The wait time can be a drag. Great place to meet friends. The guacamole is ONPOINT. The staff is friendly and hospitable during dining.

First of all – happy hour. Such a great happy hour. Working(and previously living) in Murray Hill means being around a lot of the super social fratty-type happy hours. There are a few places, though, where you can still get cheap drinks($ 6 margaritas) while feeling like a totally classy, actual grown up adult. Sinigual is one of those places. Their mango margarita is delicious and their drinks are strong. The guacamole is amazing. The chips and salsa that they put out on the table is spot on. I had dinner there for the first time last night. I ordered the chile relleno, which is not something I usually order but the vegetarian options were shockingly limited. The Chile Relleno was deep friend and DELICIOUS. the beans, the rice, all delicious. Service was great. I only took off a star because I do want like a few more vegetarian options.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the city. Their food is tasty and reasonably priced. Their Quacamole is just ok, but I love their Shrimp Diablo dish. It is very flavorful and filling. Their desserts are just ok, could use some improvement on variety. Good selection of drinks. I try to return whenever I can.

Not very good Mexican food, and very overpriced. The resturant needs an overhaul. For example, some of the chairs have holes in them.

It’s not easy to elevate a Mexican joint above the myriad other, similarly appointed Mexican joints throughout the city. Sinigual does it. There’s nothing surprising on the menu, but there doesn’t need to be. The guacamole was great. My lobster enchilada was great(for me, not for the lobster, of course). I ate all of the rice and beans, which almost never happens. Even the Mojitos and Margaritas were several cuts above the mark. Most Unilocalers seem to be discontented most with the service here, but our party of 9 wanted for nothing. OK. So they weren’t very friendly, but I wasn’t looking for a friend. I was looking for another Margarita and I got it just when I needed it. My only regret is that as the meal concluded and the waiter offered Tequila shots, nobody muscled up the nerve. It was 930, after all. And the meters on the various babysitters were ticking into overtime. Go here and enjoy!

Enjoyed a leisurely lunch on a Sunday afternoon — for a party of 10(!): four adults, four teens, two seven-year-olds. Good food for all: started with guacamole and steak nachos for the table. My carnitas was nice(if a little under seasoned). Nice margaritas, too.

Great atmosphere. The song that pops into my head is «Bitch Dont Kill My Vibe!» Deep and dark oranges and killer cocktails with an abundance of choices they are also open to making drinks not listed on the menu. That GREEN rice is bomb and although I don’t remember the name of the dish I ordered was delicious. SEEPICTURES!

This is a frequently visited restaurant for me given its proximity to the office. They are good for lunch, dinner or happy hour. Sinigual has some interesting items in the menu and everything always arrives to your table piping hot or clearly freshly made. I’ve never been disappointed with my entrée orders. It’s pretty much finger lickin’ good. If you are a fan of guacamole, you should consider ordering some for the table. They make it right at the table and give you an option for medium or spicy. I often find that the spicy isn’t quite spicy, but everyone’s tastebuds are individual. The cocktails are great and entertaining. I recommend the pomegranate mojito. I believe many of the margaritas in all different flavors are close to half price during happy hour.

Came here with a friend for dinner and drinks the other night. Like any smart restaurant, this one hires extremely nice hosts/hostesses. I was seated even though my friend was running late, which I really appreciated because I was cold and just wanted to sit comfortably. I got the grilled pinapple margarita which I really enjoyed. It’s different, but a little pricey in my opinion, even for NYC. We shared the steak nachos based on the rave reviews. I can’t agree with the reviews on this one; I’d recommend skipping it. For dinner we shared the chile relleno and shrimp enchiladas. Both were good. Do keep in mind the chile relleno is spicy, of course, and it’s legit batter fried, which I wasn’t expecting, but I still liked it. Definitely a good spot for comfortable mexican food and drink.

The steak fajitas were great. The Cadillac Margarita was savory. Dessert was the absolute best. This place has a great atmosphere and is conveniently located near Grand Central.

Came here with a group of friends for a friend’s birthday. Definitely not a fan of this place. Besides the fact that their guacamole is delicious … I will not be returning. Their guacamole is made on the spot so it is super fresh. I got hit in the face with the aroma of guac once I walked in and thought hey, this place seems pretty good. But, nope. Their food were meh, nothing special. Their service is terrible. I don’t understand why it takes 20 minutes for them to refill our water when the water jars are literally right next to our table. I could have gotten up and refilled water myself.(Maybe I should have just done that.) Nonetheless, it takes forever to get an attention of a waiter and after that… another endless wait for them to complete the task. Like really?

I decided to try this place out after walking by here so many times in the past. I give them 1 star for taking my party in at the reserved reservation time and 1 star for the guacamole, which was delicious, and that’s about it. Service here is terrible and we got our waters refilled only when we asked; I felt like my friends and I were making a game of who can flag down a waiter first. Speaking of which, our waiter was only seen three times the entire night. He only spoke to us when taking our orders and when he took our check away. All other times he was incognito. We had to ask other waiters to refill our waters and etc. I got the tres mariachi and the only thing I liked was the chicken enchilada. I could do without the taquitos and the steak taco. The steak taco wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Will I be back? Nope.

I rarely eat on the East side but when I do I make sure to read the reviews to make sure I get good recommendations. This place is always fun, vibrant and great contemporary restaurant for Mexican food. I have had dinner here on Valentines day and have stopped in for casual drinks so that tells you that this place is good for multiple occasions. The combo’s were definitely the way to go. We had the Tres Meriachi’s and loved it! The Chips and salsa were ok. I enjoyed the Casa del Toro Merlot wine and our bartender, Torrin was super attentive and friendly. This place is always packed so expect to speak up with your guests.

I was in the area and had some time to kill before meeting up with some friends. I sat at the bar and ordered a martini and the chicken tortilla soup. My martini was super strong and usually this is a good thing but it was so strong I had a hard time drinking it. Now the soup was delicious and full of flavor. The bartender was really nice, I will come back and try the rest of the menu but no more martinis for me.

Came here for my birthday for a quick dessert before we went out! I’ve been looking for Mexican fried ice cream in Philadelphia, but had no luck. So boy was I excited when I found this place so close to me hotel We walked in and got seated by the bar because we were only grabbing dessert. The host made a face when we didn’t wanna sit in the dining area, but idk why it made a different to her. We sat down and ordered right away. It took a while for them to get the fried ice cream out, but I was hoping they were making it fresh so I was okay with it! The ice cream came out and looked great. The fried shell however was soft(guess they left it out for too long). It was a mushy chewy shell around some ice cream. Thank god for the tortilla on the side to add some crunch. The chocolate, sugary, and honey tastes were all there. But the crunchy fried ice cream was a fail :(whomp whomp.

Came here on a Saturday for Happy Hour(3pm-7pm) I ordered the Strawberry Margarita made by Rudy our bartender & they were so good. For bites we ordered Steak Sliders, Chicken Nachos & Grilled Chicken Taquizas(mini tacos) and everything was delicious. My first time here but definitely not my last!

Sinigual is a good place. I’ve only been for lunch, meeting my dad because it is right across the street from his office. the roasted pineapple margarita is strong and very good. The guacamole is fragrant. Keep in mind though, if you like it spicy, order spicy. Even the spiciest setting isn’t all that spicy and if you order medium, it may be too mild for you. I always get the chicken torta. The chicken is cooked perfectly and the black beans are plentiful and a nice touch. The only thing is, I wish they used more toasted bread and cut the sandwich in half like most tortas are. The yucca fries that come with are cooked well. They are just very dense and often hard to stomach along with all the other food. It’s a good lunch spot that I have returned to many times. Just a few pointers!

So a few day ago during lunch I came here. The service was really fast and the waiter was super friendly. The salsa and sauce with chips were yummy and for the first time having the bbq shrimp it was delicious. It looks like great spot not only for lunch but even a meeting or dinner. There’s a little bit of an intimate setting

My friend and I ate dinner here on a Sunday afternoon and thankfully it wasn’t too crowded. We sat at the bar and feasted in peace. The restaurant has a cool modern design and it felt like we were in the dining area of a tropical resort. Our server, the bartender was cool and always made herself available when needed. My friend who can drink had a few glasses of wine and I had the mango Mojito, an attractive looking drink that was really tasty without too much minty taste that you usually taste when drinking Mojito’s. My friend had the ribs and yucca fries and I had the chicken taquito, black beans, rice and Chile Relleno. I enjoyed everything on my plate. I was a little reluctant to eat the stuffed, roasted, fresh pepper since this was my first time trying it and it didn’t look appetizing on my plate. I had to cut off the stem and then I feasted. I tried my friend’s ribs and they were good but I enjoyed my meal better. The bathrooms were clean and this is definitely a spot I would check out again.
