They have a cute patio in the back! If it’s summer and that’s what you’re looking for, stop here. The prices are reasonable and the bartenders are fine. The bar itself seems dark and gloomy but the patio is very nice. It’s cute, hipster, but unfortunately doesn’t really have a view except for the toys on the back porch of the family that lives above this establishment. It’s quiet though and if all you care about is affordable drinks, quiet, and being outside — just go here.

Sweet place! Great service(cute bartender) and really nice ambience. This place is classy and chill at the same time. Wine happy hour was really affordable, especially for such a nice place! The staff was welcoming and asked us to come back and tell them how the show was when we were done. It was on the early side so it wasn’t crowded at all. Oh, and the best part, GREATMUSIC playing — the best play list I heard in any bar locally. Will return.

This is for happy hour on Friday evening: Great bar if you want to blow out your friends’ eardrums asking them how their day was among the cacophonous clientele. Bartenders need to wipe the stank off of their face and get laid before going to work. Just a suggestion. The décor and design inside is cool however. The patio was packed when I came(even though it was cold) and it looked like it could be nice to hang out on a summer’s night. Happy hour is reasonable. Not horrible but not worth seeking out.

Cute, open courtyard in the back. $ 20 credit card minimum, but balanced out by the $ 5 draft beers.

Cozy little bar right around the corner from Union Square. I would usually balk at using the word cozy and anything within a 6 block radius of Union Square but no really, trust me! Came here after a snafu-filled Sunday date night to settle down with said date over a few drinks. Enjoyed a few well made(and reasonably priced) Manhattans. Vibe was great for the aforementioned date, or would also work with a few friends after work. Free popcorn too!

Revival is definitely a go to after a late night at the office, but not if you’re looking for a vibrant scene. The vibe was laid back. My ex colleague and I wanted to catch up on life and work, so she recommended Revival — good choice girl. The patio is gorgeous, especially on a fall evening when the weather is perfect. I ordered a pumpkin beer, she ordered a cocktail and we chatted about life, our careers and a little bit of gossip for an hour or so. Of course we grabbed a cup of the free popcorn at the bar, and of course we went for seconds. The bartender was extremely friendly. She gave me a shot on the house just so my friend wouldn’t have to take her shot alone. This is where you’ll find me if I’m in the area and want to catch up with an old friend, or chill out with a new one.

Stumbled upon this cozy bar in search for a drink near the Gramercy area. Good happy hour specials, two floors, warm décor and nice layout. Despite the many seating options, your best bet is coming a little before peak hours to snag a comfy nook. Not to mention the chardonnay was delicious — will be back!

Awesome outdoor space, great drink specials and an awesome manager. Owned by the same people as Headless Horsemen and Ichabod’s down the block, so expect the same service but just a little more laid back. Only wish we had discovered this place sooner.

Seriously? If you think this is a dive bar, you need a re-education in NYC dive bar 101.(Much-beloved, much-missed… gone-forever) Holiday on St. Mark’s was a dive. Iggy’s is a dive. Double Down is a dive. Cups is a dive. Ding Dong is a dive. This– is not a dive bar. OK? Got it? Good. I don’t even usually review bars but since I started one JUST to say the above– this place is pretty OK. The sign is big, making the place easy to find– I was about to do the«15th&3rd, what’s the exact address, better Google… duh!» So that was nice. It’s the kind of place where you can kind of park your ass with a bunch of friends for hours and hours, drink, and talk at moderate volume, with occasional loud laughters in mild-weathered nights. If that sounds like a good time– my friends are awesome so yeah, I had a good time– you will have a good time. Power of intention and all that stuff.

Nice speakeasy well lit backspace with a clear view of the local ambiance. Amazing for those summer breeze days, a little trustfundy types, but great atmosphere. May come again. Demetri /Ellyze

Great happy hour deals? Check. Cozy patio? Check. Summer bar requirements = met. Those are honestly the only 2 reasons I keep coming back. Being able to throw back $ 5 well drinks until 8pm in their charming little patio out back is a seasonal treat. It gets packed out there, especially when the weather’s beautiful, but if you pick your spot well, you can eventually snag a seat from someone who’s leaving or weak enough to give up their spot to relieve their bladder. Maybe. *Bonus: From what I saw on my last visit there, they now have a popcorn maker! Discovering this only as we were closing out our tab, my friend decided to grab some for the road. Spare us from your judging eyes, bartender.

Cool little place. I’m biased because my friend works here, but I finally got around to visiting her the other night and I ended up really liking the venue. The downstairs area where the bar is is small, but they have an upstairs seating area as well. Definitely a no frills bar which is my kind of place. No food, but they do have fresh popcorn to snack on and they allow outside food(thank you seamless). I’ll definitely be back again.

Sooooo the bartender(young, basic, brown hair and mousy) was super rude. She scolded our party and was way rude to our CEO. We’ve had several after work events at this place — this was the last time. No one needs to be chided by a rude bartender, when New York has so many great bars. Next. Ps. They received a B health rating. That’s no good. Do you know how many violations it takes to get a B. Find yourself near Union Square and in need of a beer, then Revival isn’t too shabby. Ok, it was my first bar visit in NYC so I didn’t have anything to compare it to, but the back terrace was bustling with post-work drinkers and we were lucky enough to get a table so that improved things greatly. The bar staff will also take your orders whilst sat outside, which saves you from having to traipse through the hordes. Having to queue to use the restrooms though? That’s a star loss from me I’m afraid!

gotta love revival once it’s leather jacket weather and warmer, for the outdoor patio and chill vibe. revival is one of my favorite spots to suggest to friends for post-work meet ups as it’s as central as you can get without being in a sea of bros a la Murray hill, and it’s got a bangin’ happy hour until 7 with $ 5 well drinks. unfortunately this place is far from a NYC best kept secret; the patio area does get pretty crowded as the weather gets nicer and the bar has been packed almost every time i’ve visited. luckily there is a cute lounge upstairs with casual seating that can accommodate larger groups. no food is served here so it’s definitely more of a place to hit before your main activity or after, but we did order a pizza for our group the last time we went and they delivered it right to our area — sweet.

I’ve been going to this bar for a few years. Great happy hour that goes until at least 8pm. Most of the bartenders are good. There is a great upstairs and outdoor space for groups, but you still have to go down to the bar for drinks if you choose to sit in the upstairs/outdoor area. One of my favorite things about this place is that they don’t serve food because you can order delivery of anything you want(better than typical bar food imo). I’m sure this place will remain a go-to for my friends and I.

Great bar for sitting out on the patio in the summer. Downstairs is kinda crowded and sports-bar like(although it isn’t) — it’s just kinda loud with lots of «bro» types. Upstairs is delightful though! Much quieter and has a more relaxed atmosphere.

So Revival got a revival(sometime in 2014, I’m guessing)…Their upstairs was full of saggy, kind of dingy(but comfortable) couches and is now much sleeker, with a lot of wood, less wobbly tables, and some new artwork. The booth seating is pretty comfy, but I’m not sure about the stools. The downstairs is pretty much the same as before, just a narrow bar, 2 restrooms, and entrance to the backyard. Can’t wait to pop by here on a pleasant weeknight. They have a $ 20 card minimum and you might need to get 3 drinks to make it because their prices are pretty reasonable(especially for the neighborhood).

Had birthday drinks here. Cool spot. Happy hour til 8pm. Great prices for beer and wine. The bartenders are super friendly. If you are sitting upstairs there are no bartenders, you have to keep going up and down to get your drinks. Very busy spot. Great place to go with 3 – 4 friends. Get there by 6:30/7 to get a spot.

Cutesies… went for a class drinking/get to know you celebration and they gave us the whole top floor. Didn’t spend much time there, but I would potentially think about it if I were in the area again. It’s right by union square, so it has some stiff competition, but the prices were ok.

Revive yourself with Revival Bar! Revival Bar is a decent nightlife scene with a nice outdoor patio and life-like wall murals. Friday night in Union Square after work to chill with a co-worker who is my second. Unfortunately, it does not revival my inner sparks as it is not full-service bar. Not everything appears to be of what it actually is. When requesting for my usual drinks nearly every answer spewed was«no.» Me: I like a Mojito please. Revival: «We do not have mint to make a Mojito.» Me: How about Sangria? Revival: «We do not have fruit and no sweetener as the base ingredients.» Whoa! Meh. After an exhaustive work day I thought I can come here to chill and enjoy the moment only to became increasingly aggravated and annoyed. Me: Okay, what about a Cosmopolitan then? Revival: «Yes.» There is a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel! My drink was strong but good. Bar tender was dismissive when responding with her repeated«no’s» to nearly every drink request. My co-worker ordered his default bar drink Long Island Ice Tea. We drank our fill and departed. Revival has no food but patrons can certainly order food to be brought in. Atmosphere appears rustic and under the bar counter there are hooks for purses and bags rather than to uphold on one’s lap. All in all and all in this bar it was really MEH.
