ReBUILD Workshop

I contracted Themis’ team during the summer to renovate my condo, including installing new flooring, shelving, and expanding the closets. The end results exceeded my expectations and my home not only looks excellent, but is much more usable now. We actually had specific requests on how to build out the apartment, but after in depth consulting with the team, they recommended much better options and now the place looks much more aesthetically pleasing than before!
I am extremely happy with the quality work and the open communication throughout the project. Having worked with other contractors before, the biggest problem is always the lacked of communication leading to a sense of distrust. There was absolutely no such feeling with the A+ crew at reBuild. In fact all the craftsmen were a delight to have around, especially Jimmy and George who both had a great sense of humor and many wonderful stories from all their years in the business.
Lastly, I cannot stress how impressed I was with the respect they gave our home. Each time I would return to the condo to take a look at the progress, I would find everything meticulously covered, taped up and treated properly. Even my super commended their professionalism.
I highly recommend rebuild and will certainly look to them for my future projects.

I worked with reBUILD Workshop on the design/​build of my apartment in Prospect Heights. You can actually see some of the photos on reBUILD’s current landing page (the 5^th, 13^th, and 14^th).
My wife and I were incredibly pleased with the work that was done. Originally we were working with Peter, but he transitioned the project to Themis subsequent to some of the initial work. Themis both maintained the aesthetic vision for the apartment as well as closely managed the work of Jimmy, our general contractor. Themis was excellent and very much on top of things in a number of ways:
1. He met with us weekly (or more frequently, if needed) at the apartment to walk through details or issues we had spotted during construction.
2. Themis responded in a very prompt fashion to any e-​mails /​questions we had. Almost all correspondence was answered within on day, and typically within a couple of hours. If urgent questions arose that required a longer conversation, he was flexible about finding time to have a quick chat during the day.
3. Themis helped insert his aesthetic preferences and vision at points when we had no strong beliefs; that’s part of the reason our apartment looks so great!
4. At a critical juncture in the process, the GC had installed our master bathroom fixtures in the second/​communal bathroom. We had two different sets of fixtures and so the «expensive» ones were placed in the wrong bathroom. Rather than rip out the fixtures and place them in the master bathroom, Themis suggested we just buy a duplicate set of fixtures for the master bathroom. Though it was largely the GC’s «fault,» reBUILD picked up the additional cost with no questions asked. This is the reason why design/​build should be preferred by residential buyers.
