We went here for dinner last night and it was great! The inside of the restaurant is beautiful but since it was such a nice night we decided to eat outside(which was still very nice.). The service was excellent our waiter, Van was always there when we needed him and made sure we were taken care of. The food was amazing the drinks tasted great we left feeling very satisfied. Next time I’m in the neighborhood I plan on checking out the upstairs bar which sounded pretty cool.

So what do you get for $ 105.61: 4 Johnnie Walker Black drinks and a fish dish called Orata(for $ 33!!!) that took approx. 40 minutes to prepare? The fact that the restaurant was not filled and we had a server and what seem to be a server in training taking our order; why was the service sub standard? I was about to ask for the manager but my friend did not want to make a fuss about it. Get it together… first impressions are everything!

Went here for a little ladies dinner. It has a really cool vibe, like a hotel restaurant James Bond would hang out at(with prices to match). I got a moscow mule in a cute copper mug which was delicious. Something about drinking out of novelty cups just makes things taste better. We got the eggplant entrée as a table appetizer and it was so good, I almost was upset I hadn’t ordered it for my entrée as well. Amazingly perfect sauce and rich ricotta and mozz, such good flavor and not overly breaded and fried eggplant. Most everyone at the table got the burrata ravioli in a nut pesto sauce. Unique robust flavor, so rich and delicious. Smaller servings and higher price point for sure, but great for a date night with a very intimate romantic vibe.

Stay away. What a waste of Money!!! Serving sizes were a joke. Way over priced. New Chef=STAYAWAY. Won’t go back. Pasta portion was an appetizer. They should of payed for our second dinner we went out for.

We had dinner here with a large group and it was a very nice experience. The waitress was super attentive and on her toes and the Saturday night vibe is pretty cool. I tried quite a few things on the menu as we did a lot of sharing but the standout is definitely the Tuna Crudo as appetizer, Ravioli as the main and So Fresh So Clean to wash it all down. Great time from what I remember after a few :)

Trendy expensive italian place with good food to boot. Wonderful(original) décor. We went for the burrata and mozza /anchovies for starters — good choices. Then pasta and gnocchis of the day. Service was good except for the server who kept on pooring my beer to re-fill the glass to the top. Annoying — let me drink my beer in peace. Also — any place claiming to serve Italian food has to serve bread. Overall wasn’t impressed.

Dropped in while passing through Soho on a Saturday night. It was crowded but there was still no wait. We ordered only entrees. I got the malloreddus with sweet sausage ragu, whipped ricotta and pecorino sardo. It was good. My friend got the busiate with Spanish octopus, cherry tomatoes, capers and oregano and thought it was good but not great. Dinner didn’t come with bread – not sure if that is standard or an oversight.

It’s nice to have space while you eat! Great meatballs and crudo for apps. Wonderful pastas(linguini garlic and olive oil, ravioli with mint is genius, and simple spaghetti with tomato) that aren’t complicated but very satisfying. Dessert was also top notch and I discovered a new amazing thing: crema alla manna. It’s kind of like speculoos/cookie butter except not as sweet and made from the sap of an ash tree. It comes in a cream puff: DELISH. Pistachio cake is also great. Service: professional and attentive.

Wasn’t as impressed as I thought I would be based on all the noise I was hearing about this place. Definitely a beautiful venue but the food felt very mediocore. Service was great with great attention to our table from multiple servers but the food just didn’t impress. BLOODORANGESALAD — shaved fennel, black olives, pecorino. This was light and refreshing but left something to desire. RAVIOLI — burrata, almond pesto, mint, lemon zest didn’t feel like anything special. BURRATA — herbed olive oil, grilled country bread Average dish that can be a basic on a menu. Should just be eliminated since it lacks any excitement or originality. BEET&SQUASHSALAD — stracciatella, radicchio, pumpkin seeds. This was a bit more desirable to eat but still not the most exciting dish. Dessert was to be had for sure since we were celebratinga birthday. We tried everything on the menu and the best was the PISTACHIOCAKE — chocolate ganache, pistachio ice cream. The MAPLECARAMELBUDINO — whipped cream, praline crisp was way to sweet but definitely enjoyed the textures. The HAZELNUTTART — with poached pears was unique and flavorful. The BLOODORANGESORBET was a great way to end everything. It freshened up our pallets and was light. Overall, not a spot I would recommend for someone in town visiting but maybe a place to just check out if you lived in NYC. The vibe is great and the feel is very trendy.

When I like a venue I keep coming back and checking in. This is my go-to place when im in the area. Cool crowd, good drinks, I love the cheese sampler, and the bartenders are usually attentive and on point. I come here to unwind and they make it easy to do so. And the hotel is just as nice, right here. My experiences(hotel, lounge, bar) have always been awesome sauce.

Since I was impressed by restaurant week dinner, I suggested to return for brunch. Unfortunately Sessanta delivered a completely different, unpleasant experience. By focusing on the foods alone, it was enough to drive us away. Baked eggs with seasonal veggies and sausage — highly recommended by our waitress and in fact her fav item on the menu — I was craving savory but I got straight up salt. One dimensional in flavor therefore I had to douse it in hot sauce to make it more tolerable. Frittata — «are frittatas ever supposed to be cold?» I could tell my friend was just being polite and quietly stomached her meal. Especially since I was the one to recommend this place. Hanger steak — «very chewy and kinda cold». since we were the only patrons in the restaurant, not quite sure why all the foods came out lukewarm or cold. The«salad» consisted of a few pieces of greens tossed as garnish served on top of the steak. Far from an actual«side». Fries — Since the«salad» wasn’t substantial as a side. My friend wanted to order the fries. Unfortunately our waitress was no where to be found and fries weren’t ordered until half way through the meal. Fries eventually became dessert. Crispy and not one bit oily. Best bite of the day. Overall — so unimpressed by brunch. Definitely not Sessante’s forte.

Starting with the positive; The place is truly beautiful and perfectly located. The coffee was also pretty good. Now the negative; I was not impressed at all by the food. I had the brunch frittata and it was ok, but tiny and coldish. My friend had the steak and she said it was chewy. Moreover, it was only accompanied by a piece of lettuce. Well, maybe it’s because brunch is still a new thing there. I don’t know about dinner, but surely brunch isn’t their thing.

Nothing special. We were forced to eat here as a package with the chopper service Blade for Valentines Day. The server had no clue what the pre-fixe menu was and was of no help. There was no offer of any substitutes and we dealt with it. Food was just ok. Place was busy but not memorable. Would not return unless forced. Tables were small and cramped.

Wasn’t blown away– not one to add to the list 5 of us went for brunch, and there were a couple of other tables of people. The bloody marys were great, and the servers were attentive. the food service was slow, we waited a considerable amount of time considering the restaurant was basically empty. I ordered the burger, which i thought was good, but i was starving. The rest of the group went for breakfast options and none of them were blown away.

I went to sessanta for my friend’s birthday on Saturday night. We had a reservation and they sat us right away. They have a nice wine list with many different wines, from different regions. The dinner menu is also great. They have so many things I would love to try. The food here was excellent. We shared a bunch of appetizers like the sausage meatballs, braised octopus, and the sessanta board. They were all delicious. For dinner, I had the tagghiarini pasta, which was pasta with lamb ragu, basil and baked ricotta salata. I loved it. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and it had a lot of flavor. My friend had the skirt steak, which I tried and it was great. Everyone really enjoyed their entrees. The service was also excellent. The server was very attentive and accommodating. I can’t wait to return!

Solid Italian spot. I stopped by on a weekend evening with a friend, and we split the meatballs to start, which were decent but nothing memorable. My entrée was the lamb ragu tagghiarini, which was also very good. Nothing too exciting, but the dish was well executed and fairly tasty. Drinks were well executed as well. It’s a nice spot, not too loud or crowded, and with decent service, and while it’s not super cheap, it’s fairly adequately priced and very reasonable. Wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again, but would come back again if in the area for a slightly more upscale Italian meal in the area.

In my travels to Italy, I never had the chance to go as far south as Sicily and try the wonderful Sicilian cuisine. Flash forward a few years and here was my chance to try it, right here in Soho. Sessanta specializes in Sicilian food and is named for the Sixty Hotel it resides in. It has a cute, little outdoor seating area, which I recommend since the indoor area seems a bit dark and dreary. My eggplant ravioli was delightful and melted in my mouth and my friend really liked her branzino. My red wine was fantastic, as was our dessert, which included different flavored gelato and a cannoli. I must come back and try other items on the menu. Our server was prompt and professional. Our tab was relatively reasonable for two.

We had a lovely evening while dining at Sessanta this week. This became far more than simply enjoying a nice meal, as the sharp décor, intimate vibe, and friendly service elevated it to an experience we will not soon forget. For starters, we tried the Polpette Di Maiale, which are the sausage meatballs. These are a really welcome and fresh take on meatballs that I was very happy to try. The outside is seared in such a way that there is almost a crispy shell, this mixes perfectly with the soft and granular texture of sausage. But the highlight is the red pepper honey sauce. There is a tanginess, with a hint of sweet that so wonderfully complements this meatball dish. We tried the Marinated Calamari next. It was so fresh and deliciously grilled. So nice to see a chef that doesn’t feel the need to hide the true flavor of calamari by deep-frying it. This was so well thought out in terms of contrasting textures and flavors that it was like an orchestra of ingredients in a bowl. The way puffed black rice, calamari, lemon, and celery hearts work so well together is pure genius. We moved on to the Greens & Chicory salad which is a large portion of fresh, spring vegetables in a delicious honey vinaigrette dressing. The dressing played well with each of the vegetables on the plate, making it seem like it was too good to be a salad. The biggest surprise for me was from an item someone else ordered for the table. I had seen it on the menu, but had not considered it. I’m so glad I got to try it because it was hands-down fantastic. The Mozzarella Pugliese salad is marinated and grilled eggplant with pistachios and a generous portion of fresh mozzarella on top. The eggplant was very tangy and packed full of flavor while the mozzarella cut it just right. I’m not ashamed to admit I went back for a second and third helping. For the pasta entrée, we split the Tagghiarini. This is essentially a flat, ribbon style pasta(sort of like a Papardelle) with a lamb ragu red sauce on it. We really were pleased with our choice in this order. It was even better than we had imagined it. The rich flavor of the sauce paired with the texture of the ground lamb and the quality of the fresh pasta really made for a tasty dish that felt like it came straight out of a respected kitchen in Italy and right to our table. After dinner, they gave us an opportunity to try two kinds of Limoncello. One was the traditional, and the other was made with Rosemary. Both were really refreshing. I am a huge fan of rosemary, so it was really fun to try a familiar drink with a new spin. The net-net of Sessanta is that everything we tried was packed with flavors and textures that must have been carefully chosen to play well off of each other. I cannot recommend this place more highly. I also can’t wait to come back and try other parts of their menu. Simply outstanding.

This place has only been open about a week. We were there last night for dinner. We had a nice red wine, large pasta to share and individual second course for both of us. The check was $ 220.00 before tip. The restaurant had a cool clubby look and the service was first rate. The waiter took plenty of time with us and explained several dishes. I would go back for sure.

The latest restaurant from the team behind great spots like Burger & Barrel, Lure and Bowery Meat Company is another hit. Just like the others, it’s got a great atmosphere, perfect service, and most importantly, incredible food. Start with the Beef Tongue Sliders($ 12 for 2), which are incredible, and a much better value than the delicious but tiny Sausage Meatballs($ 14 for 3 bite size balls). For the entrée, you must get the Timballo di Zanghi($ 41). Named after the chef’s daughter, filled with fun little ring-shaped pasta that was the only type she would eat, it’s meant for 3 – 4 people. It didn’t look that big to me, but it is pretty heavy, with tons of satisfying pork sausage and ragu in the center, surrounded by the pasta and eggplant. This is delicious, and at just a few bucks more than most of the entrees, is a definite steal. The Pistachio Cake for dessert was tiny for $ 10, so the two Cannolis for the same price might be a better option. This is a great spot that I’m sure will be crowded very soon.
