Only go to Kelly … She does EXACTLY what you ask which I appreciate a lot. Also does a great blow out and will give u lost of volume if you ask… Who wouldn’t want volume!?! Bottom line: go see Kelly u will leave very happy!

Was looking for Massimo who is gone and had Leslie cut my hair. She was amazing and I got the best cut I’ve had in a while.
Will return for sure.

Love. The salon (the ambiance, the espresso, the wine), the stylist (Leslie, although I know Massimo is well revered too), the assistant (Carly is a fantastic hair washer) and the general demeanor of everyone who works there. It is always lively, funny, warm and welcoming. The prices are more than reasonable for NYC (note I was going a few streets away to a good hairdresser for nearly 3 x the price!) and I have grand faith in my stylist. Recently I chopped off all my lovely long thick blonde locks (which I had loved having blown out in a curly style by Leslie), to a funky short pixie cut. It is the best cut I have ever had. My life is that much easier, and styling takes next to no time in the morning (read a quick brush and maybe a puff of product). I have never had my hair this short before, however after a momentary wig out when it was being done, I was reassured that it was going to be great, all thanks to my stylist. I am enjoying rocking my new look with confidence, all thanks to Revolver.

My usual hairdresser is on vacation so I was getting shaggy. I called around a bunch of the Japanese places on 9^th and nobody could give me even an estimate of what the cut would be even though I was very explicit. This made me nervous because I have really short hair, and a bad cut is almost impossible to hide or correct (and I’ve had bad experiences at other EV salons before, which I why I have stuck with my usual guy forever).
Ricky’s Revolver, otoh, was incredibly professional and explained that while they would have to see my hair for a final pricing (of course, I expected that) they could give me a ballpark.
I made a same-​day appointment with Leslie, whom I highly recommend. She asked all the right questions (when did I last have it cut, how short do I want to go, usual styling product, etc) and then got to work.
I almost feel disloyal to my Usual Guy for saying this, but it’s one of the best cuts that I’ve had in years. It’s the first time in ages that I got a real razor cut (as opposed to just thinning shears) and it made a huge difference in my hair texture (I rock a women’s short spiky cut, but office-​friendly).
Conversation during the cut was great; Leslie and her crew were also really good and polite at fielding questions from folks who walked in without interrupting my cut.
Total cost was the estimate – no surprises here – at $ 50 for a cut that took a little over an hour to do, which is very fair. They also take credit cards which is another plus. As a bonus, they were also having a summer 2-​for-​1 sale on styling products, and I am a total product junkie, so it was all around a great haircut day for me.
Afterwards, I walked through the salon into the attached Ricky’s store, which is yet another perk. FYI if you have a fave stylist, call ahead because most of the stylists work more than one Revolver location.

I have to admit how much I love this place. I don’t write reviews often at all but I have to say that I love this salon. I have had trouble finding the right place in new york and unfortunately have been to many TERRIBLE places. Leslie at Revolver is amazing (like Kellie at Lovemore)! She is amazing — thorough, friendly and helpful. she offered to help me fix the disaster hairstyle from Extreme Color (UWS). the service is not only excellent but the prices for a single process is beyond reasonable. oh and let me tell you the blowout at Revolver is not only reasonably priced but my hair looked amazing — bouncy, full and lovely. i’ll definitely venture back there often from the west side. i should have taken more advantage of the services at Revolver and Leslie’s expertise when i lived on the street.

I had a really lovely experience at the Revolver Salon. I’m pretty picky when it comes to my hairstylist (as i would imagine most women are). But when i say picky i mean, i have some serious standards when it comes to what i deem to be a good stylist.
Anyway,
I was approached by Sharon, one of the stylists from Revolver, while browsing through Ricky’s. On a whim i booked an appointment for that very moment. The products they use are of superb quality,
They had Morrocan Oil shampoo on hand which was such a great surprise. Sharon was awesome. She asked me all the right questions, corrected my posture (no legs crossed) and walked me through her thought process for the cut. Her etiquette for handling a new client was impeccable.
I will definitely go back, I can see Sharon being the type of stylist that will really learn your particular hair quirks and will be able to help craft and maintain a cut that works best for you.
