Sade Milinda Studio

I went to Sade for the first time this past Friday, 1÷8÷2016. My sister recommended her to me and I feel like she dropped a blessing into my life!
I had my hair in braids for 2 years and was so afraid of what my experience would be going back to a relaxer because I have tightly coiled 4c hair and a very sensitive scalp. I had nightmares of a half-​permed head because I wouldn’t last. Sade is a miracle worker! I have burned with every other stylist even when they said they were using no-​lye. No burning on a full relaxer! And I got exactly the cut I wanted. My husband and two boys are still marvelling over how soft and straight my hair is!
On top of being a great stylist, Sade listens to your needs. She gave great tips on taking care of my hair at home. She made me feel like it was all about me. Oh yeah, the best part is all of this was done in about 1 hour 45 minutes! What!!! Sadly, this is unheard of in Black haircare. I will be coming from NJ to see Sade for as long as she is in business!

Finding Sade has been nothing short of a true blessing. My visit at Sade Milinda has been by far the best experience I have had at a salon (and I have been to quite a few). Sade is incredibly professional and knowledgeable about all things hair. During my visit, Sade took the time to ask about my hair history, the products I used and where I wanted to go with my hair. She helped me decide that I needed a trim to remove all of my dead, split, ends. However, please, please, please don’t be afraid if she suggests a trim or cut! Sade is not scissor happy and I was literally able to keep almost all of my length. She washed, added layers and curled my hair and when everything was done, my hair looked & felt 100% more healthier than when I went in. Sade even gave me some great tips about what I should do to maintain the healthiness of my hair between visits. (She’s amazing!)
Overall, I really can’t say enough good things about Sade Milinda. If you are on the fence about going, take my word and look at all the other reviewers! Sade and her assistant, Danielle are so warm and approachable. There really isn’t a better team to care for your hair all while making you feel and look beautiful.

When you leave here you feel like a brand new person. Sade makes you feel like a million bucks. The best salon experience I have ever had!!! All should experience. She caters to all of her clients. You always feel like her top priority.

How you treat your hair says a lot however, how it’s treated while you’re in Sade Milinda’s studio speaks mounds! I have Unilocaled Sade before however this time it’s under a different set of circumstances-​She owns this Luxe Studio! She has worked under very well regarded stylist (Ted Gibson and Edris) in NYC whom I’ve reviewed in the past. But today is a new ball game or better yet a new Scandal season! Without being wordy (work still in progress) I will give you a Sade Milinda Studio experience in a nutshell. I have a tight schedule however I love the feeling of being catered too. In other words I’m the «always in a rush but don’t you rush me» client! She is so good at relaxing you, getting your hair the attention it deserves/​needs and then allowing you to make it to whatever you had scheduled; a business meeting, auditions (in my case), gala event, whomever you need to do a double take. Her assistant Danielle is a perfect cherry on top. She allowed me to want for nothing. The thought of thirst never came to me because as I entered I was offered tea, water and or wine. It was lovely! The transition from being washed to being blown out was seamless. It is very much possible at Sade Milinda’s Studio to go from 0 to 100. Go from «girl no» to «oh Yesss» without the long waits is what her brand seems to be about. Looking forward to my next visit!!! Thanks Sade for my «Oh Yesss»!! And FYI I am a natural client and my hair has not suffered from heat damage and or hair thinning.

Sade Milinda studio was a great experience. She has been my stylist for over 7 years and I would not let anyone else touch my hair. Her new studio is chic and intimate. It makes you feel like you have your own personal stylist. I just left getting my hair blown out and curled. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a upbeat and efficient stylist who will have you leaving looking like a movie star!
