The worst of the worst!!! I’ve never seen or eaten such horrible food!!! Four of us went on our lunch hour, only after the wait was too long at 3 other real restaurants. I ordered a turkey burger. It’s a diner so a burger, right? It came out and we were ALL horrified at the sight of it. It was shaped like liver — not round like a burger — it was light brown and gray and it giggled when you moved the plate(!) It truly looked like some kind of organ meat or something, definitely not a turkey burger. I gave it back to the waiter and said I couldn’t even look at it, sorry, and I explained why. My 3 friends had their meals. I ordered an omelet instead. Delivery took 30MINUTES!!! What!!! For an omelette despite the fact that the other guests were already served. It was mediocre at best and nothing to it. I requested a to go container when he finally brought it, along with the check. I finished this little nothing by the time he came back. Oh, and they charged us for the turkey burger with a separate additional charge for fries. We had to go inside to get that corrected. PS, 1.5 hours for a terrible lunch that they tried to scam extra charges. Stay AWAY!!!

The guy who works there was rude and aggressive. He did not care much for his Job, but why des he have to be so rude to customers. I only wanted to have breakfeast and relaxe for an hour. The food was also tasteless. Worst diner experience I ever had.

Ambiance: divey-cute. Food: standard diner fare. Service: HOLYLORD, the fastest of our entire trip. Our food came within five minutes after we ordered. I eventually got the sense that they were hustling us out the door(they took our dishes as soon as they were empty and our syrup as soon as my husband’s French toast was gone). That seemed odd, considering it wasn’t especially busy; we went around 10 on a Saturday morning, and there were plenty of empty tables. But whatever, it was fast and reasonably tasty.

Average to good food. Nice staff. Great location. Good omelette and pancakes. Chili was just ok. Bacon kind of dry.

Stumbled upon this place while looking for a new place to eat with my girls friend. She wanted happy hour and I wanted dinner and this was a happy medium for us — a win win. They not only served diner food but the place also happened to have a full bar. I enjoyed by Salmon Benedict for dinner and my friend enjoyed her Pasta with a glass of wine. The sever was great.

This is a good spot for a quick meal. We dropped by because we wanted breakfast. Very small place. The service is fast and quick. Food came out pretty quickly. The eggs and bacon were standard. People are friendly. Don’t expect a top-notch dining experience. It’s good for a simple meal. I have had better breakfast at other diners but since this area lacks diners, Square will do.

This Diner is really old skool no debit or credit cards, cash only so be prepared!!! Which is why this is my second time returning because I only had cards on me. Since Unilocal was able to help my order my food(Bison Burger, cheddar cheese, sautéed mushrooms with sweet potato fries) were the bomb. Burger was made to order medium well which came out perfect and the order came with a side of cole slaw which surprised me. My only complaint was I didn’t get enough sweet potato fries to match this awesome burger, but in all this was amaze-balls.

Two stars, and here’s why: — The food itself was average, perhaps slightly above average because it was 3pm and I was famished from not having anything else to eat all day. I ordered a chicken salad platter with extra jalapeños — my friends ordered various other entrees, including the Reuben platter and the lumberjack breakfast special. What I will say is that the portions were all huge. — However, one pro: the prices are reasonable, especially given that the place is in TriBeCa. — The service was deplorable. Our server didn’t bring out cutlery for half the table; we had to ask after an uncomfortably long period of time passed, and it became clear he wasn’t going to do it on his own. Again, we had to ask him to fill up the water. He barked at my friend who wanted to make a substitution(no need to raise your voice, bro!) and was very rude when he told us the diner was closing and he had to leave… I would probably not go back here — unless I were starving and there were no other food in sight.

Stopped in for breakfast. Great food, excellent service. We had a Spanish omelette and ranchero omelette. Perfect portion sizes. Cooked just right. We will be back.

Not bad. Super cute décor, looks like an old train car turned into a diner! Service was good — the guy serving us HATED us at first and was giving us the worst attitude, but then something happened and he loved us and was really nice. Perhaps he remembered that this was his job and we were customers and he should at least fake it. But whatever. Food was nothing special. Mostly the best part of this place is the décor, and that it’s a block away from Taylor Swift’s house so that’s why we were even there.

Cash only!!! Last time I checked this was the 21st century. Of course I didn’t know it was cash only until I go to pay. Then they have THEIRATM that charges a fee along with my banks fee. My basic ham and cheese omelet with large orange juice turned into a $ 30 meal. 18.50 bill, 3.00 tip, 2.00 their atm fee, 5.00 personal bank fee. They also had a extra $ 2.00 charge for cheddar cheese for my ham and cheese omelet. It was removed when I complained. Finally the food wasn’t anything special, omelet was runny. Save your money and ATM fees and go to one of the other diners in the area.

Diner is nice and cozy. Staff is super friendly and accommodating though it is cash only. Food came fast — I ordered the special chicken salad sandwich to go with a side of fries. Fries were thicker and very good. The helping was substantial. Chicken salad was okay. Bread was oily from grill and cheese wasn’t really melted. I’d come back and try something else since it’s one of the better diners in the area as one of the cheaper options.

It was a snowy snowy day. Very windy, and cold. No matter where you are, this isn’t enjoyable. However, it is that much worse in NYC. However, it is close to Tswift’s apartment, so any excuse to go to this area of town I can’t pass up. I went to meet up with Gster’s best friends fiancé. She told me that it was like«Bob’s», which is the hole in the wall, horrible, diner in Gster’s home town. However, it kind of fit the mood for a snowy day. Walking in, I would agree it is a hole in the wall diner. There is very limited seating, its basically a trailor, and its very small and cramped. Half the people looked like they parked themselves here in 1965 and never got up. However, given this is NYC, this type of setting is rare. The décor is unique, with crazy old fashioned wood paneling. .everywhere, and old memorabilia/signs. The food was OK. It wasn’t the best, it wasn’t any better than IHOP, but it didn’t taste gross. The price was right, however, mental note that it is cash only. i wouldn’t go out of my way to go here, i wouldn’t trek across town mid snowstorm for this. but for something fast and cheap, it serves its purpose. It also transcends you out of NYC and into the 60’s.

Went here the morning after we half-marathoned Netflix’s Daredevil series.(it was in a scene and we yelled at recognition). Food was good… but TBH for a diner, pricey. but TBH, Tribeca. OH, the drip was surprisingly REALLY good.

Square Diner is a classic small Greek diner. Established in 1922, the Square Diner is a narrow space and feels like you are eating in a train car. Cash only and affordable.

Not the best experience ive had, seeing as how I went about three weeks ago I had difficulty remembering this place. I attend law school in the area so I decided to stop by with my friend because we were hungry. It is SMALL. An uncomfortable small actually. There are probably 12 booths, a few of them only for 2 people(with a huge bar under the table so forget being comfortable while eating) The food is okay, nothing spectacular. The food was a little pricey but its Tribeca what can you expect. Their orange juice was fresh. Even though its across the street from my school it is unlikely that I return.

Their wraps are good. I especially like to customize my own, usually with grilled chicken, avocado, mushrooms and onions. The chicken is always nicely cooked, juicy and tender. Their cole slaw is also pretty good(add pepper though). Onion rings are solid. Chicken salad is light on mayo which is nice, you can really taste the chicken. Their Greek salad is massive. Great omelets! I know I’ve said it about other places in the area, but this little greasy spoon does a better omelet than Walkers– trufax. Chicken soup is also good. As long as you don’t get too adventurous and stick to diner staples, you’ll be happy. The service is also nice too.

Achtung: Nur Cash!
