I didn’t realize this was for her Park Avenue office. The last time I personally saw her was at Hudson Spine in Lower Manhattan. They take multiple insurances. The wait is long but there’s a variety of pain treatment specialists there. The wait was a little long the day I met her, but she accepts many different types of insurance through the state exchange. I saw her in her downtown office for headaches after booking through ZocDoc. She was one of the first specialists in a long time that not only didn’t condescend to me, but was kind, thoughtful, and wanted to help when I told her my problems were related to ear, neck and throat ears – not her specialty specifically. I told her was where and why I was my neck was hurting and she took me seriously; she was the first in a long line of other specialists. If you don’t have fantastic employer-provided insurance, the downtown clinic isn’t perfectly organized, but there’s WiFi and unlike a lot of specialists but Dr. Ravitz never made me feel like an idiot or tossed up her hands when I described the pain I was feeling and the suspected causes. Edited to add: Ask ahead of time how long the wait is and get there ONTIME. Even under those circumstances, you may have to wait at least 20 minutes because she is one of the few good specialists in the city that accepts Medicaid add-on plans.
