Rizzo’s Fine Pizza Co.

So it’s not my favorite pizza, I’m not a square slice kinda girl to begin with.
The regular square slice has a very mild, sweet sauce with a bit of cheese hanging out in the middle. I prefer the cheese incorporated, the flavor of the sauce more balanced. It almost tasted like bowling alley pizza.
But the buffalo chicken pizza was delicious! I think they may call it the Diavola Pizza on their menu. Grilled chicken, red onion, bacon, BBQ sauce, and cheese. The BBQ sauce is out of this world, it’s not overly sweet or vinegary, it’s thick with a perfect tang. And the red onions work really well.
And the loaded garlic knots brought the hold thing to another level. Bacon and cheese and basil pesto and tomato sauce and garlic; why even serve garlic knots any other way? These were sooooo good. I want them now. Now damn it!
They have two storefronts, a takeaway spot and connected to that next door is a bar and restaurant with a great happy hour. I’ll definitely be back.

Recipe for success:
1) Exceptional customer service. The servers /​bartenders are a family… and they make you feel that way with every visit.
2) High quality pizza. Large portions and a huge variety of toppings and pizza options.
3) Great prices. The happy hour special cannot be topped. A great way to start the night.
Highly recommended. Will absolutely visit again.

Rizzo’s is the greatest pizza in NYC hands down! (I know I know– that’s a BOLD statement but I speak the truth always.) The sauce is perfection! The entire staff is so welcoming and loving. Shout out to Nancy & Bugsy for being the coolest! I always feel right at home thanks to you guys! So nice to be greeted with a warm smile and incredible hospitality. Best deal in town– buy a pizza and get a pitcher of beer or bottle of wine for $ 2! If you’re not as hungry as me you can get a slice, salad, or panini and get a beer or wine for only $ 1! Also, $ 3 pints or glasses of wine all day everyday til 7pm! Can’t beat these deals with a stick! I always bring friends & family here & everyone leaves full & happy! This place is the BEST! Where’s the cheese, I ask!
I paid for two squares of margarita pizza, which cost almost $ 9, and there was hardly any cheese on it at all. Maybe one small slice of cheese on each piece of pizza. It was more expensive than the «plain cheese,» but was pretty much just saucy bread.

Its not terrible… I just can’t get into the bready crust… like toasty. The ingredients are great. …but the dryness of the crust is not my cup of tea. Some may enjoy but not me.

I have to update my review. The service here is absolutely horrible here. We sat waiting for 30 minutes for our pie and asked if it was done. The woman behind the counter handed us the pie. We asked how long it was sitting there and she said she didn’t know and got back on the phone and ignored us. Absolutely ridiculously bad service. I will not be back

Thanks Über 5^th Birthday in NYC I got to try the BBQ chicken pizza for free. It was delicious and perfect. I finally found BBQ chicken pizza as good as the one I tried in Miami. The square pizza here is small but good enough for me. This portion is perfect for me since I want to eat healthy now. This is one of my favorite pizza restaurants now. I definitely will come back to try the other pizzas here and come for happy hour. I’m happy I got to try the pizza here.

Rizzo’s is the best !!! The pizza is amazing and the staff is super friendly !!! I had the Vegan Pizza so happy I was able to get a seat here. I wanted to take a photo but it was too late I already ate the whole pizza. Great place to go with friends they have a beer and wine bar. I love this place ! Also a great date place.

Five stars for good food, excellent service and great ambience in the LES area. I got the groupon and it was well worth it. My cuz and I will be back.

Love the square personal pizza pie, though a star off as for the price one may expect a bit more. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the ambiance, food, and service. Give it a shot.

Came here for the gluten free pizza (for a friend, I’m okay with it but prefer regular). They have a lot of options if you’re looking for gluten free and the crust was nice and crispy. They also have happy hour on some wine and beer so would recommend taking advantage of that. The service was pretty good as well.

I was so surprised this place was not crowded and was quiet, quite rare for a place like that in NYC.
We had the loaded knots, the four cheese, the artichoke recommended by our awesome waitress and the chicken one

Crust is nothing special, Don’t see hype of the square pizza here. Kinda Bready and not enough bite to the crust. Toppings were nothing special either
–Putanesca (without the red onions): I wanted something with mushrooms.
–carnosa: definitely for the meat lovers! Tastier toppings than the Putanesca but again the crust just doesn’t do it for me
Personal pizzas are $ 16 each which is kinda pricey for a personal pizza! I could only finish half so maybe I’d just share an appetizer and one pizza

for real, best pizza experience I’ve ever had. here’s why.
1. our service! she was the best! it was pretty busy, and she was alone, and she nailed it. Extremely detailed in explaining the Special, but not overbearing at all. Very helpful! And when we mentioned we wanted to visit Flushing during our trip she was like ‘um no’ and told us to go to Astoria instead and gave us a million good reasons why. Also, we bonded over our love of bao.
2. the Happy Hour deals are so good! (see the picture)
3. restaurant is cozy & clean, wifi is free & good!
4. THE PIZZA! SO GOOD! we got a tomato, mushroom, basil, ham I don’t ever remember but it was so good. no tomato sauce, thin crust, oh man.
5. I asked for hot sauce or chili flakes or whatever, and she brought out this homemade ghost pepper oil (while warning us over & over that this stuff was not to be messed with) and it was perfect! so good.
I will definitely be back!

Deserves all five of the stars!
First time visiting NYC and decided to use a local Groupon to check out the pizza scene. So there is a Lot of pizza places, but this one definitely takes the slice (sorry).
Came in for Valentine’s day brunch with a Groupon for a pie + two drinks for 19. I wished I got our server’s name because she was just brilliant! She had such a good spirit and just warmed you up! The place itself is tucked in Clinton St, and is pretty small and cosy.
We got one of the meater pizzas with bacon (all prices the same) and it was amazing. Perfect thin crispy crust and not at all too oily.
The server also had her own special hot sauce/​oil that her family makes! SPICE IS MY THING AND SHE MADE ME FALL IN LOVE. It’s not too spicy where it’ll ruin the taste of the pizza, but it’s enough to give your pie a kick while leaving you the taste.
I would definitely come again when in the area. I’m also drooling as I’m writing this review so I should stop and book another flight back to NYC.

There are pizza shops and there are pizza establishments and this is definitely and establishment.
I found this place late night after drinks with a friend and I’m glad I did. This place has everything you could ever want and the quality you need in great pizza.

My friends and I decided to stop by here to grab a quick bite to eat after a trip to the Boba Guys next door. They had just came here a few days prior and were raving about how delicious the thin– crusted slices were.
After careful consideration, I settled for the spinach slice with ricotta cheese. I had my order to go and after about 15 minutes, I was finally ready to dig into my slice. Overall, I wasn’t pleasantly impressed and I was sorta expecting better. The slice was cold by the time I was ready to eat it and it lacked flavor.
I believe that this experience wasn’t the best representation that they had of themselves and I am looking forward to coming back and and trying their other different slices.

We ordered away from the menu at the suggestion of our server and it was delicious. The secret pie was very similar to Artichoke’s famous white pizza but they did it thin crust, gluten free and it was absolute heaven. At $ 17 per personal pie, it’s pretty pricey but I didn’t get sick after and I had two slices left over for breakfast the next day so it was worth it.
The place looks tiny (next door from the take-​out only section) but it can easily hold 20 – 25 dine-​in customers at a time. It wasn’t crowded when we came in but it got packed quickly as we were finishing dinner. Come early, leave happy.

I made a reservation for 8 people at 9pm. We all arrived promptly at 8:50pm to check in but a large group was still eating. They offered to get us drinks while we waited but there was not too much room to stand and wait. So we offered to get a drink and come back at 9:15. We had a drink around the corner at Park Side Lounge. We came back at 9:20 and the party was still sitting there but looked to be figuring out the bill so we waited outside. We hung around until another 30 minutes before we were seated. The staff was nice about the whole ordeal. They ended up buying us a pie which definitely softened the sting of 50 minute wait while having a reservation. The food and service was great. We ordered a couple bottles of Chianti and Pinot Noir $ 30ish Each. For Pizza, we did a mix of their Square and Round pies.
The Americana was filled Grilled Chicken, Homemade BBQ Sauce, Bacon, Red Onions, and Mozzarella (No Tomato Sauce). The combo of smoky and sweet made the pizza pop with flavor. Plus the crunchy texture of the onions and bacon was great.
The Diavola was the same as the Americana with Grilled Chicken, BBQ Sauce, Bacon, Red Onions, and Mozzarella plus it had hots sauce and Parmesan Aioli. (No Tomato Sauce). Get the Square it holds up the three sauces better than a round would.
The Ditta had sausage, mushrooms, bacon, pepperoni, pesto, and mozzarella. I am not sure how I feel about this one. It was good but not knock-​my-​socks-​off.
The Mafioso had sausage, peppers, black and green olives, capers, and mozzarella. It had an intense briny flavor but good for my tastes.
The Margherita was classic with sweet plum tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella, and red onions. Must be ordered as a round.
The Quattro Formgaggi was a white pizza with Ricotta, Mozzarella, Romano, garlic and Parmesan Aioli. (No Tomato Sauce). This was great as a thin crust round.
I cannot remember if we got a Verdura or a Primavera but the vegetarian pie was quite good even if it didn’t have any meat.
We finished with some housemade cannoli. I had two.

Excellent service, unbelievable happy hour specials, and delicious Sicilian crispy pizza.
My first time here, they were kind to answer my many questions about the seemingly impossible deal of a slice of pizza and a local draft for $ 4.90. 3 beers on tap could be paired with any square slice of pizza.
There’s a better deal for groups: buy a pizza, get a pitcher of beer for $ 2. Amazing.
The sicilian cheese pizza comes in a square form — it is hot, crispy, and just enough sauce/​cheese. We also tried the meatball pizza — excellent as well.
The waitress was kind and attentive, and the experience was overall super. Would definitely recommend :)
