Few friends and I came here on a Saturday night for some drinks. The place was packed but we were able to get a table. The drinks were so good and reasonably priced. We only got an order of waffle fries, which was super yummy(crispy and had a nice kick), because we all ate before meeting but will definitely be back to try out their food.

Overall, I’d say 3.5−4. I’m not a big fan of bars in general, but had a good time overall at this one. We came here on a Thursday at 7:30 pm. and there were a few filled tables; it was quite loud with music, TV, and the conversations, which wasn’t the best but there are louder places. People seemed to be having fun, with some regulars who received a lot of attention from some. There’s someone at the front when you walk in who checks your ID. The food is fabulous for bar food. You can order sets(one skewer, one slider and waffle fries) for $ 10(good deal) or get an order of each of those with larger portions. All the meat was well seasoned and not overdone. They also have side dishes like bacon edamame, which tasted good of course because of the bacon taste. The salad with chicken($ 11) was dressed well, well-cooked and did not have dry chicken strips. We were very pleased with one of the servers; he was nice, friendly, gentle — get more like him! It wasn’t overpriced and that was pleasantly surprising.

So despite missing the taste and stringy-ness of mozzarella cheese, the jalapeño popper cocktail is jalapeño POPPIN. Come.

The layout of this bar was very modern and chic! The food was decent — we had wings, clams casino and some banh mi chicken sliders. I was expecting more from the sliders though, there wasn’t much taste from it. Service was great during happy hour even when it started to get quite crowded.

This place opened up about 6 months ago in the LES, and we decided to give this place a try on a Saturday night. At about 8:30pm, this place was filled with a few parties enjoying food and alcohol. I spotted three large groups already seated, talking, laughing, eating and drinking. This place is good for groups, so bring your friends here for inexpensive food(sets starting at $ 10) and cocktails($ 12 each). We were not looking for food, just wanted a low key venue to have a drink and chat. This place is for a fun-filled night with friends, and not exactly for a romantic date. The place was playing music at medium volume, and there was a party vibe in the air. We managed to sit at the bar right across from a group of 4 attractive women that were happy and in the dancing mood. It was nice entertainment for us. The cocktails all seemed very fun and from the ingredients, looked very sweet. I asked the bartender if he could make me a drink less sweet and with a spicy kick. He was very happy to help and made me a very decent jalapeño margarita($ 12), less sweet and more spicy. My companion had a shot of Bulleit Bourbon($ 10) on the rocks. We sipped on our drinks, watched the girls(from Chile) enjoy their time in NYC(and flirting with the bartender), and exited after we had one drink. This is a decent spot if you’re looking for cheap food and drinks with a nice party vibe. I’ll be sure to come back and bring at least 5 of my friends(this place can accommodate groups)!

This is not my first time coming. Lemme just say the first time I came I didn’t eat but really really really wanted to try the food. Unfortunately we were going to Chinese food later that evening(which was dope). Come here on a Sunday for wings and sliders. The edamame is a must, like, absolute explosion in my mouth!

Came here today during SantaCon. Since«The DL» was closed, my friends and I walked around to find a nearby bar. We came across this place. They were«Santa-friendly», meaning they let us in with no problem. The place is not huge, but my friends and I were able to stand comfortably among the crowd. I ordered a bottle of Coors Lite for $ 5. Their drink prices were reasonable. Some of the cocktails come in mason jar, which I liked. My friends and I did not order food, but all the food I saw passing by looked really good, and smelled good. The bartenders were nice, and quick to make the drinks, especially with the amount of people coming in. They play music but not loud enough to dance. Just loud enough to sing along to and being able to hold conversation with people.

Good food, drinks, friendly staff and chill ambience. Diverse menu selection which includes sliders, skewers, and a variety of other items like the popular calamari, jalapeño cheeseburger spring rolls, wings, etc. Also, serves special drink cocktails.

Good drinks, delicious food to go along with drinks. Vietnamese beef skewers, Pork belly skewers(too fatty but the sauce was bomb), fries, fried calamari and bacon edamame recommended. The chicken skewers were ehhhh. I would go def come back!

Been eyeing the sliders for awhile now, but my husband is not into bar food. So instead I came here with a friend to catch up and chit chat. We both didn’t drink because I’m pregnant and she’s not feeling well. But after pregnancy I’m definitely going to come back and wash down these sliders and clam with some beer. All 3 of my slider were delicious, I had the dry age burger, viet steak, and the Kalbi. I think the Kalbi slider was definitely my favorite, juicy and tender! The waffles fries and calamari was good. We also ordered the clam casino and Cajun clam. It was happy hour so $ 1 each. The Cajun one was my favorite of the two, love the butter that melt in my mouth when I suckle the clam out of the shell. I most definitely recommend this place, it’s spacious and the food is good for the price and will pair perfectly with alcohol! Can’t wait to come back next time with more friends!

After a bottomless brunch we didn’t want to stop the drinking so we decided to come here to grab some drinks. We found an empty table and ordered some drinks and curly fries. The fries were tasty but to be honest I had way too many drinks in me for anything fried to taste bad :) The drinks too awhile to come but when they finally did they were well made.

Halloween night, and we’d walked down from East Village to hit up some more bars. The line for the bar that we wanted to go to was wayy too long so we continued the walk down the street and found this little gem. Praise the Lord for standing room and enough space for a personal bubble on Halloween night! I loved the rustic décor — everything was wood paneled! And the bartenders were friendly and efficient, as were the servers who were wandering around and clearing up empty glasses(and wiping up spills.). I ordered two honey jack & gingers — my friend’s drink of choice, which came out to $ 21 and change(not too bad for cocktails in the city). It was really good! A perfect ratio of jack to ginger ale! :9 I wish we could have stayed here longer, but alas, drunchies called!

Great, chill spot to watch a game and to have a beer and a delicious small bites! Sliders and skewers with an Asian flare. Happy hour til 8p. Hip hop beats. Lots of TV screens to watch whatever game is on. $ 10 meal combos(called«sets») that come with a slider, skewer and(just right spicy) waffle fries! Large, open space so you won’t feel crowded. A solid bar pick — definitely worth a stop in!

Random find, and glad we did. LES is full of bars and full of spots to get food, but how many places pack their food with so much flavor, size it perfectly to go with drinks and make it cheap? The food: –Pork belly skewer was perfect, delicious flavor and a good fat ratio –Chicken skewer was flavorful and delicious and moist –burger slider was one of the best I had in a long time, juicy, tons of falvor –Bahn mi slider, as good as it sounds Good cocktail drinks, good ratios and good flavors Great staff, very friendly and great atmosphere, will be a regular spot for us when in the area.

I like the interior, it’s a very clean space! It’s newer so it wasn’t very crowded when I came here but then again it could also be because we got there around 10pm on labor day weekend. Maybe a little too early for the full on weekend party crowd. There are a couple of tables and seating, we were able to seat our entire group of 11 in one corner of the bar. Waitress was friendly, albeit it was her first night on the job so little fumbles here and there. Not a biggie though! Might be fun to host a bday party or some event at this space!

Set’s corner location is perfect for a LES bar crawl. I found the interior to be dark with pine wood walls and wooden table tops and tall bar stools but it’s the LES and you want that laid back, no effort feel. Upon entering, we were greeted by a smiling hostess who escorted us to an open window seat and kindly walked us through the menu offerings. We opted on their burger sliders and choose the Banh mi steak(short rib), steak, Kalbi(Korean) and dry-aged(with cheese) 3/$ 13 and came with waffle fries for just $ 3 more. My preference of taste for these mini creations were the Banh and Kalbi which rendered the most flavor but somehow, I got the short or small end piece on the Kalbi but it was still good. I’ll definitely order those two again.

I simply love this place! Great space, good drinks, awesome food. The wait staff is on fleek! They are super chillz and great servers! and NO I don’t know the owner or trying to amp up this spot. Maybe drunk? But I remember loving it! and they had food to help me sober up! No need to bounce from one stumble place to another! I recommend the pork belly skewers! has a kicker. As for parking. It’s LES. You’ll find one. Anything after 7pm!

We lost a legendary bar and in return, gain a diverse, divey and simple yet sexy establishment. Nestled on a street known for bars, restaurant and a killer night life lies Set L.E.S.- Motor City Bar’s sleeper replacement boast a great atmosphere mixed with wooden décor, open air space and some killer custom cocktails. The S.E.T Manhattan is a revamp’d take on a classic cocktail bursting with Angostura bitters. My fav!!! Set doesn’t have a dinner menu but definitely a solid bar menu. If you’re a BBQ fan, opt’d for one of their skewers that will run you 3 dollars a piece. The Vietnamese Steak Cubes were cooked perfectly. Buttery taste that even comes close to home made. The Kalbi sliders are solid pick. Flavorful with 3 sliders to an order — you’ll be getting your money worth on this. A MUSTGET. Clams casino runs 8 dollars for 6. These little guys are packed with flavor! So good you’ll wanna slap yo momma! lol ok maybe not that good but it’s really great bar food. Overall, a welcome edition to the nightlife wasteland we call lower east side. Hope these guys update the menu every so often and keep that heavy pour. Kudos, Set :)

This place just opened recently and was on Unilocal’s «Hot and New» list and I’m glad to have tried it. Twice in one week already! The interior is very modern and spacious. The drinks are good and the staff is really friendly. I would usually go to the LES for drinks after some food but at Set, you can enjoy both! The food is incomparable to the ones served at other bars, it’s more on the Asian fusion side and it’s amazing. For skewers, I’ve only tried the Vietnamese steak and pork belly skewer. The steak was tender and buttery. The pork belly was 50% fat but that’s the way I like it. The sliders were better than expected. I usually don’t eat bread or burgers or anything like that but these sliders were good pairings to my drinks. I don’t remember which exact one my friends had ordered but there were definitely some chicken and beef ones. The corn on the cob wasn’t café Habana good but comparable to your favorite grilled corn at food stands. The tangy soy garlic wings and calamari items are a must try.
