Fast service. Egg sandwich on a roll blah. Roll not good. Greek omelet dry and unappetizing Potatoes mushy and not reheated properly. STAYAWAY unless desperate for food. Location convenient

I actually like the food, but the guy taking orders this morning on the 12th was a degrading ass hole to me when I was trying to place my order for delivery. They lost my business this morning.

I have lived down the block from this establishment in excess of 30 years. The original owner Gus was a doll and perfect. Since he is gone, I would recommend that you not frequent or go to this place unless you have megabucks. Only the wealthy can afford it. I stopped by this evening to purchase a single bagel… nothing on it. etc. They charged me $ 2.70 When I questioned it, they pointed me to the breakfast menu which reflected a bagel with butter for $ 2.50 I had nothing on it. yet was charged $ 2.70HIGHWAYROBBERY. I could certainly afford it but the bagel place next door was closing and they sell bagels for 99 Pretty steep profit… and they refused to modify it. event hough they know me my whole life.

I live so close to this diner, I wanted it to be good so badly! Unfortunately, it just isn’t. The food is decent, at best. It’s also very overpriced. I only ever went here out of convenience and the staff used to be nice. I walked in with a calm, quiet 6 pound dog to place an order for take out. They kicked me out and were incredibly rude to me. They didn’t even ask if my dog was a service dog. I have had my dog in this diner before and no one said a word. I will never go back to this sub par establishment. I’ve eaten at better diners in Florida and that’s saying something…

A dollar or two pricier than some diners, but worth it. Gravy is out of this world. I pretty much order delivery, although the in-restaurant service is excellent. The food though makes it the best delivery diner in the East 60s.

Fast service and delivery but way too expensive for the lack luster food. The only thing they do great is the tuna melt sandwich. No side and its about $ 12 but it is oh so good.

It’s a hard hit on the wallet when you come here for lunch but their challah french toast with either fresh strawberries or blueberries, is simply a delight! What can be better than sweet, fluffy, and warm toast? Portion-wise, it’s a little bigger than you would expect. You also get to pour your own syrup and spread your own butter. Service was quick and efficient too. The place is huge and the booth seats are comfortable EXCEPT when the person on the other end is fidgeting or moving too much. At first I thought the person was kicking the back but they were just getting in and out of the booth.

Best local dinner around, never leave hungry and very fast delivery. Wholesome Soups and a wide selection of entrees make forms classic dinner experience.

If you’re looking for the ultimate classic New York diner, the kind you see on TV and in the movies, where the hostess doesn’t speak English and the waiters are all newly immigrated to America from places like Greece Romania Armenia and various locales in South America, where you’re bound to see a couple of cops sitting at the counter, surrounded by the usual cornucopia of every other profession and nationality that lives in the thriving city that never sleeps, THIS is that diner. Ridiculously large and spacious yet never super crowded or loud, the interior reflects the fact that this diner has been here since 1965 and yet it isn’t dirty gross or super old looking. In terms of food this place literally has EVERYTHING. And I mean 24⁄7EVERYTHING. From Greek to Italian to breakfast to classic American to seafood… you could eat here three times a day everyday for a year and never eat the same thing twice. It’s the ultimate comfort food local joint.

This will probably be my new go to diner. The qualifications would be good soup, fries and dessert. They had really yummy warm soup and their fries were great. The service was actually really good. The only reason I knocked off one star is because the dessert was just good, it wasn’t exceptional. The cake was a bit stale. Otherwise I really enjoyed some late night munchies.

Management are very unprofessional. I’ve witnessed them treat their employees like trash! This one manager I found out her name was Joanna who thinks she’s 20 but looks 80 is one piece of shit herself. She was one day humiliating an older employee there in front of a few customers and had her in tears!!! I wanted to puke! Three young men even waited to speak with the waitress to see if she was ok. I will be sure to let the community know Not to give this place business… And I will also be calling 311 to have them investigated in any way possible. It was Horrible!!!

Perhaps I was too harsh in my review of several years ago; perhaps they’ve improved. I had lunch there last Saturday. Large fresh-squeezed OJ& rare bacon cheddarburger were very good. Tasted my 10-year-old daughter’s challah French toast at home, cause she was too full to finish it, and it, too, was very good. Didn’t even have to add butter(don’t like syrup). Also, she loved her sausages.

Just plain awful. The worst of a 1970’s-era diner. And wayyyy overpriced.

Sit at the counter there is a waiter who is excellent. Water glass full, cleans up quickly and offers coffee tea and desert asap. They have a good selection of soup as well. I had mushroom barley(and I usually only select cream soups) I was pleasantly surprised with the texture and taste.

On a cold morning, happened to be starving and I walked pass this place. Figure, why not! Overall, ok food and friendly service. Coffee is strong enough to wake me up. Alaskan Benedict is average, good portion. Nothing more nothing less. So so at best!

Very good service on a Sunday morning. I had the Alaskan Benedict. Large portion with a side of fresh fruit and a small glass of orange juice. Staff is very friendly, it wasn’t crowded or too noisy.

I could write a book of a review for this place but I chose not to waste any more time on this hell hole of a diner. Long story short, my family and I have been their costumers for over 20 years. Back in the day when Gus used to own it, it was fabulous. Now it is far from tolerable. The prices are ridiculous and the management is terrible. If you tell them something is wrong with your food they will actually, physically, remove your fork from your hand and tell you to leave. Disgraceful. Furthermore, any good diner that has limited competitors should not have to close their doors at midnight Sunday through Thursday.(They used to be 24 hours). Someone PLEASE buy this place out, clean and renovate it for the first time in 50 years years and give the neighborhood a solid diner spot like we used to have. Until then I will continue to frequent quality diner establishments that deserve the business such as RITZ, CAFELUKA, or GRACIEMEWS(it’s worth the schlep but is the best diner ever)

Came here with a friend who was visiting; he’d eaten lunch while I was starving to death & hadn’t eaten a thing. The portion sizes were huge; he got a salad & it was far more massive than I(and I think he) expected. It was okay; I remember it not being an uncomfortable temperature in here. Convenient enough if I were in the area & the prices weren’t obscene.
