This should have been a simple transaction, but oh, like so many stories things just kept getting worst scene: a radio shack store that is actually a Sprint store, windy Sunday, my self as the only customer and 4 clerks, i am purchasing the Star Wars bb8 They are unsure of what products they have and don’t, for some reason they separate the store into sprint products and radio shack products, don’t know how to print a receipt or answer simple follow questions, and when they do the answer turns out to be wrong, for example will it work with my android? Yes, as long as it has Bluetooth, turns out that’s wrong, my phone needs to have one the newer OS versions to work(I should have seen this one coming) Then… Takes 2 clerks to print my receipt, after 5minutes I rush out so my head does not explode I call next day since there is a surcharge on my receipt, clerk does not know what it is, his manager is not in, I have to ask to what the manager call me instead of asking I call 2 more times since no one calls me It’s been weeks now and not sure what to do My research has found that they charged a telecommunications surcharge but that doesn’t apply to me buying a toy Second disappointment I’ve had with sprint(other issue has nothing to do with this store) In the long run I will stop using all sprint services I think, they need to train their staff better

Very awkward place to walk into, there’s sometimes no music playing and the employees don’t approach you unless you approach them first… They mostly just talk to themselves. I have nothing against Radio Shack because I get all my earbuds from this company. But this Radio Shack was very unprofessional. Every time I come in here(my school is literally right across the street so sometimes when time is a bit tight, it’s my only option) it’s just weird. And not a good experience. My last time there was a few days ago and I went to buy earbuds(of course) and it was a somewhat memorable one; but not in a particularly good way. 1) There was a gentleman on the phone towards the rear of the store and from what I could make of his conversation, he was attempting to walk a customer through how to reboot a particular product. Pretty familiar situation in an electronics store… Besides the fact that he was very impatient and not very polite to the customer. He was basically talking over and scolding this customer because the product wasn’t working. 2) There was a young Asian woman at the counter along with the young woman who helped me, who wouldn’t stop rolling her eyes at the customer. And she kept trying to force him to buy warranty when he clearly stated no, the first 4 times. The customer wasn’t the nicest guy on the block,(really sarcastic, cheap dude) but it’s called customer SERVICE for a reason. 3) While all 3 of these employees were helping the individual customers, they would start a conversation between themselves and crack jokes, while us customers were waiting. Thankfully, the young woman who helped me was nice and not as bad as the other 2 since she tried to at least pay attention to me while her coworkers were simply fucking around although I had to ask the same question 4 times as she proceeded through with my check out. I’m not a very picky person when it comes to service, but when you can’t control yourself in front of a customer, it just makes you and the company you’re working for look like a joke. I work for a restaurant as well, which involves constantly facing customers(yes, even the bitchy, annoying ones) and I try to control myself as much as possible. Even in front of regulars, you put up a polite front no matter what kind of person you actually are outside of work. So to the people who work here, please go learn some customer relation skills so you can actually treat customers like customers, and not your friends or people you can look down on. Or please do Radio Shack a favor and just quit.

I bought the UrBeats by Dre today at this location. I also bought the insurance. I opened the package and noticed that the earbud covers were dusty as if they had been repackaged. Then when I plugged them into my iPod NEITHER of the buds worked. I called the store immediately. The manager tried to talk over me and said that what I was saying couldn’t be true. He told me I also could not return them if the packaging was dusty and the product wasn’t working — the very reason I want to return them. I explained that I had just bought them no more than 45 min prior. I do plan to return them along with the insurance. I do not know the manager’s name, but he is an Asian gentleman. He needs to work on his people and customer service skills. Very rude and unhelpful. Never shopping with Radio Shack again.
