Food is alright. If you when it is even remotely busy it will take you 45 minutes and they will lie to you repeatedly and say«It’s the next one up.» I watched 5 people who ordered after me get their food after I was told this, and this happened on 2 occasions. The food isn’t worth that.

First of all, EXTREMELY fast delivery. The food literally took 15 minutes to arrive at my doorstep from the moment I clicked the«Submit» button on Seamless. Granted that I was probably the first customer(ordered at 11:10AM, arrived at 11:25AM), I was still dubious of the quality of food given the speed of how everything was prepared — from processing the order to cooking the food to packaging to delivery(the restaurant is about 3 miles away from my apartment). Beyond the speed of preparation /delivery, the food was quite tasty. I had the Pad Thai with organic chicken($ 12), while my friend got the Drunk Man Noodle with Steak($ 15). The Pad Thai was your standard pad thai with good sweet + spicy seasoning, rice noodles, egg, bean sprouts, and other vegetables, and then sprinkled with peanuts. The noodles were a bit clumpy and overcooked, but other than that I was pretty satisfied. My friend’s Drunk Man Noodle with Steak had real CHUNKS of steak. I think it was definitely worth the extra $$ you had to pay for this protein. The noodles were wide and thick enough for the chewier texture. She asked for the drunk man noodle to be not very spicy, and they essentially gave her Pad See Ew… We shared the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. I recommend NOT getting this one. The sticky rice was really hard in the center, and tasted like someone just took a bowl of rice and squeezed it into a cylinder shape. The mango on the side tasted like radish — no sweetness at all! Rhong Tiam doesn’t offer lunch special, but the portion for the entrees are much bigger. I prefer it this way because who wants greasy spring roll and stale salad anyways? I’d much rather have a bigger portion of the main entrée.

One of the most depressing and poorly managed spots I’ve had the misfortune to stumble upon. I walked in and the cashier/server is on his cell phone and asks immediately what do «you want».like if I must know their Menu by heart, he of course has a big tip jar that says«Is good Karma to leave a tip» what for exactly? Continue. I order a soup and after waiting next to one of their Delivery guys who’s blatantly and annoyingly listening to music from his cell phone + the local’s background music I’m called by the lazy attendant who’s still on his cell phone and pretends to receive a TIP when the costumer(ME) has to stand up and pick up the food.well.guess what? it doesn’t matter if you eat there or to go they serve everything in a plastic container and you got to eat it like if you were in the most horrendous ghetto joint. This place is like a Chapter of the«Twilight Zone», is an Absurd Rude Cheap Place! Do not go

Quick Thai eatery with pretty good food as well as smoothies and juice. — FOOD: I had two chickpea roti wraps, which were quite tasty and filling; a good deal at about $ 9. The three star rating, however, is partially because my fellow diner’s meal was not up to par. He had pad see eaw, which is normally a very mild dish, but it was so peppery he could barely eat it. We also got smoothies, since they have a smoothie happy hour, but they were out of bananas and grapes so could only make one kind of smoothie. That one smoothie — a tropical mix of mango, strawberry, and pineapple — was quite good, but it would have been nice to have options. — FORTHEVEGGIES: They seem to have a variety of vegetable options, but I was a bit thrown off about which dishes were purely vegetarian and which just had veggies and tofu(I.e., they could contain fish sauce). The roti wraps were clearly labeled as vegetarian, so I went with those and was not disappointed! — SERVICE: The service was friendly but honestly not as quick as I had expected, given it is supposed to be fast food. We ordered our meals and at least 7 minutes later decided to order smoothies, which came out before our meals did; not a big deal, just slower than anticipated. — ATMOSPHERE: Very casual, and a relatively small space so expect a crowd at lunch.

Super good gluten-free thai. Best pad thai I’ve had in New York. Pad See Ew had a delicious citrus flavor. Everything tastes fresh. Will definitely go back often.

Been here only once and ordered the pad see ew to go. The price seemed $ 1-$ 2 higher than other Thai places around but I think I read it’s organic chicken and they didn’t seem to have skimmed on the chicken. The dish is normally sweeter at other places I get them at but at Rhong Tiam, there’s a hint of spice and it’s not too sweet. Since I work around there, I’d give it another try and probably order their wraps and see.

Unreasonably slow. Food is fine, but absolutely not worth the wait. Ordered 4 wraps and half an hour later they were done. This is obviously typical because the staff was pretty rude when we asked about our order. This place won’t last so put your order in now and maybe you’ll get it sometime next month.

I’ve been here twice and both times have been truly awful experiences. The first time I went we had to wait for God knows how long until we got our food(I only ordered a rice dish). The food itself was marginal at best but I got very sick from it that night, not being able to leave my apartment to go out with my friends. The second time I ordered a simple salad(lettuce, carrot, cucumber, tomato) w/chicken. It took 10 minutes longer to get my food than my friends who ordered various other dishes only a minute or two before I did and THEYFORGOTTHECHICKEN. I had to wait 15 minutes for lettuce and dressing then an extra 5 for the chicken once I asked for it. There was no room in the plastic container to put the chicken or dressing so I just ended up eating the chicken by itself separately from the rest of the salad. So overall the food was not very good, too expensive and the service was an absolute joke. I’d recommend elsewhere.

This food is good, but not 30 min wait good. Unacceptably long. Also my friends who ordered after me got their food a solid 10 mins before mine. Not worth it for lunch

This is for the Express location on 39th and Lex. It is unsupportable that the prices on Seamless Web, including for pick up orders, are around $ 3 more per entrée than if you call and order or go in and order. My three entrees totaled $ 9 more than on their paper menu. They had no satisfactory explanation for this price-gouging.

I’m pretty sure they put crack or something in their food. It’s so frickin’ delicious. I highly recommend their coconut lemongrass organic chicken. It’s cheaper than most of their menu items at $ 10 and it is ADDICTING. I was full half-way through but I.could.not.stop.eating. Their curry is also really tasty… really though, everything here is tasty.

Man oh man, I haven’t left a one star review in a few months, let’s see if I can keep my snark in check. Five of us arrived at Rhong Tiam around 12:20 today, we placed orders within the span of 5 minutes. The orders consist of Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and three Rice on Rice. The rice on rice orders arrived around 12:35 — 12:40, approximately 15 minutes after ordering. It says«2 minutes grab and go» next to the rice onrice entrees on the blackboard, but I guess during lunch hours it takes them 7 times longer than the promised time, no big deal, it’s lunch rush, I forgive you. So then came the pad see ew, at 12:50. The order was placed at 12:23, so it took them 27 minutes to cook a pad see ew, really? Even worse, the Pad Thai came out at 12:55 even though it was placed at 12:24, so it took them 31 minutes to make a Pad Thai. Excuse me, are you a THAIRESTAURANTORNOT? DOYOUNOTKNOWHOWTOCOOKPADTHAI? Oh wait, you actually aren’t a pure thai restaurant, with your Rotis wraps and what not. I guess it’s understandable that it took 31 minutes for an order of pad thai to come out right? NOIT’s NOT. It would have been ok if the pad thai was Mind Blowing. But guess what, the 31-minute pad thai was just average. Please, if I wanted average pad thais I would just go buy a frozen one from the grocery that cooks up in 5 minutes. Did I mention the pad thai was $ 12??? In what world is a 31 minute mediocre pad thai worth $ 12? The only way something like that would sell is if the restaurant is near a bunch of white collar office works in a metropolitan city who craves variety at lunch time… oh wait. At any rate, Hunger + Long Wait = pissed off customers. Get your Kitchen together Rhong Tiam, your chefs are not pulling their weight right now. I doubt you will go bankrupt any time soon since all these people keep coming back despite the wait of eternity. But imagine if you got your shit together, how much more business you could do. Just imagine.

I’m here for lunch for a takeout Thai. Pai Seewel is 19 dollars and waiting is 20 mins. This is in sane for a place like this. Very disappointed

Much like crack cocaine, going to this place once can lead to addiction. I went in the first time and ordered my now favorite Stay Chicken«rice over rice» dish. I went back every day for the same thing the rest of that week. It’s like that. And its such a great deal! it comes with white or brown rice, a spring roll, and a bit salad with dressing all in one container. It truly makes me happy. There are other«rice over rice» varieties too. Also– their roti wraps are an epically good deal. I swear I’ll try the rest of the menu, it’s just that I have a few things to work through right now, ok? Stop pressuring me! Tip: Order in person or by phone if they do that. Prices through seemless are all higher as far as I can tell.

What are they thinking ??? This review is for the new place on Lexington. Totally not authentic thai I mean baby corn in the pad thai and 6.00 for 1 potatoe curry puff are you serious. Bland flavor, high prices for non authentic food on par with something you would get in a mall food court. I have lived in Thailand I don’t expect it to be as authentic but try to get close. You want good Thai, go out to Queens about 20 places way better than this ! I can only think that the hipsters flock here because it’s got words on the menu like organic and gluten free or wild caught. What is the sense if the stuff is bland and boring shame on this chef trying to make a fast buck from dumb people ! Judging by how many people were in the Lexington Ave location on a prime Friday night after work, this place will close up soon unless the rent is free ! AVOID !!!

I’m obsessed. Rhong Tiam is actually Thai food heaven and offers many gluten free options! I go here to get my pad see-ew fix since typically it has soy sauce but at Rhong Tiam they make it gluten free! The other day I got their strawberry smoothie and I’m really picky when it comes to smoothies but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. Just the right amount of fruitiness and not too sweet.

I love this place, when I’m in the area I go out of my way to visit. Good for take out, but they have a few tables to eat at. What’s good? The roti wrap — stuffed with thai goodness. I like both the beef and curry chicken. The egg rolls are great too(pad Thai, lemongrass chicken, duck, etc). They also have a 2 min express meal for $ 9 with things like chicken satay and peanut gravy or tamarind duck over rice with egg roll, cabbage, and boiled egg included. The menu is fairly long with a lot of food apps/entrees/sides options, a lot of juice and smoothie choices and options(coconut, lychee, blackberry, cantaloupe, a lot more…) Prices vary from decent to expensive. But worth it! One of my favorite places in the gramercy/flatiron area.

Picture me running between jobs in full make-up with 20 minutes to get food, eat, and digest before I’m back in stilettos being squeezed into another outfit. Talk about right place, Rhong Taim! Sorry, couldn’t resist. Thankfully 5:40pm on a rainy Wednesday is a slow hour for the normally line-out-the-door Rhong Taim Express. I told the lovely woman at the cash register that I was vegan, and she immediately knew to make my Pad Thai with veggies, tofu, and no eggs. I also asked her to help me break a tie between the vegetable spring rolls and veggie dumplings, and she immediately vouched for the latter. They were thick and packed with a tasty vegetarian stuffing, but was a little expensive at 4 for $ 6. My total(entrée, side, free cup of ice water) came out to just over $ 19 which is on the pricey side for a fast dinner, but worth every delicious bite. I hated that lack of time forced me to scarf down that juicy, savory(and extremely HOT) meal instead of giving it the time and loving appreciation it deserved. Now that I know a place I can reliably get fresh and tasty Pad Thai in Flatiron however, I foresee a lot of my future delivered food originating from here.
