Do not go to these place because they will STEAL from you!!! My friend and I went there for dinner, food was good. When we got the check, we didn’t notice they put 18% gratuity on it, for just two people! Restaurants in NYC usually put gratuity in if there’s a party of 5 or more. Not expecting it, my friend and I didn’t notice and tipped on top of that. Today, after going through my bank account and noticed they took another $ 4 from me. I called my friend, she checked her account and realized they took $ 3 more from her. I called, asked for the manager and the explanation, no explanation or apology was given for the fact that they took extra money. When I asked about including gratuity, the manager said that the computer does that automatically and they have to manually remove it before printing it. Sure!!! No excuse or apology on how come they overcharged both me and my friend. Coincidence? I don’t think so. The manager took my card info and said they’d return the extra $ 4 they took. On top of that, my friend went there the next day and they did the exact same thing again!!! I’m never going there again!

My sister in law and myself stumbled upon Spice one night while shopping. Famished, it didn’t take long for us to make up our mind and order! She decided on the drunken noodles and I decided on the Pad Thai with shrimp. The drunken noodles were served in this little pot type thing, which was pretty cool and the pad Thai, had a nice helping of shrimp! Very reasonably priced, cool atmosphere and fast service. Enjoy! Don’t forget to check out the bathrooms! Quite interesting!

A very mediocre Thai restaurant. Have had MUCH better in New York. It looks super trendy and chic from the outside, but it seems to all be somewhat of a façade, because the actual quality of the restaurant doesn’t really live up to the hype. Curry was truly ‘A-OK’ and the service was way too quick and pushy. It seems the majority of the people who frequent this restaurant simply order through Seamless, because we were one of 2 parties there. Time of year/day of the week — who knows? But it was kind of odd. One redeeming quality: the 1-way mirror in the bathrooms. Always trippy!

Fancy upscale decorated setting but poor service. I waited 15 min to finally have the waitress notice me and take my order. My food arrived in about 15min. I ordered the vegetable pad thai and shrimp fritters. The pad thai had too much sauce. However, the shrimp fritters were pretty good. Overall, it was not bad but could have received better service!

I was once a semi-regular customer at Spice Soho. NOTANYMORE. Spice Soho has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. In the past I’ve had some trouble with receiving my order on time, so I would pickup my order. When I did do delivery, I’d try to place my order early(by around noon) so I could get it at a reasonable time. Today I wanted to have my order delivered. I know that they have 1 hour plus wait time for delivery, so I placed my order at 12:50 pm, so it could hopefully arrive at 1:30. Alas, the email said I’d receive my order between 2:00 pm and 2:10 pm. Fine. 2:10 comes and goes, so I call Spice. They ask for my name and number and put me on hold for 5 minutes. They said they’re behind and it’d be another 15 minutes for my order to arrive. I told them how early I had ordered and expected to receive my order at a reasonable time. I was then placed on hold for about another 10 minutes. Then a woman comes on the phone and tells me that they never received my order. They said they’d have to place another order and I’d have to wait yet another 15 minutes for my order to arrive. She said she’d give me 50% off my meal for waiting so long, but that’s honestly not enough. It had been almost 2 hours since I placed my order. She said she was going to place another order for me and I was about to continue our conversation when she hung up on me. I and the rest of my co-workers have ordered from here several times in the past. We don’t plan on ordering from here again. It’s not worth the waste of time. No business should treat it’s customers like this.

Toilets(sorry bathroom) are most memorable thing about this meal. One way glass! Facing the dining room! Nobody can see you, but you can see them from inside! I’ll go back just for that. Food, a-ok, green curry with chicken was tasty enough. Cheap and cheery(in a good way)

This location used to be WAY better. I believe they got a new chef in September. Used to have my favorite Panang curry in the city and it’s honestly terrible now :(That doesn’t mean there aren’t other good dishes but I’m too disappointed to bother trying anything else.

I’m a sucker for Thai food and usually order the same appetizers and entrée such as curry puff and chicken with basil/white rice. I’d always go to the Spice located in Union Square, but decided to tried them out in Soho as well. As expected, I was satisfied with the quality of the food and services. The restaurant itself stands out inside with this vintage kinda look. Very cool and hip for the Soho. Not far from the E/C trains as well as cross town buses. We also tried their mango and lychee martini’s. Delicious and stiff! For dinner for two on a Friday evening, it was quite affordable in a relaxing environment. The bathrooms were see through and you can actually see folks from the inside. I thought that was cute! We’d definitely stop by for lunch, should we be in Soho in the future.

Usually it’s the service that does it for me for a restaurant. In this case, it was the food. The Tom Yum was too salty and almost inedible. It was also too sour and not spicy at all. Also, the dish I ordered, holy basil chicken, was also really salty and mushy. Not very good flavor or texture. I think they didn’t treat the holy basil properly: the basil flavor wasn’t very good or apparent, and there wasn’t a nice aroma associated with it either. Basically, not very edible. Sorry, try again next time. Except not for me.

Worst service ever. Not once, not twice, Everytime. I ordered panang curry with Thai ice tea for lunch, to go. And I had to wait more than 45 minutes for it. Once I got my food, I reach back to work and when I open the box, the rice box is empty. I called them again, and they said they will deliver it to me with in 5 minutes. I waited for another 30 minutes and I never received a box of rice. When I called them again, the guy puts me on hold for another 15 minutes just to double check. If you really want to waste your time and money. I would recommend you to definitely go to this place.

I really like the food here, the green curry lunch special is my go to. But they are understaffed to the point where regular lunch special orders cannot come out in time for your lunch break. I tried calling in advance for a pick up, and they kept me on hold for almost 10 minutes, twice. I decided to go there and ordered my food instead. I waited 30 minutes. Get your — — - — together, Spice!

The service here is horrible. The hostess barely greets you before placing his hand in a motion as if to shoo you away. Then, when seated you’re brought over water and menus; normal right? My date and I sat there for about 15 minutes without a soul acknowledging us until finally a server. «what were you having?» Um, OK. Hi. Ugh. You’re not going to introduce yourself or apologize for Keeping us waiting? Then our food and drinks, forget about it! 30 minutes for both to hit the table. This is already a 45 minute dining experience and I’ve only been guzzling water. Now onto the food, I got the chicken pad Thai which was drenched in peanut sauced and boiled in sugar or something because it was so sweet. I also ordered a mango margarita which was all juice not even a hint of alcohol. When we were done with everything someone cleaned our table and the check was brought over. Maybe I wanted dessert assholes. Never will I return.

Not only was the food irresistible, but the restroom, equipped with one-way glass, allows you to watch other patrons while you’re doing your business. Just the bathroom alone merited giving this place a five star Unilocal eulogy. In addition, the name of the restaurant is actually completely appropriate! If you get out of the bathroom, you will get opportunities to experience some spice. The penang chicken was quite nourishing. Order extra spicy, if you prefer spicy food. The best part was, immigrating into the dining area was a piece of cake. The border officials didn’t detain us, let alone ask us for documents. They greeted us with the warmest smiles and gestured towards the comfortable, butt-caressing seats. We had a great time thanks to the hospitality of these people and their unique bathroom.

The smallest spice location I have been to so far. I noticed the portions here are slightly smaller then you would get elsewhere, and it’s the same price. That is a major downside. Because this is a chain and I have one by where I live and the portions are bigger here I wouldn’t come to the city location again.

Inexpensive, delicious Thai food. Sometimes it’s difficult to find cheap places to eat in SoHo, but this is one of the few. Their massaman curry and mock duck dishes are fantastic! Their music makes it seem like you’re at upscale lounge or low key club. They have small TVs playing silent movies in the bathroom and two-way mirrors for walls… it’s unique.

The best thing about this place is the cool toilet. The quality of the food is very poor. I ordered the ribs to begin and I nearly lost my appetite for my entrée. There was barely any meat on them, they were clearly deep fried, greasy and covered in a sticky BBQ sauce. My entrée was described as slow roasted home-style panang curry. The meat was so tough that I couldn’t eat it. I left half behind. Very disappointing. Never again.

I came here on June 24th with a group to celebrate my friend’s birthday. It had amazing ambiance and everything looked top notch. I had a mixed opinion about the bathroom. The walls were built so that while you are in the bathroom, you can see everything that’s going on outside from the transparency– and at the same time, no one outside can see what you are doing. I thought that was a cool feature. But I was disappointed by how dark the bathroom was. What if I accidentally slipped on a banana inside because I couldn’t see anything? What if there was a giant puddle on the floor and I stepped on it because I couldn’t see anything? I ordered the Thai Volcanic Chicken; I heard from my friends that they would light it on fire in front of us. They hyped it up immensely and when the time came, I had my phone camera out and ready to record. I was underwhelmed by how the fire looked though. The chicken itself was pretty bad, in my opinion, and not worth it. Luckily, our group had fun people and we had a blast. Many of my friends ordered Thai iced tea and I believe they enjoyed theirs. But based on my own experience with the food, I will have to give this location two stars. I will not be returning here again, unless one of my friends in the future decides to have his/her birthday celebration here for whatever reason.

The price is right, even for Gringo Thai food. You can have a lunch special with free appetizer, and be out the door for $ 10 or $ 11. However, the last time we came the service was very slow and then the GM melted down and yelled at an employee in front of everyone in the restaurant. Oh well. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Try asking for less sugar in stir fries. They load it up because people can’t tolerate the pungent flavors of real thai cooking. We will try it one more time and if the service is poor again /another meltdown occurs, it’ll be removed from our rotation.

My friends and I(party of 11) came here one Wednesday evening at about 9:30 for a dinner celebration. To our surprise, the restaurant was pretty much empty except for a few other patrons dining. I started off with the char grilled chicken with a Thai iced tea. While my friends got other various dishes such as the volcano chicken, shrimp pad Thai and fried calamari. The food took about 20 – 25 minutes to come. The char grilled chicken was a bit on the dry side for my taste. The green Papaya salad was a bit spicy and sour. The sticky coconut rice that it came with was good though. I later ordered another Thai iced tea about half an hour later because it was that good! Overall, my dining experience here was decent and I would return in the future. The place felt like it needed more lighting… but the restrooms were cool though!

My favorite spot in Soho. Don’t miss happy hour if you want a seat be there before 6pm. It gets really busy. The specials are until 7pm and there is always a good selection of cocktails, white and red wines to choose from and you’ll always get a good pour. Everything is delicious. Time seems to move really fast inside hours go by very quickly and you are guaranteed to make many new friends from the bartender’s connection. Overall a happy place that plays good music and could be the backdrop to a fun night. Check out this place on the weeknight. You will definitely have a great time.

I used to love Peep and was so apprehensive about coming to Spice seeing how awful the reviews were!!! However, I was on a tight schedule and wanted to take my guest for Thai food before our next meeting. I ordered the drunken shrimp noodles and my friend had the massaman curry w rice. All of it was pretty standard thai fare, no better no worse. Service was good and the décor is just like Peep.
