could get my prescription and be on my merry way. As a new patient, Dr. Ng was willing to spend time with me to go over my family’s medical history, thoroughly explain my predicament and prescribe the best course of action. He never rushed me in spite of the fact he still had a slew of people in the waiting room. He definitely exceeded my expectations. Not gona lie, I was a little skeptical at first. Most of Dr. Ng’s patients are the elderly and I wasn’t sure he was the right doctor for me. However, Dr. Ng is understanding, knowledgeable(Yale graduate!), and genuinely cares about his patients. The only downside was that the wait was about 2 hours. Considering I was in pain the entire time, that was no fun to say the least. But since I didn’t have an appointment, the staff did their best to squeeze me in. Also, his charges are very reasonable… I didn’t have insurance and paid by cash… was under $ 100.

The best doctor i’ve had. He spends a lot of time with me listening to my concerns and giving me proper treatment. He also accepts phone calls whenever you call him in his office.

There’s very little coincidence as to why Dr. Stanley Ng has been my personal care physician since I was 5. For starters, Dr. Ng has aided and cured almost every physical ailment I’ve come under during my tenure in this world. Whether it be a minor cold, or a horrid case of the flu, Dr. Ng has been there to given professional medical advice and prescriptions to aid in a speedy recovery. The usual appointment for Dr. Ng goes like this… Appointment Time: 10:00am Arrive @ 10:00am — Chun: «Hi, 10:00am for Dr. Ng» — Nurse: «Sure, please have a seat.» Proceed to wait in the waiting room. Approximately 2 Hours Later… — Nurse: «Chun, the Dr. will see you now…» Into one of three examination room(aka, waiting room number 2) Approximately 20 Minutes Later… Dr. Ng: «Hi Chun, Great to see you again! Have you gained/lost weight(as weight fluctuations is a seasonal thing for me)? So… What’s wrong?» The entire sit down time with Dr. Ng goes anywhere from 30 – 45 minutes. There’s never any rush to get you out of his office as Dr. Ng has always been the type to sit with you to understand your ailments to give the proper diagnosis. In addition, he takes the extra step in giving preventative measures on how to avoid such future related susceptibility. All in all, good personal care physicians are hard to find. I’ve heard horror stories about doctors that won’t prescribe medication when a patient requires it, or ones that don’t listen to detail so they misdiagnosis an ailment, etc… Just to show, when you find a good thing, stick with it. In this case, I found a great doctor and in all likelihood, he’ll be my PCP until he retires.
