Rockefeller Station is your standard subway station prone to overcrowding due to tourists coming from Rockefeller Center and Radio City, but has some great functionality. It is easy to get to multiple places by walking underground and most people stationed in the area are more than willing to help.
I use it all the time to avoid the cold or the tourists and get to 46^th or 50^th street without going outside. It does get windy near the 48^th street entrances.
I recommend avoiding the idiots who ask where the «organic» restaurants are. They are there to waste your time and probably tell you something foolish.

Huge station that winds underground. It has free wifi and is big enough to handle the tourists and commuters. Currently you can change here between the B, D, F and M trains here. Platforms get very warm in summer and they still have rats, though maybe less than a few years ago

im leaving a subway station review lol. yeah i mean its a train station but pretty spacious here. when you come down the stairs you will have people running for the B D F M trains so try to move in if you can because then its like ROOOAR of the crowd and you just dont wanna be in that area.
you will also see a lot of tourists here during the winter time due to the tree ighting or NBC studio shows that are going on. and your last chance to swtich to the BD MF trains before they seperate.

This by itself is pretty cool.
This station is generally pretty clean and mostly just working professionals and tourists of course. This station will also lead you to tunnels that connect to the concourse at Rockefeller Center.
If you work in the area, then this is obviously your subway station if you are looking for the B, D, F, and M.

Large subway station that lets you right out in Rockefeller Center. This is one of the major tourists hubs of the city, much like Grand Central. Look for the hidden entrances & exits if you want to avoid the crowds of tourists. Much like your average subway station but slightly better maintained & haven’t encountered creepiness here.
There is also the major plaza right out of the 49, 50^th Street exit of this station with quite a few shops.
