Again, nothing comes close to Mario’s peruvian in LA. If you cannot prepare the basic dishes like lomo saltado(no fries or potatoes) and fried rice, it should not be on the menu. Granted, the biz name says pollo and I’m sure most everyone orders their chicken, but c’mon, I can’t always travel to the west coast to get a quick fix.

If you have been to a Peruvian or Pollo Rico franchise, it’s the same menu format just a different name. Let’s Get Political As a young college professional working in the city, it’s often trivial to find affordable food to satisfy your palate and not destroy your stomach. Señor Pollo gives you quality food for reasonable prices. They season and marinade their chicken and you can taste it in «de bone.» Their portion fills you up, and gives you a nice itis when you return to work(smiles). Aside from my last delivery experience when my plate of food appeared as if the gorilla from the zoo was holding my plate and shook it(photo evidence), I forgive them. Furthermore, the waitress is fictionally hot. She is Telenova beautiful for no reason.

My friend raved about the chicken here so we had to go. It’s really not busy at 2:30 and the ambiance here is pretty good. Small tables for two make up the shop but you can easily rearrange them at will. Quick service and menus were already on the table. The server was nice but seemed like she either had a bad start to her day or didn’t want to be there. She hardly came by to fill our water, and never asked us if we needed anything else. We asked her what chimmichurri sauce was and she lazily pointed at the bottle of sauce on the table without explaining what’s inside out what is made of.(Btw, it’s a refreshing spicy sauce). But there nothing wrong with the food! The Peruvian chicken was amazing. I got the leg and the meat came right off the bones. The skin seasoned and crisp, and chicken was juicy. I always love eating chicken off the bone when I don’t have to pry the meat off with my teeth and face getting slapped in the face with oil and chicken skins. The portion sizes were also huge. The beans were a tad salty but the spinach mashed potatoes were on point. I thought it was a weird combo, to have bright green mashed potatoes, but for some reason it worked out very well. I guess it’s one of those things like green smoothies that look a little strange at first but end up tasting really good. Flavorwise, I couldn’t really taste the spinach either, but it was a really filling meal for about 10 $. I definetly want to come neck and try their friend plaintains. They have fried green ones as well. Besides the minimal service, the meal was overall delicious. Bathrooms here are also very clean at the off hour. They do also offer take out and catering.

Love this place. Live a block away, and come often. The food is always delicious, and the service is always friendly, helpful, and efficient. My favorite items are the chicken sandwich, the sweet plantains, and the lemonade. Keep up the good work!

Very authentic tasting Peruvian food. The chicken soup was great and so was the lomo. I would definitely get this again.

I waited in line like everyone else. I always buy a whole chicken dark meat for my 2 kids. I was told it would be a 15 minute delay. I say that is ok i will wait as my kids love this places dark meat chicken. I get to the register to pay and they tell me I can’t order it. At this point frustrated and say if I buy 2 whole chickens I get 4 dark meat pieces that it shouldn’t be on the menu then. I’m forced to buy 2 whole chickens. I wait for over 20 min for my chicken. They proceed to give people that were behind me chicken pieces — even dark meat. I ask for a refund and magically I get the chicken. NOT A NICEWAYTOTREAT A REPEATCLIENT.

Let me just say the chicken here is by far one of the best I’ve had. Very fresh and juicy. And the chili churri sauce you get for the chicken just tops it off. Great family owned restaurant and great prices as well.

We went yesterday while we were in the city. The food was good I had the Papa Reyena my husband had the ¼ breast with yellow rice and beans. The beans where canned, but the rice was good and the cilantro sauce they served was really good. The chicken was more wing then breast and the papa was tasty my only problem was that the meat which was ground was to chunky but that’s just a preference on my end. if you’re looking for quick food in a clean spot that is fairly decent head over and have some.

I found Señor Pollo while browsing through Seamless, not knowing what I was in the mood for, and gave it a try. Very delicious chicken, with VERY delicious sauces. After tasting each sauce, I immediately had to call the restaurant to see which sauce was which, then I dug in. Even the house salad was large, and fresh. I still smell of garlic … very happily. Delivery was right on time … I will be enjoying you again soon. Gracias Señor Pollo

If you live around the area, this is the main go to spot. The prices are cheap for the area and the food is always great. Sometimes, I get the ¼ dark meat with two sides(beans, spinach mashed potato or manduros). Their papa rellena is also really good. It’s a fried mashed potato with meat inside. ALWAYS get extra hot sauce and chimichurri. I’m giving it 4 stars only because they mess up the order a lot and will forget to give you the extra sauce. Always check after! This place brings out the savage in me. I always get it to go and what I do is remove all the meat from the bone first, dump both sauces on it and mix it. I also dump the sauces on the papa rellena after cutting it open in the middle and do the same thing and just put the hot sauce into the spinach mashed potato. I then dip my chicken into those mashed potatoes. It’s heaven. My boyfriend’s guilty pleasure is their lo mein which I find kind of hilarious. Anyway, I also find it kind of odd how I wouldn’t venture here from far away. But if you’re the type that’s not really an adventurous eater and is on a tight budget, this is it.

This review is for a Seamless order: Every time I order from Señor Pollo, I request extra hot sauce and salad dressing(the standard amount they provide is scanty). I have learned to call them after the order has been received to make the request, lest they forget. Tonight, when I called, I even noted that last time I ordered, they still failed to include the extras(despite my call), and that the deliveryman had actually made a return trip. Per usual, I was assured I would receive them. Sure enough, the order arrived, and there were no extras to be found. I called the restaurant and was told that they had made sure that the extras were in my bag. Naturally, there was nothing anywhere, but the individual I spoke with was adamant that they had fulfilled the request. So, either the deliverymen are managing to lose the sauces/dressing, or the restaurant staff is inept/forgetful/dishonest. Regardless, done with Señor Pollo.

Affordable Peruvian chicken joint in East Village. Really popular and is always full. You can order chicken meal or just chicken on Its own. I had the chicken with fried yuca and salad. Great favor and tender chicken. Only if you want leg you have to wait some times. It is definitely going to be my East Village Peruvian chicken go to place.

Señor Pollo is one of the first restaurants I think of when I’m hungry! Their food comes in huge portions and is cheap. You can come here for take out or to dine in. I’ve never had their food delivered so I can’t speak to that. One of my favorite things to get are the Beef Saltado(Lomo Saltado) with a side of yellow rice and yuca fries. The dish is super flavorful(probably because the sauce has enough sodium for 2 days but idgaf) and the yuca fries are always really crispy and fresh. Ask for the white sauce for the yuca fries too. The rotisserie is also really good as expected. You can get a half chicken or quarter chicken and then pick two sides to go with it for under 12 bucks. Drench everything in their chimichurri and green hot sauce if you’d like — it’s really good. Also this place has some of the best fried rice I’ve ever had, which I did not expect. I’ve been to this place almost 10 times and I will definitely keep coming back!

The clock sees 8:30, but only from its rearview mirror as it speeds by and hurls a piece of trash at it in passing. I’m still at my desk. I’m always still at my desk. And just as I begin to clasp my hands together and pray for death, I remember my one reason to keep on keeping on: Señor Pollo is on the way. I have never seen Señor Pollo’s storefront. I’m not even sure it exists. In my mind, the delivery man arrives not on any bike, but on a chariot from the heavens, slightly greasy and smelling, not unpleasantly, of salt and spices and other wondrous things. He hands me my bag and refuses, for the third time, my attempts to kiss him on the mouth. It has been 45 minutes since I placed my order – and somehow, the bag is still radiating heat, an affirmation that he is indeed an angel. The bag is heavy. Señor Pollo is generous with his gifts. My coworkers and I gather around the smörgåsbord and inwardly weep. It’s pathetic, but we don’t care. I take a bite of chicken – then another to make sure I haven’t fallen asleep at my desk, and that what I am experiencing is, in fact, real. It is. Succulent. Juicy. Tender. Unbelievably seasoned. Re-read those words in Gordon Ramsay’s voice. Succulent. Juicy. Tender. Unbelievably seasoned. That was better, wasn’t it? The rice comes next. It changes my life. Again, I should say, as I’ve had it dozens of times before. It’s spicy – spicier than the last time I ordered it, but not as spicy as I’ve had it before. It’s an imperfection that makes everything that much more exciting. It is the carbohydrate form of a roller coaster. A bit of chimichurri sends shivers down my spine. Someone hits me on the shoulder. «Stop moaning,» she says, her eyes drunk and slow and unable to focus. She shovels more chicken into her mouth. I’m licking my takeout container clean when I come to. I must have blacked out. I’m full. And shameful for how I’ve behaved. But that doesn’t stop me wondering if it’s too late to order seconds…

Since moving from Miami I’ve been looking for a good chicken restaurant that I can eat at day after day after day. I found it! This chicken is seasoned so well, the arroz Moros is delicious, and the maduros are perfectly sweet. The portions are big and the price is unbeatable for the flavors you get. The chimichurri is delicious on the chicken and the rice. I will definitely be returning over and over again.

This is now my go-to delivery place because it’s quick, delicious, and consistent. If I can’t bother to cook and I want something quick, I go with the whole chicken, mashed potatoes with spinach, yellow rice, and occasionally the maduros or yuca fries. Plenty of food for two with a bit of leftovers, and this comes to around $ 25. Delivery is typically super fast. I’m not proud of this, but I ordered from here three times this week and the first delivery took 30 minutes, while the second and third took under 25.

Came here with a friend since she really wanted to visit this place when we were in the city but didn’t have time. Nether less, we waited quite a bit for them to serve us(thank god i made some jokes and discussion, etc so it didn’t feel like the wait was forever). However, this place is good and cheap for Peruvian food as it can get. Its cheap(pricing of course) and gives out generous portions. ANYTHING A FATTYLIKEMECANASKFOR. Try it for yourself!

Peruvians know their chicken. Great rotisserie chicken and sides here. Fast service for the most part, and I would smear their chimichurri sauce on everything. One of my favorite things on the menu is the«aguadito». It’s a delicious chicken soup with vegetables comparable to a sancocho.

Great quick feed. For roughly $ 9 you can get a ton of food. The Chicken is cooked with some great spices and I have to say the highlight is certainly the sauces. The chimichurri and the garlic sauce are both fire. I got the ¼ chicken combo with beans and plantains. The plantains wee def overlooked and I could tell they were sitting out for a while. You get the choice of a breast or a wing. With the sides, unless you are starving, you could do a wing no problem. Will be back!

Señor Pollo is sick. Cheap, delicious Peruvian food in giant portions. Definitely have the Peruvian chicken, and go from there because anything else you’ll get will be magical — from the fried rice to the green or sweet plantains to the yuca. Check them out for delivery if you’re in the area because the minimum is super low. Otherwise, there’s plenty of seating to eat in. The people who work here are super friendly too.

As a lover of Peruvian chicken, this is probably one of the best meals I’ve had. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The chicken is absolutely delicious and the portion sizes are huge. They don’t skimp on the rice. I’ve always been a Yuca man but this place converted me to Tostones as my go-to side option(along with rice). Seriously, their tostones are da bomb. Especially with that white garlic sauce they serve with it. Staff is really nice too!

I have been of fan of Señor Pollo for quite some time. I have even gotten a few coworkers hooked. The chicken is amazing and the aji that it comes with is a must if you like a little kick. From the sides I have tried my absolute favorite is the potato salad. However, everything is pretty good. Solid rice and beans. Avocado salad is always fresh and tasty. In the event I don’t want chicken, I go for the fried fish. It comes with a tasty encebollado(pickled red onion) which is the way mama would make it. And you can’t have Peruvian food without an Inca cola. They have them ;)

Ordered the whole rotisserie chicken and it was amazing. Maybe one of the best I’ve ever had. It was perfectly seasoned and juicy with crispy skin on top. Order arrived 45 mins later(it was a busy weekend night) and I wasn’t disappointed. My new go to rotisserie chicken spot in the neighborhood!

I was craving for some latin food today at work so I ordered ¼ of roasted chicken with maduros and yellow rice for lunch. The chicken was so flavorful. Also, the green sauce had the right amount of spiciness for those who like to add a little more flavor and heat. Will definitely order again.

I ordered from Sr. Pollo yesterday and chicken was undercooked, they where closed when I noticed bloody bones so I called today. Was told they would cook it more next time, I asked for a manager and was told would get a call back, the manager was not in. Never heard back. I have eaten Sr. Pollo before and liked it, this wont work for future desire. How do they send an uneatable item and then not give credit, not even a sorry. I went to bed semi hungry and threw out the chicken, it was nasty to get undercooked chicken, had they dealt with it differently like… We apologize, we will give you a credit and check into why chicken is not getting fully cooked. Things happen and as a business, especially with undercooked food, could take responsibility to make the situation better… adiós Sr. Pollo

Senior pollo is DAJOINT for some rotisserie chicken Peruvian style. The chicken is solid and isn’t overloaded with sodium which is a huge plus! Their yellow/orange rice is a little buttered up(taste) but it’s soooo good! I always get the fried plantains for my side(tostones), which never fail to be amazing. Depending on the size of the chicken you get the cost ranges, plus tax, $ 8.50−11! It’s a steal mang! The service is pretty fast and there are plenty of seat in this joint! The game changer of all game changers is their GREENSAUCE from heaven. I don’t know what it is but it’s off the hook. It’s not a salsa sauce, but don’t matter when it tastes that good. I come here occasionally with my buddy and between the two of us we nearly kill the sauce at the table every time… sorry not sorry! I put it over the rice and mix it in with stripped off pieces of chicken to make sort of a Latino fried rice yafeel? So bomb! Hit this place up!

This is some crack chicken! irresistible… As a person who hates chicken(unless its fried chicken from Popeyes or Churches Chicken), this place makes me want to change my mind. The menu is simple and easy: Full, half, then your small portions of chicken. For $ 1 more you can get all dark meat or $ 1.50, white meat for the whole or half chicken. Of course there’s the list of side. I had the yellow rice, which was a huge portion(a small halal size) and sweet plantains that are made perfectly delicious. I shared a full chicken for two($ 14 as of 4÷11÷2015). The portion is pretty decent and both of us could not finish. The skin in my opinion is he best part and the chicken is nice and moist/juicy. They give you 2 sets of green sauces. I believe one has olive oil+ cilantro + garlic +parsley and the other, I have no Idea, but I suggest mixing them together and when you dip the chicken in it, you would love it! Definitely an easy grab and go place or you can easily eat it there, but everything is pre-made to go so you don’t have to wait long.
