Sashaa Wellness

This is a really good place for Colonics. Lana is really great and the place is clean and the equipment is very good.
Highly recommend.

Whenever I need colon hydrotherapy I go back to Sashaa Wellness because of Lana. Besides her experience, she is calming, reassuring and professional. She explains what is occurring and can tell me what my body is signaling emotionally, which is totally amazing. Her location is convenient, close to my house and hours very accommodating. Thank-​you, for helping me detox my system.

I wish I could give this place 2.5 stars. This is the deal — it’s ok, but it could be SO much better.
First, what this review is NOT about — ambiance, décor, etc. I am not one of those Manhattanites who cares about designer furniture, and I do not need that to feel pampered. I go to this place solely for health reasons, and this review is about the service I receive and the way I receive it.
The business owner is Lana — a hot Russian mama with grit and character, who is a no nonsense kind of lady. She knows what she is doing in administering the hydrotherapy, but she is not exactly comforting. She tends to make me feel rather uncomfortable most of the time, and rushed. Not to mention — her service is quite overcharged.
The equipment is great — the LIBBE system, clean and in good shape.
The place is not exactly clean, (I have been there with the scent of roach killer in the air, ew,) and it has ZERO ambiance. The latter is OK — I can create my own, but the former is a deal breaker for me. The place HAS to be sanitary for me to feel comfortable. Also, it isn’t always very warm in winter.
So far, it’s all OK. Even though the price is higher than other places, and given the afore mentioned issues, unreasonably so. (Do some research about prices for this service in the New York area, and you will discover this is very high.)
But here is the real problem with this place — she has no employees. Therefore, the business hours of this place are very inconvenient. I think she could double her business if she could have the much-​needed after-​work time slot available for people, and use the money to upgrade the place and make it more sanitary. Just a thought.
Overall — an OK place, great potential, but it could use some effort and pride.
