I lost my phone at around 90th and went inside to ask the staff to possibly use their phones to help me find mine, but they went above and beyond and one of the workers(Chris if I remember correctly) went out to look for it while another let me borrow his phone to call mine. Long story short– I eventually got my phone back but these guys were so gracious and genuine– great staff that made my day.

Found what I needed, then more that I wanted. Everything is on the expensive side, but it’s a convenient store in Carnegie Hill.

This is a local business that I am super happy to support. They have a dizzying array of items– from kitchen supplies to photo frames and iphone speakers and Mighty Wallets. I can always count on coming here to find a high quality gift for a birthday, housewarming, or wedding. The best part of this shop is undoubtedly the staff. They are über friendly and helpful. I get the sense they are sincerely hoping to help you find what you need— and not breaking your bank. Janet helped me pick out a photo frame for a wedding present– and she wrapped it too! I would consider this place a one stop shop for gifts: D

This is my ‘go to’ store for house/hardware items/gifts/‘stuff’ AND they have lightbulbs, screws, hooks, specialty cleansers and gadgets. LOVE this shop! Everyone so helpful and friendly!

Polite and friendly staff makes this housewares emporium stand out. It’s stuffed with stuff, and it can be difficult to negotiate the aisles, especially on weekends. Half hardware store(meaning they’ve got everything, but you’ll need help to find it), half gift shop(of the clever tchotchka variety). They do SodaStream canister exchanges, a rarity for small local shops. To be clear, this Feldman’s and the one at Lexington and 83rd used to be owned by the same man; now they are owned by relatives but are otherwise unconnected. I appreciated it when a clerk here kindly gave me the phone number for the other location when they were out of stock of the item I wanted. However, I did notice that identical items stocked by both stores are much more expensive here. On the one hand, some in this neighborhood won’t notice or care. On the other hand, I did, and I do.

What a great shop for finding cute and original novelties for the home. It is a great place to find gifts for the NYC lover. It is a little pricey but worth it for the uniqueness of it all.

Really enjoyed this place. Went there for a pie dish and wanted to buy so much more. Nice selection of baking stuff, cooking stuff and lots of odd, quirky household items. The staff was really friendly as well, which is always a plus.

Unlike Home Depot, the people at this hardware store are nice, polite, helpful and not threatening or retarded. Or rude. I wish Feldman’s could renovate my kitchen! I love their selection of home goods. Beautiful candles, cute toys, pretty napkins, etc. But…very overpriced, but hey, it’s the UES.

Good comprehensive houseware shop with almost everything under the sun. From the usual bakeware to quirky salt and pepper shakers and to more advanced cooking items like kitchen torches(my roommate woudl have killed me if I got this one considering I almost blew up the toaster oven and microwave) and milk frothers. When I feel inspired to be like Rachel Ray on drugs, I come here. The salespeople are really nice, helpful, and polite, and are quick to help answer questions.
