Delicious brunch and really good service. There were 3 of us and we all liked everything we ordered. I got the 3 dip appetizer and the waiter was very nice and offered me vegetables instead of pita knowing I was gluten free. I’ll definitely go back.

I have discovered that the«Hells Kitchen» area of NYC has some nice eating options. Tonight three of us tried Snack Eos restaurant. Instead of starting with bread that runs up the calorie count, they started us off with shot glasses of a smooth flavorful cauliflower soup. Our meal began with a calamari salad that was served warm. There was arugula and gigantic beans in a lemon, cilantro vinaigrette. Tasty. The taverna style greek salad had fresh ingredients properly seasoned. A classic salad done properly. Our entrees were the lamb shank, the branzino, and the crispy ½ chicken. All dishes contained the freshest ingredients, nice vegetable accompaniments, and deft seasonings. The dinner was capped off by the molten chocolate cake. I like my chocolate intense, and this was. At the end of the meal my daughter looked up at me and said«Dad. Are you sure we’re not in «Heaven’s Kitchen?»

I was looking for lunch spot near my hotel. It was close although«Snack» in the name somewhat deterred me. Really glad I popped in. Mint lemonade, lunch special with great eggplant dip with crispy pita, salmon with yogurt and nice Faro side and a salad. Perfect proportions, great value for $, small but spacing on tables didn’t make you feel too cozy with your neighbor. Would go there again it I stay in that neighborhood again.

Found by accident, really enjoyed the sampler meze. The small plates would be plenty if you’re not that hungry. I had the shrimp which was very good.

We originally planned to eat brunch at Hell’s Kitchen across the street but we snubbed by host. You can read all about it in my review of them. Anyhow, this audible like most spontaneous Unilocal adventure of mine actually turn out better than the original plans. We decided to bet a sampling of both sides of the brunch menu. The lady ordered the poached egg avgolemono w/a side of bacon. I am not a fan of breakfast foods but I can admit that I was a fan of their breakfast with the dish being very well balance and not overly rich or heavy. I ordered the Braised Lamb Sandwich and Greek Fries. The sandwich was probably one of the best lamb sandwiches that I have had to date! The bread was fresh and crispy and filled with savory shredded lamb. The sauce/aioli that topped the sandwich has a sweet spice to it which acted as a nice counterbalance to the lambs naturally rich taste. All the brunch flavors were very refreshing. If there was a knocks was the sides; breakfast potatoes and Greek fries were a little cold when they were served and the service was a bit non-existent. Aside from that the food was very good. I strongly suggest stopping by here versus the guys diagonally across the street. Eat with confidence. –P P. S. If you are staying at the Hampton Inn on 8th, this is your best eats withing walking distance from the hote.

Great place for hanging out with friends. Very casual atmosphere. My friend had the lamb shank and I had the whole branzino. appetizers were the grilled octopus, misto fritti(shrimp, calamari, and smelt), and veal meatballs. The space is small so you may have to wait a bit for a table. It is worth the wait.

Second time here… going to be a regular! Branzino js fabulous and the baked chicken is perfect. Awesome wait staff and the owner is a great guy and cares about the customers. Nice relaxed atmosphere. And not a nice quiet restaurant. Great for a business dinner or a night with your special one!

Amazing is an understatement the food is amazing the taste is out of this world and the service one of the best services I have seen in the city We reserved the place for my 40th birthday our Broadway show went late and they actually kept their restaurant and kitchen open for us The food was amazing layers of food texture and the service was warm hospitable and they made us feel so welcome in their establishment Not once we felt rushed and the food was just amazing I have eaten at so many restaurants that don’t respect their customers but this place was a breath of fresh air — kudos to the chef and the team of this restaurant

I think this warrants a 3.5 rating but not a 4. Snack EOS is right on the corner of 39th and 9th and steps away from my apartment. I’ve been there twice for brunch and felt that it was good, but there is not much variety and the offerings are just a bit too salty and savory. I had the over easy my first time — two eggs over easy on top of bacon poulenta, and it was tasty but left me quite thirsty given all the salty ingredients. The second time I tried the pork with poached eggs(can’t remember the name). Once again, good but left me with the need to quench. It’d be better if the menu had items that were a bit more balanced in flavor, but Snack EOS will provide a hearty, filling meal for a decent price if that’s what you’re looking for.

A small but tasty selection of micro brews on tap. The 5 dip appetizer combo is a must try. The eggplant has a delightful Smokey taste. The pomegranate seeds wee a wonderful addition to the red pepper hummus. The wait staff were friendly and efficient. The owner greeted us warmly and returned a few minutes later with a complimentary«shot» of frocks pumpkin soup. We only came for appetizers, but the rest of the menu, and food we saw served looked equally delicious.

I love this place! Mediterranean food is my favorite — presently I am obsessed with all things Greek. They introduced me to a wine from Naoussa that is becoming trendy. With that I was won over. Each time I’ve been, it’s been great and every dish I have had there is tasty!

We found ourselves in Hell’s Kitchen a few weeks ago and decided to try this place for brunch. It’s a relatively small space without much flare, but it’s comfortable and everyone was pleasant. We had the Greek salad and omelette for brunch. The omelette was quite large and came with a great little salad and potatoes. It was cooked very well. The Greek salad was huge and came with the standard toppings — everything was fresh. Definitely worth returning for Brunch if we are in the area. The dinner menu looks great so we will need to stop by one evening as well.

The food is almost too rich. It’s not a bad thing but if you are looking to lose weight this is not the best place to dine. THe pricing is fair considering your in the city and not back in Jersey. I paid $ 23 before tax fora stuffed vegetable that was out of this world. Desert is really good so save room for that. One of the best Meditterean restaurants around Hells Kitchen. Thing is there are so many great choices in the neighborhood that I never know where to go but if you can get in certainly worth dining at.

Adorable interior with wood browns and plants, a perfect place for a delicious and intimate lunch or dinner date. Food was delicious with well seasoned flavors and everything perfectly cooked and nicely plated. But the chocolate cake for dessert was very disappointing. Texture was off and it wasn’t sweet enough. It was unsatisfying so I couldn’t finish it. Overall, excellent and flavorful greek food, a bit on the pricey side, but a nice dining experience. Next time I hope to try their lunch special!

Had such an amazing lunch! The atmosphere has a cedar wood sauna feel. Very large wood paneled door upon entering. Not a huge place. The tiny bar is super cute. They have a lunch special for about $ 17 where you get the«featured» soup or dip plate AND a «featured» entrée. You get plenty for your money! I started with a unsweetened iced tea — it tasted exquisite. The lunch combo came with the Lentil Soup. They served me a large bowl and it tasted fresh with a bit of a tangy flavor, as if they added some balsamic in it. It was enjoyable and savory. I tried the Salmon Skewers over a Barley Medley with Greens and Pita on the side. SIMPLYAMAZING. The Barley was so delicious and the Greens were fresh. The Salmon was cooked to perfection! They lightly drizzled on a lemon cream sauce, which tasted fab. Can’t wait to come back here and try everything!

Four of us had dinner there last night. Some had a salad of lamb carpaccio with arugula, frisee, haricots vert, truffle vinaigrette for $ 14, which they enjoyed. We also enjoyed the following. — Pikilia = cold meze | a sampler of tzatziki, muhammara and melitzanosalata $ 15 — Grilled Octopus = small plates | grilled spanish octopus(fresno pepper, orange, celery, green olive) $ 15 — Artichoke Kalamiki = entrees | artichoke, portobello and haloumi skewers(farro salad, salad greens and balsamic crema) $ 19 — Baked Chicken = entrees | crispy half chicken«under brick»(cauliower, lemon potatoes, olive, caper and sultana vinaigrette) $ 24 — Koutsoyiannopoulos(white wine) $ 52 This was my 2nd visit and I’d return again,

I went during lunchtime so it was relatively empty and I was seated right away. I got the Braised Lamb Sandwich with roasted tomato aioli, caramelized onions and arugula. I also asked for a side of Greek fries. So much flavor in one sandwich: heat, sweetness, and a touch of Indian spices. My only qualm about the sandwich is that I wish there was something«cool» to cut the heat. The fries were also good(crispy fries covered in paprika). The meal came out to about $ 20 with tip. Slightly pricy for a midtown lunch but a nice option when you want to treat yourself.

Snack EOS NY: Manhattan: Hells Kitchen 8pm Thursday 25th October 2014 Three stars Enjoyed a $ 13 Templeton rye on the rocks while waiting for the rest of the 212 prom squad. We ordered a couple hummus type appetizers. Melizanosalata($ 8) is a blend of eggplant, garlic, parsley, with grilled pita. It was good. Muhammara($ 9) is blend of Roasted red pepper and Harissa and then topped with pomegranate, walnuts, served with peasant bread(which seemed like pita bread). This one was spicy and better. I ordered the lamb Ragu pasta($ 18). When it came out there was a delicious looking of plate of tube pasta with melted feta cheese and marinara sauce. There was absolutely no lamb to be found. The lighter sweeter tomato sauce was not even close to thick hearty Ragu, because it just slid right off of the tube pasta making me eat it like a soup. When I think Greek cuisine I think delicious pastries and lamb. I am pretty disappointed in the false advertising since the meat is what you really pay for. Everything else was good. Maybe next I ll order the pork two ways and hope there is some pig is on the plate.
