After 1 hour and ½ no food and they claimed Seemless never sent the order. I had all my confirmations. Never order from any Spice in NYC. Last time my order was cancelled.

The chicken pad Thai was very tasty, though also on the salty side. The pad Thai fried rice was very good. The massaman beef curry was inedible(the potatoes were hard, the beef really chewy and the sauce was watery and just not good). The service was absolutely awful. The only waiter working was busy preparing seamless orders in the back and the hostess just could not be bothered, which really surprised me, considering how many other restaurants there are in the neighborhood… You would think they would try to be on point with customer service in order to get one to come back, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

The best drunken noodles you will ever have. Period. I’ve had drunken noodles(pad ki mao) in loads of places, but Spice just does it better. I live in New Jersey, but I will come out of my way to have that drunken noodle. I fell in love with Spice since the mid-2000s.

Came here during midday on a Friday. Ordered the lunch special pad thai, with no tofu. The noodles were okay but they didn’t take out the tofu. The waitress had the nerve to complain that the tip she was given was«not even 10%», when in fact it was 15%, not to mention that my dish was not what I asked for… I’ve never had a waiter complain about their tip, especially when they messed up the order! Save yourself the stress and go to café thai across the street.

Upper management and lower management really need to get a feel for the servers they hire. I was confronted by the waitress who I only saw once throughout my dining experience and asked me why I only tipped 10%. I couldn’t believe that she even had the nerve to ask that while I was with my girlfriend. The service wasn’t great, and that’s why I felt they only deserved 10%. When I let her finish her rant, I sternly told her that I’m not tipping any higher amount and that’s what she’s getting. She then went on a rant and said that this is the only way for her to «make a living». Yes, that’s exactly what she said. I honestly despise the fact that tipping is automatically assumed and not earned. I’m sorry, but I only tip when I feel I’m getting exceptional service, and she was lucky that I didn’t take off the tip for creating such a rude atmosphere. When I was a server I always appreciated tips, I never saw it as a way to make a living. Think about it, if I had tipped even 20% she wouldn’t say thank you or be appreciative. Hands down WORSTEXPERIENCEEVER. When I confronted the manager he was giving me his whole life story on how 2 other managers quit and how other workers are quitting too, and even started to ask me if my dining experience was good and even started to ask me why I didn’t tip the normal 15−20%. I mean come on… If we live in a society that servers should get tipped just for doing their job, then why don’t McDonald’s workers get tipped? If the server needs to make a living and serving is all she has, then find another job that can meet your financial needs!!! I’m sorry, I don’t see that as an excuse, this is completely unacceptable!!! So in short, if you’re trying to make a good first impression with your date by taking her to a Thai restaurant, beware!!!

When my husband and I have a hankering for Thai food we usually go to this place since we like the food a lot here. I usually get the basil beef which is so good. As for appetizers which try different items on the menu when we come here. The service and waitstaff is great and the prices are very reasonable. There are so many locations for this restaurants which a few closed but we come back to the same location since we are familiar with it. It’s not easy to find a good Thai place here in NY.

Do not come here! Terrible customer service! I went there to have dinner with my best friend and they wouldn’t open the door for us although we were 10 minutes early! We didn’t have a proper greeting when they opened the door for us. The owner(i believe it is) didn’t even put us on a table. How rude! When she saw a white lady coming in and asking for take out she guided her to a table instead of asking us what we would like to drink. How racist! 1 star because the waitress that we had was nice and served us! Also, the food wasn’t good besides the walnut shrimp. Definitely, a waste of my time walking there and eating garbage! I do not recommend anyone to come here besides the one on 14th Street.

I love their wings and Shrimp Drunk man Noodles, I think they make the best Thai food in NYC, their food is large portions, and the price is very decent, especially their lunch deals, you get 1 appetizer and 1 entrée under $ 10 is excellent. The tamarind wings are the best I feel like I could eat that all day, very good, service is very good also and love their bottle sodas, very cute. I would definitely recommend this place.

Really bad /strange service. I ordered the Siam Buns and they were delivered to me half prepared. The order had the meat and bun, but not any of the vegetables that were supposed to go inside(my favourite part.) So I called the restaurant and told them that my order came half prepared. I expected them to be embarrassed, but the woman seemed more annoyed that I would ask them to re-deliver the full dish(of which I payed for!!!) When the(very nice) delivery guy came, he asked me to return the first order. I was pretty gobsmacked. She had never said anything about returning the dish, and why would she? To give it to another customer? Anyway, I had already given it to my roommate so I couldn’t do that. Then something even weirder, she left me a note on the menu! She had crossed out her spice location, and then circled the Soho Spice telling me to go there next time. Haha, who does that?! So weird.

I am a big fan of the fact that an authentic cuisine stays true to its colors, and spice dose just that. Even though I did not get the chance to explore all the menu I can say that as an appetizer the sauté chicken is great and the peanut sauce is just right. The drunk man noodles are thick and spicy just as they should be. The service at this specific location is very good with high customer awareness in mind. It is a pretty busy place kept clean.

Really cool modern place but it’s very laid back. The foods amazing. Pad Thai is killer and their lunch special is a great deal

Love it! Laid back, cool vibe in the East Village. Just«happened in» on a Friday evening when most places in the neighborhood are jammed. It was busy, but plenty of room. Service was friendly, but with a focus on efficient(«I want dinner, not a log-term relationship!»). Food was fresh, well prepared and inventive. I’ll chalk up my first visit to luck — my next will be by design!

Food was perfect. I got the Geyser shrimp clay pot and their ToFu Pad Thai. Both were amazing! It took a little long for us to get service but it was probably because it was very busy. But it was fine because the waitress was very apologetic about it and kind too. Love to come again!

Their pork dish is so good! One of the more juicy pieces I’ve had at a restaurant, also had pad thai, also not bad, yellow curry, very good. Tried the thai iced tea, it was ok~. Service was very good, friendly, def. Good for large groups

Eh. I ate here once last year and the food was mediocre compared to the Spice in Union Square. It was bland and wasn’t that great. This restaurant is always empty too, so that should be a red flag. I came back here last week to order take out because I hadn’t eaten all day and was around the St. Marks area. Didn’t want to walk to Union Square because I felt so fatigue, and I thought it couldn’t be that bad right? I got the Drunken Noodle and it tasted so bland and gross. Not to mention that I found a piece of hair in my food… double gross. Never ever going back here again.

I had the Volcanic Chicken, the Lychee Martini and the Shrimp cocktail on my first visit here. I’m usually not used to having Thai cuisines, but the bitterness of the vegetables in the Volcanic Chicken dish caught me by surprise. The service here was mediocre, even though I had to remind my waitress about an half an hour later about my order.

A great place for Thai food with too much salt and sugar. Like your noodles over-cooked? Perfect. There are so many truly great Thai restaurants in the city there isn’t a reason to come here. Except maybe laziness. It was a good restaurant when when they had a single place but the decline in quality has matched their aggressive expansion across the city. The best thing they have to offer is Beer Lao, Dark.

Looking for a place to eat outside on a sunny day. We settled on Spice and I can’t complain. For lunch you get a free appetizer with your entrée, and the entrees are mostly priced at $ 9 or $ 10. Kind of a great deal. The food was good, too. I had duck rolls for an appetizer and roast chicken for lunch. I wouldn’t hesitate to head back here if I was in the area for lunch.

Came here for dinner with a friend. Thai tea was good but a bit too sweet. Appetizer — Spice Crispy Calamari(Loved it!) Main — 6 o’ clock train spicy fried rice(yummy, but wasn’t amazing.) My friend had eggplant w/beef. There was barely any eggplant though. Still a fan though! Would come back for something new!

So a chain gets to be my 500th review, huh? Food chains are kind of my enemy. They take the«i» out of unique and independent. If there’s like 10 of the same place all over town, I’m not going in there because they must be overrated and overrated leads to bad quality. *cough* Magnolia *cough* I came here for a friend’s birthday and while I wasn’t too pleased with the idea of going to a chain, I can’t complain at all. Maybe I have been too spoiled by the amazingly good Pad Thai at I Am Thai near home, so I always feel as if the pad thai at these other places are bland and whatever remarks I can throw at them. Then again, it’s the only dish I get when I’m at a Thai restaurant; I’m boring. I nearly drooled when my beef pad thai sat before me; I sensed its tastiness. It was really good… REALLY good. It was not dried out, which seems to be the case for most Thai places, and there was mild flavoring. Some of my friends ordered as I did and they loved it as well; I know I’m a trendsetter. you don’t have to tell me! The strange thing is that the people I was sandwiched in between ordered the same exact dish as I did and they both were the last ones to get their food. Weird presentation, though. This inside is pretty gorgeous with a low-lit candle setting and I love the bench tables. Probably not ideal if you’re a lady and wears dresses.
