Radio City Music Hall is a fantastic destination, even if there’s no show there.(There are tours of the amazing entertainment palace available.) But if you can also see the Rockettes, then that’s the best way to enjoy the music hall. My spouse and I saw the 2016 Spring Spectacular. The Rockettes are amazing, and so are the special effects. What’s better than seeing ‘Singing In The Rain’ with real rain falling on the Rockettes on the monster-large stage. There’s also a live orchestra that comes up out of the dark. In the show, pictures and statues come to life. Although it’s aimed at tourists, we’re both NY’ers and we both enjoyed the show. Yes, the plot about two kids trying to find their parents is corny, but it was a hook to get the kids to visit every major NYC attraction. It’s playing now through August 7th, 2016. Do a web search for discount tickets because they seem easy to find. At least they were when we went in mid-June.

So a rep contacted me about my experience and offered to comp me for my time wasted at the concert for Bryson Tiller. I was happy to receive that compensation in the mail, but it took a while for it to get to me.(They expected me to change my review on the spot) So it looks like they have some kind of customer service in the back, but it could be better. I’ll add two stars, but it all was definitely not a five star experience.

I went there on a backstage tour to meet with the dancer and the stage when there is no show. It was beautiful inside and the dancer is super friendly. I will be back one day to see their show and update my review.

Radio City Music Hall is the best!!! Have seen the Christmas spectacular show and I’ve seen Gabriel Iglesias live at Radio City and every time I went I was always amazed. It’s such a great place to visit and see any show. If you haven’t seen the Radio City Christmas Spectacular show I highly recommend because the show is just so amazing and fun. Great for all ages and just gets you into the Christmas spirits. It is such a nice site to see during Christmas as well as they put lights and a tree on top. If you’re ever around Radio City during Christmas time I highly recommend going.

My memorable experience at Radio City is the fantastic Holiday Show. It was so long ago the Music Hall has been renovated since that time. Naturally the show was fantastic. I was moved just being there to finally experience seeing the Rockets live. There really isn’t any particular reason I’ve never returned. I guess I feel nothing would compare to the thrill of the original experience. I do intend to take the tour one day. I can handle feeling like a tourist to get all the details from a tour guide. I’d like to feel close to the spirits that I’m sure are lurking there. :-) Radio City Music Hall is a must for all visitors to NYC. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

strangely enough, I had never actually been to Radio City Music Hall until this past weekend. despite doing years of hard time in the New York City public school system(do you even French bread pizza + chocolate milk, bro?), we never had any class trips here, nor did my family ever go to see shows here. but when the almighty Dream Theater announced they’re playing their new obnoxiously long concept album in full at RCMH, I heeded the call and made my first pilgrimage here. oh man, what I’ve missed! as a big fan of Art Deco aesthetics, this place is AWESOME. the acoustics are excellent and seats are quite comfortable. we were on a higher floor but still had a great view of the band and stage setup. drinks are pricey, but not outrageously so. this is an excellent concert venue and I’m definitely coming back.

Shame on me – I’m a native New Yorker and have never stepped foot inside of Radio City Hall(or is this a common occurrence?). Anyway so I made my Radio City debut when I attended the Bryson Tiller concert on Friday. The concert was scheduled to start at 8 pm and I was inside the venue at 6:45 pm — avoided the lines. The workers outside and the ushers inside were attentive and knowledgeable showing concert goers their seats quickly. It was hassle free. Upon entrance I noticed how dark it is inside. I believe the burgundy carpet/seats and dim lightening contributes to that. There were concession stands to purchase alcoholic beverages, hot dogs, etc. The cost of food are fairly reasonable and aren’t your typical venue prices — translation: overpriced. Purchased a hot dog for $ 5.75 and pretzel for $ 4.25 I was in the orchestra section and I feel the distqnce between stage and seat was great for price. As the seats started to fill up, again ushers remained professional and attentive. The bathroom is on the lower level(brighter lights) and this is where you notice the organization of the venue. There are two ladies in the bathroom directing ladies to vacant stalls as we wait on line. This is such a good idea that expedite the bathroom experience. The exiting process went seamlessly and I’d definitely return to Radio City. **Bryson Tiller Concert** A new music duo by the name of THEY. was the opening act and the young guys were great. Reportedly, they’ve never toured before and I think they handled the NY crowd well. Their music style, I want to say, is a mixture of R&B, hip hop, electronic, rock-n-roll and soul. It was melodic and kept my interest. Bryson Tiller was amazing. He was transparent with the audience, sharing background stories about how certain songs(i.e. «Sorry Not Sorry» and«Don’t») came about. Though he was in a boot(injured his ankle during a trampoline session with his daughter), he moved around a lot on stage. We as a crowd were energetic singing along to songs off the album and Soundcloud days. I had an awesome time and will definitely attend another Tiller concert. I’m a fan!

What can I say. This place is so magical. I took a tour here with some classmates and was so pleasantly surprised with it. I wasn’t expecting to fully enjoy this experience but it was by far one of my favorite memories. I won’t tell you exactly what we saw on the tour because I don’t want to spoil it for you, but I mean look at my rating. This tour was life changing. For someone who’s studying theatre production(tech and design), this is a dream come true to experience. We got to meet one of the Rockettes, which was cool, and got to see underneath the stage. The place is so magical. And the POWDERROOM! Sounds materialistic but CMON! So many iconic women and celebrities have touched up their lipstick in that room and when I visited, so did I! Moment I’m never going to forget.

I got to experience this legendary theater by chance. We tried to get tickets to a few Broadway shows, but all the ones we were interested in were sold out. So, what we settled for were tickets to the Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes. I thought to myself, «Oh, gees…» I mean, this show must be an ancient snooze, right? Not at all! As soon as the show started, I was amazed. ATMOSPHERE: You’re about to step into a world famous venue, in the most vibrant city in the USA. Damn right I was excited, after only seeing it from the outside on numerous trips here! The posters, the bright lights, the theatrical vibe… It was naturally buzzing with all walks of life. The Grand Foyer is well, grand! The ceiling soars about 3 levels high in an art deco ambiance that is classic and bold. Inside the theater it’s just as grand. The stage is adorned with an arch that pays homage to a setting sun. We sat in the orchestra-level area which is quite large. There are also 3 additional levels of mezzanine balconies. For its age, this place is huge. Definitely the largest and most beautiful theater I’ve even been to. The seats were comfortable, acoustics & lighting were good, and the view was excellent. Purchased food and beverages are allowed inside the theater. THESHOW: Who knew that synchronized leg kicking could be so entertaining? LOL! The costumes, music and choreography were fun and entertaining. Very much recommended if you’ve never been before, or if your Broadway show is not available. SERVICE: The ushers were friendly and helpful.

Oh, Radio City Music Hall. You are a beautiful place with decent employees. I’ve been coming to you for events since I was a child. I’ve seen countless numbers of concerts, comedy shows, daytime Emmy awards, etc. at you. You are in a great location, easy to get to, the seats are comfortable, the rows are roomy(i.e. you don’t have to keep getting up and down when people pass), etc. I haven’t been here in a few years. I came here on Thursday to see New Order. New Order put on a FANTASTIC show, but a lot of things that happened here irked me that night. First thing that pissed me off. When I got up to the third mezzanine and went up to the concession stand to get a bottle of water to quench my thirst, I was blown away by the price of $ 5.50 for a small bottle of Dasani water! Damn! Yes, I know it’s NYC. Yes, I know it’s Radio City Music Hall. Of course the prices are gonna be exorbitant. Just didn’t think it would be that much of a rip off! They do take cards so that’s a plus. Second thing that grossed me out. Once I sat down I noticed something from the corner of my eye running around. Thought maybe I was just seeing things. I turned around to get a closer look and saw mice running all over the place! Ugh!!! Good thing the seat next to me was empty because I didn’t feel safe putting anything on the floor! Third thing. When New Order was just beginning to do their encore, someone from the staff very rudely came out and told them they had to hurry and get off stage. I understand that there may be time constraints, curfew, whatever, but for a measly three minutes you come out and interrupt a show? To me that was uncalled for. Because of that we had to pick one song we wanted to hear, they did it and they had to run off stage. Bogus. Yes, I’ll probably come back to Radio City but I’ll make sure I’m WELL hydrated and have mice proof footwear on.

Iconic The word has been used so many times, but few(if any) venues can match the prestige of selling out this Art Deco landmark. The seating is comfortable with good sight lines from nearly any seat — I prefer the first mezzanine, especially towards the front rows, to take in the majestic beauty of the space and hopefully a performance to match. Drinks are pricey in the venue, so you may want to do a pre-game happy hour, but options are somewhat limited in the immediate area. Head South and West to find better choices, but avoid the tourist traps.

What a stunning venue. It definitely has a feel of a time gone by glamour, but even in this theater’s old age, she still cranks out a great performance. Staff worked like well-oiled machines, they worked efficiently but also respectful. I came in to see the Impractical Jokers, at one of their sold out shows. Even with 6k+ people, the comedians sounded like they were speaking right in front of you. And even though we were seated up in the nosebleeds, they were still clear to see. The seats were pretty comfortable and there were no columns to obstruct anyones view. If you do choose to grab a drink, it will set you back over $ 10 for a beer. Not sure what the others cost, or what the snacks do, but there are plenty of places nearby to eat before or after the show.

I Heart Radio City Music Hall! Came here during the holidays to see the infamous Rockette’s perform their annual Christmas Spectacular. Wow! What an amazing show and the theatre is definitely vintage but absolutely gorgeous! Bring the kids! They will love it and be sure to arrive early so you can enjoy the Theatre District and partake in a little skating at the iconic Rockefeller Center!

Radio City Music Hall, located in the middle of Rockefeller Center, is one of the most gorgeous theaters I’ve been to! It has a beautiful domed interior design that is not only visually appealing but is also a great design acoustically. The iconic retro exterior of the theater, which has the neon red and blue ‘Radio City’ light up signs and Christmas tree is also incredibly beautiful. I would highly recommend everyone to see the Christmas Spectacular show at Radio City Hall which features the famous dancing Rockettes — this show is a must when you are in NYC during Christmas. The show which is in 3D(spoilers!) also runs until the first week of January, so if you are in NYC during New Years or after, you still have the opportunity to watch this show. The only thing I wish could be improved is the seat design of the orchestra section, which doesn’t really have much of an elevation from the back of the orchestra to the front and the stage itself is not elevated that much above the orchestra level. I am petite, at 5′ 3″, and the people sitting directly in front of me weren’t particularly tall either, but I couldn’t see anything without arching my neck to the side because they were still slightly taller than me. This made my viewing experience not optimal, and anyone who is considered petite or below average will have a difficult time watching the show if they are sitting at the orchestra level and there is someone sitting in front of them blocking the entire view of the show. If Radio City Hall can improve the design of the orchestra section, then this theater will be top notch.

I absolute love this place!!! Everytime I come I have an amazing time. I have always been so fortunate to sit in the orchestra area. One of the best views whatever section you are in. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I enjoy this theatre so much. It is so grand and I feel so special being able to presence a show in such a beautiful theater. Definitely enjoy a show at Radio City Music Hall. It is a must if you live or are visiting NYC.

Surprisingly this was my first time at this music hall and was beautifully decorated with holiday décor. My mom and I came and saw the Rockette’s, another local NYC bucket list checked off. Even though the seats were really close together, they were very comfortable. Thankfully we paid a little extra to sit closer to the stage(orchestra seating-aisle QQ) and had great views of the performance. No fault of the venues but your view could be obtructed if there was a very tall person sitting in front of you which was my case. I had to keep moving my head every time he moved his, LOL. Another issue again no fault of the venue is the lack of consideration other patrons have of people watching a show.(people arriving late and you have to get up or kids talking and playing throughout the show uggghhh.) We visited RCMH on Christmas Eve and the place was jammed packed! However, they were fairly organized with handling the crowds. There were separate lines for people who already had their tickets and people picking up. Thank God, I had printed our tickets because that line moved much quicker. We had to go through a quick search from Security which I didn’t mind considering the times we live in for NYC. I told my mother don’t even think about getting a drink or snack since we were going out to eat later and I knew we would be paying an arm and leg for a snack. LOL I would definitely return to another event at this venue but probably not during the holidays.

What’s NYC without a little show to watch? Nothing. My sister and I visited the city for the Christmas time and decided to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. We got ticket just about 2 and half hours before the show would start. I tried to get those online but had them for double the price. Felt pretty happy that I decided to stop by the box office. There was no line and customer service was great. The show itself was very great and appropriate for any age. The hall is pretty spacious and has great seat not matter where you seat. We sat on the second mezzanine and had a perfect view. Not to mention that the seat are pretty spacious as well and you do not feel like the person seating next to you is trying to steal your seat. Loved experiencing this event a few days before Christmas and seeing the Rockettes.

The many times I’ve been to NYC, I’ve never seen a show at Radio City Music Hall. We got tickets to see the Rockettes Christmas Show Spectacular, I’m a big fan of legs, so why not. Location is great, easy to get to from Subways, and around a lot of other city landmarks. I thought it would be dumpy but it wasnt, quite clean, staff was great directing people where they need to go and help you for any additional assistance etc. Inside was beautiful looking, decorated very nicely, puts you right in the Christmas mood! Speaking of Christmas mood, they do sell alcoholic drinks to keep you cheery. Show was great and spectacular, and had a 3D part to it too! Definitely a show you must see during the holiday season. Perfect family event for all ages. 90 minute show that was totally worth it!

RCMH is amazing! I’ve been here for Christmas Spectacular, Jason Mraz concert, and today I went to see Adele live! It’s been 4 years since she last performed and she was flawless! I love how they were able to project her face on the wall so everyone can actually see her emotions while she sangs a mix of her new and old songs. Only reason why I dropped a star was because this crazy staff member gave me the biggest attitude when I tried to get my tickets from Will Call. I had to confront him on how aggressive and hostile he was towards me. After 2 minutes, he finally backed down and gave me the tickets. Now was that so hard?

Finally visited the iconic Radio City Music Hall with my other half yesterday for the Americas Got Talent Semifinals live taping show event. This place is just awesome, right from the actual space to employees who work here. It’s hard to say from outside that the hall is actually a cone shaped area. Employees right from staff outside helping out in checking in and the security staff, everybody is so nice & helpful. Definitely coming back here to attend more shows in future.
