Okay, so here’s the cusp of this little Eurasian market — it’s here for your convenience, and convenience is a good thing. Take this place. For instance. Where else can you find Belgian stoopwafels, Robinson’s barley lemon concentrates, McVities Hob-nobs, Tim-tam-ohs, St Michel galettes(the official cookie of Air France), Malaysian Laksa mixes and Icelandic salted licorice all on the same roof? If you have done your share of globetrotting you would recognize a good chunk of the offerings here. «Oh, wonderful», you may say. Let’s buy some stuff up and give due to this mistress of global commerce. Well, here’s the issue — remember that class in human geography or anthropology you took back in freshman year of your undergrad to fulfill some core/Gen Ed requirement, and it was an easy survey class that was shallow low hanging fruit for your precious tuition dollars(you were doing it for the easy A)? Well, this store is like that. Yeah, it’s got exotic thrills, but you sure pay more from your pockets for the McVities Hobnobs or the Ribena(clue: try Meyers of Keswick if you are forbidden by the terms of house arrest to leave Manhattan, or the Butcher’s block in Sunnyside if you want to save more bucks). Just remember that if you really know what you are doing, there are better places to go for most of the items in the store, but that would require local knowledge. Well, in the meantime, here’s that easy passing grade for exotic foods. Just don’t make it a habit — blissful expensive ignorance is not a great way to live your life. Oh, and P. S: they don’t allow photography inside the store. So comparison shopping is OUT.

Love this place! Picked up so many delicious goodies! Kinder eggs and cadbury dairy milk biscuits were my favorites and will definitely be back for more :) The woman at the front was very pleasant and recommended a lychee juice that was delicious!

Check the expiration dates. I bought Cadbury chocolate that was beyond stale. The wrapper showed it was over a year expired.

The new location(with a sandwich board outside with an arrow and the old address, which they really should cover up) boasts a great selection of edibles from around the world. This place is dangerous.

I came here with a few friends not to long ago during Chinese new year. It is by far one of the best places to get snacks from. Has a large variety of UK, neatherlands and Irish snacks. Not to mention good old Asian goodies too from Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and even Korea. My fave thing is the crisps(chips) my friend purchased a bag of beer chips. And was really good. I walked away with a small bottle of elder flower lemonade, a box of Cadbury roses chocolate, 2 bags of chips some kit katz and other to yummiest. Well be back soon.
