Best place for lunch or a quick bite on the go! Friendly staff and delicious food! Love the chicken parm there!

This is 1 of the worst places I have ever been to. The customer service was horrible. How can places like this survive? There should be shoppers that test the establishment and if they fall beneath a certain rating, there should be consequences. I will tell everyone I know not to give this place money because they clearly do not appreciate it.

Mixed bag of food items here including pizza, sandwiches/paninis, salads and various hot foods. The staff is fine. There are benches outside the perimeter that you can sit on and a downstairs seating area where you can hang out and eat. They additionally have the restroom upstairs in the back. I agree that this place isn’t the first place that I would go to, but it’s convenient if you want to grab a quick bite in a place that has a variety of food you can choose from and an area you can actually sit down.

Wasn’t a café feel at all. Staff had no manners not do they bother cleaning. Descent slice but I would have never picked if I wasn’t starving.

This place is dirty, overpriced and the employees are rude! If I could give zero stars, I would. I bought something, went downstairs to their ‘dining room’(which is like a sauna) to put down my stuff then proceed back upstairs to use the restroom. The girl behind the plastic border: ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait– stop right there where do you think you’re going?‘ Me: ‘Umm, I just wanted to use the restroom, it’s this way right?‘ Girl: ‘Show me your receipt’ (tbh, I had no idea what she was saying) Me: ‘I’m sorry can you please repeat that?‘ Girl: ‘I need to see your receipt! Then you can go to the bathroom!‘ All that nonsense when I’m a paying customer? Nonetheless it was the most disgusting bathroom I’ve ever seen & it was guarded like treasure. I know where I’m not spending my money ever again.

Only if you’re in a hurry should you ever stop here. Food? Big selection but everything is old and tired. Had a panini that was ver dry and burned to boot.

Tied with Port Authority for New York hell. If you fancy rotten food, tourist mobs, and bathrooms that resemble rundown public pool locker rooms, look no further. I’d have words about the service as well, but I’d be pretty miserable if I spent 8 hours a day here too. One star for the pleasure I took in writing this review.

If you’re absolutely starving, maybe check this place out. If you can walk another block without fainting, skip it and move on. The sandwiches are all premade. Mine was soggy, but edible. My husband’s was disgusting. Didn’t bother checking out the bathrooms after reading all the Unilocal reviews. Staff wasn’t very friendly. It is expensive, even by NY standards, for what you get. I usually don’t get sucked in by a tourist trap, but sadly this time I did.

Whenever I try to think of the worst restaurant or café I’ve experienced in the city, this is the first one I think of. The staff are rude, their floors are dirty, they regulate how people use the bathrooms as if it’s a DMV, and their pizza was terrible(hard, burnt, tasteless, maybe recooked). I think they only make money because it is in fact a tourist trap.

Employees are super rude and unwelcoming! One female employee was handling cash and then handling food without washing her hands or using gloves!

I know that this place doesn’t get the greatest love on Unilocal. But if your looking for a great cheap breakfast sandwhich and a really fresh fruit smoothie for less than $ 10 bucks. This is the place to go. Good pre shopping breakfast in Soho!

This is just a corner market with coffee and pastries. If your are in shirty and need something to snack or coffee and move on. There’s plenty of good to great alternatives to eat and drink in the area.

I can’t tell if this is a tourist trap or if everything in SoHo is this generic. Today I spent most of the morning Downtown and a trip to Bloomingdale’s was definitely on my agenda. Lunch spots seem to evaporate as you get closer to Broadway, especially in this area. I was compelled to come in and ended up fairly pleased. The chicken salad sandwich was good and presumably fresh(it was around 11:30, so it was too early for mayonnaise to go bad). A can of Coke and a sandwich came to just under $ 10. Hmm…

Horrible and overpriced food! They told me the food arrived early in the morning, but the salad was literarily brown and the bread was so dry that it was impossible to chew through. It was expensive as well. Stay away!

** WHYBESORUDE? ** Folks wonder why there is a Starbucks on every corner and why they are all packed — places like this are the answer. All I wanted was an iced tea and maybe a snack. I wandered in here today after shopping on Canal Street and wanted to use the bathroom before I ordered. The guy behind the counter was so rude and told me the bathroom was broken and that he couldn’t baby-sit everyone. I said I didn’t need a baby-sitter, just to wash my hands and again he barked, «I can’t baby sit everyone! It’s broken!» So I said, wow, I will go somewhere else and he goes, «Please! Go somewhere else!» I wish I was kidding, but I’m not. I’m a New Yorker — born and raised — and unnecessary rudeness like this always baffles me. It was a Monday evening and the place was not crowded. I’m also baffled when someone acts like it’s a huge thing that you want to wash your hands before you get food or sit down at the table! Anyway, I walked up Broadway a bit and went to Starbucks where I got to wash my hands and have my iced tea — no fuss, no attitude.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, I knew I should avoid this place. But my friend who is a veggie wanted to grab a quick sandwich before our shopping spree in Soho. I decided to get the grilled chicken and my friend got her veggie sandwich. They have seating downstairs for the patrons. That’s was most bland sandwich I have ever had and friend could not even finish half of her sandwich. We literally threw our in the dumpster. I spent $ 19 bucks on two crap sandwiches. I wish I would have listened to my inner voice and got those awesome tacos from the truck standing outside. FYI — If you need to use a restroom here, one needs to show the receipt of the purchase. Avoid buying anything here and use the restroom at Café Duke few steps away.

When I said I wanted sugar in my tea I did not mean ¼ of a cup. However, they did have a nice selection of tea and other drinks as well as food, but I did not try them.

Soho Café = NOHO! This is café is the dumb ho’s who are uncultured, uneducated in mannerism and professionalism unable to hone interpersonal skills of the four elements of customer service: * ATTITUDE(they feed the ultimate unfathomably nasty verbal and nonverbal attitude to customers) * APPEARANCE(they shot me the most rude scowl looks for making them do actual work for simple requests of takeout menu or business card and a sales receipt) * AWARENESS(they ignore to deplore customers upon entering without proper meet and greet or any form of acknowledgment of my physical presence) * KNOWLEDGE(they do not know how to produce a sales receipt to know the intricacies of their registers) I came here to seek bail on a Tuesday afternoon from torrential rain. AIJA! I requested a sales receipt THREE repetitve times when I could not take it any more but attempted to yank it from the register only to have my hand spanked with the most rude scowl look! Soho Café = hell spawn NO!

One thing I didn’t like about SoHo Café was the bathroom(un)restrictions. There was a long wait(almost 30 minutes) just to use their single occupant washroom and most of the people in line weren’t customers! As with Marisa S, I came here more for convenience than choice. The place may look small initially but there is a lower level that’s much larger and offers more seating. The selection is fairly vast and preparation is quick. I had the lamb pita. The meat was very good but the tzatziki was more liquid than a sauce. They do have tap water but told me they don’t offer it which was confusing because I saw others getting water from the tap. It was too late anyways cause I had purchased a bottle water from them. Don’t come here if you have to use the washroom really bad and if you’re looking for a good place to eat.
