WORD! This place is theeeee best! Vibe is amazing and the staff is great. Went in for a pin purchase and their inventory was completely stocked. Not to mention… you will NEVER find the same pin anywhere else — specific to SXS! Don’t sleep on Scumbags & Superstars!!!

Pins, patches, buttons, humorously offensive t-shirts, hoodies and hats, this is not a new thing but trending heavily now. Instagram is a treasure trove of independent and amazing small(mostly virtual) companies which offer these glorious little affordable treats, but alas don’t afford the gratification of physically and drooling and gawking at everything with cash clutched in hand. For we are a gluttonous and materialistically driven heard of consumers. But FUCK, it’s fun as SHIEEEET to go buy swag! Now this is where after canned beer Saturday I want to stumble into a Punk Art Flea Market and hope for the best in evil trinkets. Craft & Vendor Fleas are fun but not usually fulfilling. They never have enough twisted Simpsons, Skulls –n– Graves and old school monsters to quench the thirst. I’m also not 12 and although I like waiting for my little package stuffed with a button and a sticker to come in the mail… It’s bloody Brooklyn and who knows if ill actually receive that little air puffed envelope. So when the real life Beavis & Butthead were handing me my Fall Issue of Pork magazine(HOLA!) said«Yeah I coped this GG Allen’s Playhouse shirt and BartHolio lapel pin at Scumbags and Superstars… but ummm… right down the street at their shop.» WHAAA… ‘This is becoming a wonderful day for evil!’ as Skelator would say and wickedly evil it was. The Skulled Leader would be proud as well for not only did they have the 3 foot action figures in the box hanging on the walls, they also feature their signature Skull Chief Logo on a hoodie in his iconic purple and blue colors. That is surely next on my list! The small but fully packed store looks like the greatest booth at ComiCon. While you shop through the pins, patches, shirts and hats, your treated with a creepy assortment of amazing decorations and collectables. Like an oversized Rat Fink vinyl that would devour any garden gnome and a wicked collection of MadBalls and hand painted Skull Chief figures. To top it off the staff is incredible as well and share in your excitement of your discovery with you. Example: I almost bought a vintage Super Mario pin I spotted on its original counter display. Amazingly acquired from an old Arcade that went out of business, when Nelson(the manager) was like… «YO, Whoaaa, hold on»… as he happily directed me to the classic Piranha Plant… the last one in stock, SCORE! All my evil goodies were all packaged separately and was each treated to lil grab bags of various signature monster and logo stickers. The perfect ones waiting for me to adorn the walls the nearby dive bars! SOGETOFFYOURFUCKINGSMARTPHONES and be really smart. Pop in and enjoy a mad dope lil shop of horrors that is helping make the BK fun and cool again.

I heard of Scumbags and Superstars from the guys at Second Time Around in Bushwick. Those two guys were sporting S&S signature bright colored tees and I knew I had to have one. I made a special trek to the shop this last Saturday in hopes of finding some treasures of my own. The set up was similar to another fave shop of mine, MishkaI. There was a super decorated place with racks of goodies and a glass case. I also had to get buzzed in through the door, like at Mishka. I guess I might appear as a suspicious character. As I walked in there was a small heard of fellas nerding out to all the geeky stuff in the shop. There are Super Mario Pins, cool t shirts with fun designs of Beavis and Butthead to Skeletor. I was totally drooling over a «creature» neon green design tank. There was so much I wanted. And I loved all the eighties memorabilia! Madballs! Garbage Pail Kids! I found a super sweet coffin pin«Eat Shit and Die» that was a must for my jacket. A great addition indeed. I can’t wait to blow more money here and buy some unique XMAS presents for those I love. Also a shout out for the service. They were super helpful and I even got free stickers. I liked how one of the guys kept all his patches and pins black and white. It was a cool unique spin and modern flare.

Fuckin love this store!!! Every time I go to NY I make sure to hit them up. The best creative prints and clothing. Plus the guys who work there are just the coolest and nicest people who are knowledgeable of the products and the story of the designs. They need to open up a shop in Toronto!!!

I found out about scumbags & superstars a couple weeks back at comic con the employees at the booth were very cool and chill and the artwork on the tees are wickedly awesome! I got some cool stickers which are horror themed which is really cool and they have multiple characters. Yesterday I got a chance to checkout the store and I’m glad I did because haven’t been to a clothing store in a while where the energy level inside was very chill an employee named nelson helped me find what I was looking for and was patient after I changed my mind on what it was I wanted they have tons of which is cool the store is dope unique designs cool staff members ill definitely be headed hear next time I’m in brooklyn
