I had a facial here and it was definitely one of the best. The facial didn’t miss a thing like my usual NYC facials. The place had a great atmosphere. The receptionist was friendly. The facial was relaxing, with a great massages. The extractions were incredibly thorough! My face feels so claen. And, instead of selling their products, I received samples to try. I appreciated the advice and concern for my skin and will definitely return!

I am a new gym member and decided to take advantage of the 25% off first time spa service offer and opted for the Spa H Signature Facial. The waiting area was really nice and lovely — plush seating, soft music, the smell of spa… there was fruited water, green tea, fruit and cheese and crackers. It’s true, there are no robes or slippers, but there is a plush terry wrap that you put on and it has snaps so it is secure. Then you get into the bed, it is comfy, and it is adjustable like the craftmatic, and it is heated! That was awesome. I explained to my facial specialist that I had really sensitive skin, so not to go too crazy with the extractions. She totally listened to me and decided to focus on a healing regimen. Everything she put on my face smelled amazing — pear and apple soufflé, sour cherry moisturizer, blackberry tonic and they are all organic. She also massaged my shoulders often. There was 10 minutes in there where typically the therapist would put on a masque and leave the room… instead she never left and gave me a hand and arm massage instead. It was amazing! What I liked about this place(other than convenience, and really, I could make a whole spa day out of it with Sauna and Steam bath and work out and everything) is that they don’t push you to upgrade your treatment with special masks and all this and that. I would definitely go again!

So granted it was massage week, and only cost $ 50… but my back STILL hurts from that bad massage. I belong to the gym here as well, and had high hopes for a cheap, good massage — boy was I wrong. If you’re in a bind, I guess you should try it yourself, but if you have another option — take it.

I’m a new gym member– and it came with a credit to the spa. So last night I went in for an eyebrow wax. I was in a rush to make a dinner reservation and they fit me in right away and had me out in time. The wax was very nice, and the cosmetician took her time and made sure everything was perfect. Next a massage!

I’ve only been there once, and I’m not certainly not going back any time soon! It was a great move of Club H to open their own in-house day spa… it puts them on a new level of fitness clubs such as Equinox; HOWEVER, they have yet to master what a true day spa should feel like! The spa itself looks and feels like a spa. The soft lighting, relaxing music, earth-colored painted walls, and lots of wood, help create the ambiance of a spa. The problem is fortunately fixable! …the staff including the massage-therapists do not take the spa seriously. They speak loudly, walk loudly, and always seem to be in a rush. Everyone there should wear terrycloth slippers to reduce noise, and speak in low tone, if not whisper. The music should be well-balanced(not too loud, not too quiet). The massage-therapist that I had could’ve been great if she had A) cut her nails short so that she didn’t stab during my massage, and B) slowed down her pace a little bit… the massage felt rushed, which did not allow me to fully relax. I truly hope management takes a good look at the spa situation, and fixes all of those little problems. A spa should feel like you’re on a beach or somewhere far away… it certainly shouldn’t feel like you’re in Times Square!

I’m a Club H member so I decided to try out the spa and get a massage. I was pleasantly surprised once I was brought into the back room– there was a spacious, tranquil seating area where they gave me a complimentary foot soak and some of their own, specially blended tea. The décor was very nice and luxurious, not what I thought it would be for a spa inside of a gym. The masseuse was extremely friendly and was sure to find out any special needs I had. The massage itself was great– only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 is because I’ve had the same quality massage for a bit cheaper– however the ambiance and service more than makes up for the difference in price.

Been here twice now for 60 minute massages. You don’t have to be a gym member to go. Reasonably priced for the area and the therapists are good, however the space does not seem to have been well conceptualized. Upon arriving you are seated in the waiting area and offered water. They say they have snacks, but I have yet to see any. The space isn’t terribly soundproof and some of the employees(front desk types) wear loud heels. They also don’t offer you the robe and slippers, but instead have you get naked in the treatment room and get under the covers. Not the end of the world, but takes away from the relaxing aspect and also makes your clothes greasy as you get dressed immediately after. The massage beds are cool. Heated and they move, like the craftmatic adjustable beds. There is only one bathroom. For one person with a shower in there. So if someone is showering, you have to hold it.
